    This is why most ppl in my neighborhood don’t want gardens. It’s too much work. When I started gardening over two years now… I’m realizing more & more that it’s a conscious commitment. You either love or hate it. This is why I admire your passion Mr. John Lord.

    Not true that you do not interact well with people! It's not just the plants that love you 🙂.In July 2022, on my visit to your garden center from Austin , Texas, I met your wife, your dog and, of course, YOU! You were sociable, fun and a joy to meet. So there!

    We had about a half acre of devils walking stick at our new place. Took us about two years of continuous removal of suckers to get rid of it. It’s native here and sort of beautiful but also beastly!

    Hope you had a nice time-off John. And yes, when you have a garden, there is ALWAYS something to do, no matter what time of year it is. I try to finish one job before I start another, but of course it never turns out that way, to many distractions in the garden. Looking forward to your next video!

    Planting bamboo is like inviting the devil to tea--not sure why anyone would ever do it. This is the first time I've heard you mention it's hard to control. :)

    I feel with Ivy like you do with Bamboo! I don't have enough time to keep it cut back. It has taken over my woods and up into my trees. 8 acres of Ivy!! 😳 My neighbor cut his off and brushed straight weed killer on the base. Only way he says he can control it.

    J'ai mis des tulipes et je surveille ... Ça pointe leur museau vert, c'est long encore avril, pour la floraison des belles tulipes, rouge, jaune, blanche, pourpre, orange etc . .. on attend ....🙃

      Maybe some other person goes around and cleans up. My husband is a retired elevator troubleshooter and he is accustomed to work with a helper. Now when I help him with any home improvements he does just like John Lord. Plus a retired ER physician I know does exactly this thing too. 😹

    Thank goodness the yews will green-up again. Some deer just DESTROYED both my Standishii that FINALLY started putting on growth. I moved them back into containers and have them in ICU. They grow so slow tho that unless if caged every winter, may never get make it to the height they need to be to survive.

    I just keep it simple with hellebores every spring when I see the flowers poking up I cut all the old foliage off and thats it for the year

      Yes i love the way John gardens. He has got a large plot so he seems slapdash but he just gives us an idea of what he is doing. Must be TERRIBLE having the flight path changed. None of us seem to have a say in things anymore. We are just paying humans who are given no regard to how we are handling and helping climate change😁
