My dog is currently recovery from IVDD. No movement in the hind legs at all, nor tail. 3weeks of strict crate rest, meds (anti inflammatory, musclerelaxer, anti anxiety, and nerve pain meds)...us laying him next to us and stretching his legs and doing a full range motion movements ,massages, cold packs, filling up the bath and letting him move his legs with minimum resistance...hes now walking (clumsily). Vet said he had 10% chance of walking on all 4s again unless he had a $6000 surgery, which I didnt have. My baby showed her and I'm so very proud of him🥰
I watch a RUclips channel called Bondi Vet where they’ve had a few patients with this condition. If memory serves me correctly they said it’s a neurological issue.
I have known a dog who was a smaller breed, like a chihuahua dockson or so crap. He jumped off a chair and hurt his back, losing the use of his lefs to the point he had to have a wheel chair. Chiropractic gave him the opportunity to run and play again. So it maybe doesnt work for everybody, but it works for some. Every situation/ injury is different. He also had acupunture if im not mistaken though, so not a perfect test.
I think this is wonderful!!! Our little dog had a back issue and the Vet had him on a lot of medication. We took him to a chriopractor that works on animals and humans. He is doing great now..
@@anthonygarcia3922 Most of these types of injuries heal themselves with time and pain control in a matter of a few weeks. It would’ve happened anyway, and if it didn’t heal in a few weeks, the dog would need surgery. If his job is to make money for treating a problem that would most likely treat itself, then, yes, he did his job. If you watched Cellini’s video, listen to what he says.
There are different types of paralysis. If the spinal cord is broken, that can't be fixed. If it's caused by a nuerological problem, or a pinched nerve, etc, then sometimes a full or partial recovery can occur. The fact that the dog's tail was wagging indicates that the dog's spinal cord isn't broken, so it has one of the other conditions.
I am no professional of animal care but I have seen many cases of this. And this does help. And if u are concerned about the pain the dog had. It is a normal reaction as the chiropractor discussed in a video. So nice job getting views for yourself over something that isn't even true. 👍
I don't think any chiropractor worth their salt would say that they can cure paralysis. What they can do is treat conditions that affects the dog's mobility (numbness due to pinched nerves, muscles not releasing when they should, etc) or the help in their reluctance to walk properly (pain can be a huge factor and even people will develop weird patterns in their movements to avoid pain). I've seen a dog who lost so much of their mobility in their back legs that it looked like the poor pupper was paralyzed at their waist. After a month of treatment, the dog was using their back legs again, though still not as much as a normal dog would. Chiropractors aren't miracle workers, but they can fix CERTAIN issues non-invasively and with proper upkeep.
It's really a matter of how old the dog is. If the dog is 14 years old, I'm not taking him to a chiropractor every day for a month. I'm just not. Way too expensive.

It can be an extreme condition of hip dysplasia, or a neurological dysfunction, or both. But yeah, never take your dog to the chiropractor if they’re having issues with their spine or bones. Because if a dog has a herniated disc and is showing pain in a region of the spine, going to a chiropractor and cracking those joints can run the risk of herniating discs, and your dog eventually developing meylomillacia which is a fatal disease that causes the spine to disintegrate at the side of injury and along the entire spinal cord.

Not all chiropractors are bad. This one may be, but not all. We take my dog in for back treatment, because he can’t stop tripping on the floor even though it’s even, so he slides. He gets a back chiropracty and he kinda loves it
The TikTok one was mostly likely edited by someone else as the RUclips one he never said the dog was paralyzed, just that he wasn't using his back legs, and after multiple sessions, he was using them again.
There's two possibilities. Either the dog is just not using its back legs as much as it should for some reason (maybe pain or atrophy?) or it's partially paralyzed but not fully. To me it looks like the dog is having pain in its spine near its butt. There's a certain point where it just kind of... Lets its spine run half limp. To me that looks like it's just being stiff due to pain. That said it could also just suddenly be limp there because well.. like i said.. partial paralysis happens.
There is always shady people out there to try to take your money. Especially when it comes to your pets. These crooks know that people will spend any amount on their pets to cure them

It couldn't use it's back legs, it received chiropractic treatments, and over the course of those treatments it gradually was able to walk again. Soo where exactly is this crook you speak of?
Sometimes the only paralysis present is pain, other doctors will claim it as paralysis since that is in fact what is shown to be effected. You wouldn’t say someone with walking mobility doesn’t have one just because they are ABLE to walk under certain parameters.

