Not just Kolisi, but Kitsoff as well - he's cost us several penalties in both games. That said, the real blame for the performance lies with Rassie and co. - they clearly should have rotated as SA had a day less to recover and a much harder match to recover from. It was beyond optimistic to expect them to maintain performance levels. @@chadthecat7248

Tonight SA didn't have a "bad game", England didn't allow them to have a good one. Sorry to say but if it weren't for your captain who forced us to go for poles and ten meters extra *20min) , half time would've been 12-0 and Pollard only a second half preplacement. For me, that was a big moment and SA's first points. They never looked like scoring any points and their game plan didn't work, until the fist three points nut when the score is 6-3 instead of 6-0, its a no brainer, take the points. Only my opinion. But wow England, its only a matter of months before this team is world number 1. Certainly not the same team we played four years ago. Congratulations on the best performance of the world cup. You would have trashed the All Blacks

As a Springbok supporter, I need to start of by saying, England did a number on us today. It’s actually the first time this entire tournament that I saw some of our players genuinely rattled… Our bench was the difference and the scrum dominance in the 2nd half got us out of jail. Tonight was a real smash and grab by the Boks. We were lucky to win because there was a point where we sort of looked dead and buried but England just couldn’t throw that last shovel of sand over the casket to bury us for good. I think if England were more brave in their attack play it might have been enough to force a penalty which would have probably been enough for them to get over the line. But their reluctance to play and kick the ball to us is what kept us in the game. Champions usually always find a way and boy did we have to dig deep. We will have to freshen up the squad for the final. Because mentally and physically this 23 man squad have been taken into the trenches and it’s only through sheer guts and determination that we’re still standing

You make your own luck. We played well, we just weren't quite good enough to see it out. Your team was. I think the faces on some players showed they couldn't believe they had won it either. Good luck next week. 👍

Huge commiserations to the England team. As a neutral it was nice to see England come out with some fight after everyone writing them off. English fans should be proud of their team for that! Showing they deserved to be in that semi final, irrespective of the draw.

I’m Welsh and watched it with my English mate. I didn’t know how to console him. England were immense and I can hardly believe the result. I have really enjoyed every single segment you have done and somehow it matters to see you so gutted. Keep what you are doing going. Terrific insight and a very balanced commentary. Take care. I’m desperate for the Boks to beat the All Blacks

Congrats, Bokke. Stayed in the game and found an edge at a crucial moment. Libbok also a big early call. Almost a tactical masterclass by England, built on with a mountain of heart.I knew they would turn up but the discipline in execution for most of the game deserves huge credit. Very proud but this feels like one of those brutal 2004/06 WC penalty shootout exits.

So proud of the boys. 🌹 That was an immense game and getting 1 point away from a final was more than anyone thought before this tournament. Their scrum eventually got the better of us but what a huge performance from the whole team. Congrats to the Boks and the final will be huge!

Desperately unlucky to come out on the wrong side of the scoreboard 💔 SA are just inevitable, they always seem to find a way. Excellent performance by England, with a gameplay that was aided by the pitch side conditions. Farrell's drop kick was majestic and would have been a game winning moment in many a game.
Big credit to South Africa for clawing their way back.

Your guys front row(s) have to be the envy of the world. Having 4 or 5 players that are in the top 10 for those specialisations is a phenomenal advantage. Congrats on the win, that try was unstoppable. We have some stuff to work on, to be sure, but I am very happy with our performance this evening.

South African fan here, England deserved to win today, that was a monumental performance. Owen Farrel, for all how abrasive he can be as a Captain on the field, in the same vein as Johnny Sexton can be, especially as an opposition fan, he is a truly, truly world class player. Freddie Stewart had an amazing game.
I wish this England team would turn up to every single game they play, because they are amazing, and the fans; the players; everyone deserve an england team like that. No team deserves or needs that kind of negativity as what england received.

Horrifically partisan Saffer here, your channel is such a massive breath of fresh air. I honestly cannot believe that an opposite partisan could be so humble and see the wood for the trees. One of these days I hope to grow up and be so good at being a supporter of rugby. You're a legend, and you can be massively proud of your boys, I feel like SA has had two games in a row where it came down to luck and we got the roll of the dice. No bullshit and no idiocy, England played one of the best tactics to smash the Boks and we were lucky. Thanks for being the best egg chaser, and may you one day catch that egg!
Edit: god lord but Aled Walters is an absolute pleasure/torture depending if he's on your team, right?

I knew The English were going to come for us and I knew that they were going to play this game plan, I did not realize that they were going to execute it this brilliantly. It was clear that last week's game took a lot out of the Boks and it was a huge mistake to start with the same team. Thanx for your passion and honesty.

Hard luck mate and thank you for your brilliant coverage during this tournament. Titanic struggle this semi, huge raps for both teams. What I love about our game are the different styles and as a Kiwi while I love the way we play, I fully respect these other approaches and England were bloody fantastic in this game, gutsy as hell and some superb execution. The resilience of the Boks is incredible, amazing how they find ways to win. Total respect for both teams. Can't wait for the final, looking forward to your buildup to it. #firsttofour
