Dear Ganesh Raghavaji, thanks for showing Kalyan Anjaneya of Uttara Merur. Temple entrance was nice. You showed camel in main Gopuram. It is the actual Vahana ( Vechile) of Anjaneya. In Bengaluru Sanjaynagar Radhakrishnan temple Camel vigraha is kept in front of Anjaneya, as Garuda will be for Vishnu, Nandi for Shiva, Simha for Durga etc will be kept. When I enquired about to the priest about this, he told that Camel is vechile of Lord Anjaneya. He also quoted in Anjaneya Suprabhatha sloka, it will come I.e. " Ushtravahana word is mentioned " i.e Ushtra means Camel, Vahana means vechile. So they have kept Camel in front of Anjaneya. It is the only temple of Bengaluru where camel is kept as Vahana. Once I had been to therazhunthoor perumal Koil near mayavaram, the bhattachariar explained about the temple sthala varalaaru more than half an hour we were spell bound; like that in naathan koil where the watch man explained in detail about the temple before the bhattachariar came, more than in thirunageswaram raghusthalam in the Amman sannathi the sivachariar explained not only about that deity but also the importance of all navagraha sthalams around that place but also connected the varalaaru to the deity Amman in raghusthalam.