Ivdd can be medically managed with rest/analgesia and time. They can walk again. Same with other conditions such as FCE or ANNPE. Time is what they need and probably what helped this dog :)
The dog's body language was after was still fearful and distressed, trying to find the exit and leave as fast as possible. No eye contact, no stopping to sniff, no perky happy ears. Ears back, panting, avoiding people and struggling to maintain enough control to keep moving.
no hate but if you have a look at the video posted by @thedodo then you can see it was never confirmed that the dog was paralysed and maybe it wasn’t entirely the chiropractic sessions but chiropractors can do amazing things ❤
Will chiropractor work help with a slipped disk? My 4lb chihuahua just slipped a disk and the meds don't seem to be helping, really don't want to put her to sleep 😢
Yes it can. A slipped disc means displaced or partly out of alignment can press on nerves and cause pain or affect function. A herniated disc can happen to our spine from an accident or injury. Spinal manipulations can help shift the displaced disc back into alignment and relieve pressure on the nerves that’s causing pain or limit movements. Adjustments are not for everyone, that’s why we have to consider the injury, medical history leading to what happened to your dog and imaging verify the location and severity of the injury. As a medical provider I can tell you that much. Spinal manipulation is done not only by chiropractors but other healthcare providers as well such as physical therapists, nurse practitioners and DO after becoming certified in osteopathic manipulation therapy. Please do your own research and ask for multiple opinions in regard to your dog. Im so sorry about your dog :( hope she feels better.
@@DVMCellini It actually helped my slipped disc a ton. Between seeing a chiropractor, and also exercising at the gym, my slipped disc problem entirely went away. I’m really thankful
@@DVMCellini I think DVM Cellini is just a weird guy who has some hard-on for bashing chiro’s lmao. He seems kinda weird. Nah, chiro’s aren’t “magic” but they do help! It takes strength training too tho. Lots of ab, back, and core work to strengthen your core, along with lifting
My cat went paralyzed waist down all the X-rays and blood work showed nothing vets were stumped, things like this can happen and he eventually re routed his function and gained mobility but never had the same power in his legs took about 6 months the chiro did nothing wrong, even our own surgery started in Barber shops. Not everything is for everyone but there was nothing to call out here
There are legitimate good chiropractors out there For both animal and mammal You just really have to do your research. Sure certain bones and discs can be fixed with a simple and easy repositioning. But before that a good chiropractor will always look your x-rays first Because sometimes the disc that has slipped can either be very fragile or in such an awkward position that if it were to be forced back in place? Not only could there be considerable damage But sometimes irreversible damage that could cripple you. That would require multiple surgeries just to alleviate the pain And never truly fix what what was wrong with you in the first place.
Maybe show the full transfornation and context before trying to "expose" the animal chiropractor he never once said the dog was paralyzed or that he cured his paralysis

No matter what you think chiropractics have a connection to neurological problems such as paralysis. I doubt this is full paralysis because of the recovery rate. You can regain the use of your legs via therapy, medicine, and yes, chiropractor trips help too.
And before you comment, I’m not saying a chiropractor trip solves paraplegia. I’m saying, depending on your circumstances, you can gain use of your legs via a chiropractor trip.

Just know that the word Skeptvet is followed by a dot com. He analyzes studies and meta-studies (including the original citations) and posts conclusions based on all the data. Data analysis should be right up your alley, based on your name, huh? My statement is based on thirty-five years as a veterinarian who has seen results of both. It’s called “regression to the mean” and most credible chiropractic vs time studies show it. Seventy-five percent of dogs I see with IVDD heal with time and anti-inflammatory drugs. I have to refer relatively few for surgery and NONE-ZERO-of the patients whose owners chose acupuncture or chiropractic over my advice have recovered full function at that point. Look, can we all just agree that some treatments are appropriate in some cases and not appropriate in others. Chiropractors have their place, and it's not in healing a problem, it's in relieving the problem. There is a big difference there. You can receive a pinched nerve or misaligned joint or over pressured joint. You have to heal an injury or illness. I swear a lot of doctors (human or animal, not the doctors but the patients) just get an attitude and arrogance issue when they get their license, and think that only THEIR way is the proper way. Why hate on the man though?
he is attention seeker
Cmon puppy, i love you too much for you to be playing with my heart like this
Ivdd can be medically managed with rest/analgesia and time. They can walk again. Same with other conditions such as FCE or ANNPE. Time is what they need and probably what helped this dog :)
ding ding ding
I love how happy the dog was afterwards
The dog's body language was after was still fearful and distressed, trying to find the exit and leave as fast as possible. No eye contact, no stopping to sniff, no perky happy ears. Ears back, panting, avoiding people and struggling to maintain enough control to keep moving.
@@carefreecaninetrainingand you train dogs? Big yikes
no hate but if you have a look at the video posted by @thedodo then you can see it was never confirmed that the dog was paralysed and maybe it wasn’t entirely the chiropractic sessions but chiropractors can do amazing things ❤
Im curious to know if removing backed up stool from the entirety of the large intesting can help with paralysis
If the paralysis is cause by a pinch nerve or out of place vertebre, and adjustment can repair it over multiple sessions and then physical therapy!
Awww, poor fella. Animals need help, too. This is refreshing to see.
lol found the original video of this guy and dog became fine after about 2 days. nice job on "Exposing"

