I don’t like Firecracker, but I do sympathize with her to a degree. Despite being a supe, she was a poor country girl. Those Vought talent shows could’ve been her opportunity to better herself, but Starlight took that away from her. Now the only way she can be seen and heard is by being a hillbilly podcaster reporting fake propaganda.
Exactly. Firecracker channeled her hurt from being bullied into bullying others. She even says to Sage that she doesn’t entirely believe in the crap she spews, but people will listen to her no matter what.
It makes sense that someone who was damaged by lies and so tired of not being heard that they decided to target a group of people who believe everything they say. Just shows how damaged Firecracker’s self-esteem actually is, she’s willing to grift these harmful ideals she doesn’t even believe out of need for validation.
It’s actually quite sad and really realistic.

Postpartum depression has no minimum or maximum length that it can last. MOST people improve after 3-6 months but not everyone, for some people it just sticks and doesn't go away for a long time.
That’s absolutely true but Hughie said the last time he saw her he was 6 years old so if your postpartum is lasting 6 years you need to see a therapist or a doctor or someone, it’s no excuse if you let it go on that long
@Chubby_Runs To be fair not everyone has the money/opportunity to go to a therapist and also not for everyone it's helping. Sure she didn't go about it the best way but she also did try to get back into contact with Hughie.

Kinda shocked you guys wrote Firecracker off so fast. Starlight completely derailed her life. Honestly their scene together was the most powerful this season so far. Both women should be looked at a bit differently after that conversation.

Yeah these people don’t get how devastating what happened to Firecracker actually was. She was a child who was publicly humiliated and slandered to the point that her career was ruined before it truly even started. Love how they cut the line RIGHT after where Firecracker says “the more you deny it, the more they believe it” too.
I fail to see the humor in the situation, especially when I went through something very similar around the same age. A lot of the time it requires therapy to heal from.

You can usually tell who were the bullies/enablers back in the day (the ones who brush it off) vs the folks who actually went through something similar (the ones who recognize what happened to her was actually deeply traumatic)

I heard that the guy running THE BOYS said he originally planned a 5 season show.
But, not long ago, he had some ideas of how to keep the show into season 6, & maybe more...

It seems like A-Train might follow a similar character arc to Maeve in The Boys. Initially, Maeve followed Homelander's orders reluctantly, but she gradually started helping the Boys behind his back until she ultimately took him on. It's interesting to note that Maeve survived, considering that in the comics, she didn't. It's surprising, but I hope A-Train also survives and becomes one of the Boys.
Unfortunately I believe that ATrain will die this season... that's sad but I really think that's what will happen

I think the girl Kimiko saw with the scar is the same girl from the picture at truthcon. In the flashback, the guys were making her fight her, so maybe Kimiko is the one that gave her that scar.

Always people saying how much he sucks in the argument with Ryan at the end, while I feel actually kinda bad for Homelander. He wants his son to have things he's never had and actually want someone to love and care about, which he has in his son. It also surprises me that he isn't abusive against him, when you expect something different from Homelander.