It is so sad that people don’t even try to find the sources of their information

So cringe that click bait titles are still a thing
Probably ivdd. Chiropractor can help release some pressure on the spinal nervous system.
No he can’t
Wow I feel bad for your fellow vets, you make them all look like haters
Will chiropractor work help with a slipped disk? My 4lb chihuahua just slipped a disk and the meds don't seem to be helping, really don't want to put her to sleep 😢
No
Thank you for your honesty!!
Not everything is for everyone but there was nothing to call out here
Aside from it being complete quackery?
Look up The Dodo Chiropractor for the full video where the dog uses his back legs again, and the man never states that the dog was paralyzed.
It’s probably a horrible pain in the lower back because swimming does loosen up the joints
There are legitimate good chiropractors out there
For both animal and mammal
You just really have to do your research.
Sure certain bones and discs can be fixed with a simple and easy repositioning.
But before that a good chiropractor will always look your x-rays first
Because sometimes the disc that has slipped can either be very fragile or in such an awkward position that if it were to be forced back in place? Not only could there be considerable damage
But sometimes irreversible damage that could cripple you.
That would require multiple surgeries just to alleviate the pain
And never truly fix what what was wrong with you in the first place.
No research to do on quackery that is non science based
Looks like the Dog has been Drunk 😅😂😂😂😂
Personal opinion I don't think dogs should be adjusted downwards. Based on how their spines are. It makes sense to adjust upwards.
i mean some people get numb legs from back pain. but who knows with the internet nowadays
Then what cures the dog?
Whats the injection looking tool they use?
Maybe show the full transfornation and context before trying to "expose" the animal chiropractor he never once said the dog was paralyzed or that he cured his paralysis
Literally did but 👍🏻 ok

so happy to see a dog feeling better already and being able to use their legs a bit better just after one session

do you think my rabbit with a head tilt could benefit from this? my vertigo was healed by a chiro. just assuming it would help my rabbit
I always see comments of "that animal is a paid actor" but i never imagined it could actually be real lmao. That Dog should win an oscar.
Oh really smart guy I've had my uncle who was quadriplegic with therapy and adjustment be able to gain function of his body again. Actually there is alot of stories with the same results dyor people
yes chiropractors can’t cure paralysis. paralysis occurs when a nerve is damaged permanently, that is clearly not the case with that dog
They can’t cure anything. All they can do is take your money.
My brother’s 4 year old French Bulldog got a herniated disc at age 4 and they had to put him down. I wonder if there was anything else they could do.
The boy slide canceling
What breed is that dog? Its so cute!
Chiropractic Care still has less Medical Malpractice Lawsuits than supposed "Actual" Medicine has, but that's none of my business. 🤷
Source? Or did you just pull this out from your ass
👍
Im no professional, but i would assume something like a disc or ligmaent tear, maybe a sprained hip bone?
This makes me so angry and it's so hard to watch I'm not even mad at anyone know I think these people are truly trying to do the right thing and help their pet maybe the Chiropractic person is just a scam artist I don't know but the family's heart is in the right place I'm sure it just makes me feel anger to see an animal in pain
Look up the video on RUclips, the dodo chiropractor. He states that the dog wasn't using his back legs, and after multiple sessions, he was using them again.
Man: he's fine
Bro I took mine in to a chiropractor in San Jose omg it saved my dogs life! 😊
Lack of letting the dog run free
I'v seen dogs with similar issue before and it's been a slipped disk given the impression of be paralyzed
Herniated disc would be my bet
@@DVMCellini I won't take that bet herniated accepted 😂
How was it before?
I would love to know
That looks like they had Novocain shot in each leg and they filmed the dog as it wore off.
Poor baby hope he's doing good now
Maybe look for ticks..
Been thinking the same damn thing. 🤦🏽♂️
Well that adjustment put the pep back in his step.
that dog should go see Dr. Doug Willen

Oh my… I’m mind blown 🤯
Ohhh is that jealousy I’m sensing

yeah he is attention seeker
What dog breed is this again?
Hes so excited
😂😂😂...parece que ele ficou contente em sair daí 😂😂😂😂
Results speak for themselves. 🤷🏻♂️
i was so confused by the captions i couldnt tell of it was sarcasium or if it was knocking the practice of the chiropractor due to the dog not looking like its having fun and more it looking like its in pain
The video on RUclips by The Dodo showed that the dog was doing better, and the guy never stated that it was paralyzed and he cured it. Just that it wasn't using its back legs, and after a couple of sessions, he was moving again.
The only thing that should be exposed is you making your own bullshit up. The dog got way better with multiple visits.
The dog went back for multiple appointments. Eventually it was running.
Yes, and would also have been running with a few weeks’ time and zero chiropractic manipulation.
@@Debbie338 and your proof?
@@localanalysts6839 I’m not sure what’s happening here, but I’ve posted a reply twice that didn’t show up. It may be the fact that I included links, so I’ll try it worded without links.
Apparently, I can’t post a link here (tried), but if you go to Skeptvet’s website and search “chiropractic,” you’ll have all the citations you need to see my proof.

If he didn't have a name yet, he should be called Drifty
Look, can we all just agree that some treatments are appropriate in some cases and not appropriate in others. Chiropractors have their place, and it's not in healing a problem, it's in relieving the problem. There is a big difference there. You can receive a pinched nerve or misaligned joint or over pressured joint. You have to heal an injury or illness. I swear a lot of doctors (human or animal, not the doctors but the patients) just get an attitude and arrogance issue when they get their license, and think that only THEIR way is the proper way. Blinding yourself to using only ONE type of care is just as bad as using the WRONG care.
