Secret Secret was written by Han -- virtually all of his solo-written songs will likely have this effect on you because _this_ is what he writes when he's alone; they nearly all can gut a person. So...good luck.

They've now remade and rereleased virtually all of their originally nine-members songs. (That member left in October 2019; the last song and last video he features in is the original Korean version of "Double Knot.") The only songs for which they haven't released updated ot8 versions are Glow, School Life, 4419, Hero's Soup, and the intros. And the songs you'll hear on music streaming sites are the ot8 versions, as the audio was updated basically across the board, including on songs listed under the original nine-member album covers.
Out of all the stuff made with nine members, the only updated ot8 videos we've gotten have been the Voices Special Video, the Boxer Special Video, the Double Knot English ver (the original was the Korean ver and with nine members), and Placebo (for which the nine-member ver, Mixtape 1, didn't have a video anyway). Placebo was _just_ released a couple months ago as a gift for STAY, but the other three were definitely made to serve as updated alternative videos for some of their more popular songs at that stage of their career/discography.
As for any significant audio differences between nine-member versions and ot8 versions, there's not much in most songs. A few have small lyrical tweaks to change references that were originally about them being nine, but other than that the only changes of note are really in the numbered Mixtapes. In addition to being retitled from Mixtape [Number 1-5] back into the titles from the original 3RACHA raps they were expanded from, they also had the lyrics/parts that were written by Woojin removed, so the songs are actually different in content now. And then there's Placebo (formerly Mixtape 1), where in addition to the removal of Woojin's parts, Han goes nuts and channels his inner torch singer for a few seconds, meaning there's also a noticeable difference in the song beyond just the lack of Woojin's parts. So basically, the songs formerly known as Mixtapes 1-5 are the only songs with a significantly different form from the original versions. But the ot8 Double Knot, Voices, and Boxer videos are definitely different and worth watching.
And Sorry, I Love You was written solely by Changbin, the closet romantic of the group. When he writes solo, we usually get one of their few sad-romantic-feels songs, like this. (For perspective, another one is called "Even a Fool Knows" and another (which the rest of 3RACHA eventually joined in on, but he started alone) is "Crazy Bastard" in reference to the person singing the song.
Changbin's of the "romantic, but make it _hurt"_ school of love songs.
The Voices dance video is a redo of the original. with all the older songs Woojin was the main vocalist in the group so it really shows how good Han is as he mainly takes Woojins parts and still does his own singing/rapping parts in the songs Stray kids had to do A LOT of work changing the dances and singing parts after he left

We all cried at Secret Secret. I STILL cry when I listen to it. It's such a powerful song. And I expect nothing less from Han Jisung.
Voices helped me in a very tough time and I still get emotional over this song as well. SKZ has this way of just being incredibly relatable but also hitting you right in the feels.
Sorry, I love you still hurts me. Like, knowing you love someone but apologizing for it.. like a gut punch. Also would expect nothing less from Changbin, especially after Streetlight.

Also yes, I think they re-recorded Voices for the SKZ2020/2021. And the song itself is about just kind of breaking free form the voices in your head telling you horrible thoughts. And just listening to your own voice and being happy and succeeding.

Regarding your remark "why are you (STAYS) making me attach to them"? But in fact, it's Stray kids themselves and the personal songs they create that makes you attach to them :)
i cried the first time i heard voices, just listening to the song and then i cried when i read the lyrics. i have the most emotional attachment to that song and back then it was THE fan favourite song. voices was my favourite song of 2018 and many ppl had voices as their favourite skz song back then. (the newer version is ot8 and fans really missed the song so it was an amazing present to promote skz2020 album)

They remake almost all their ot9 song to be ot8 song. They're re recording all of them, the reason why, maybe bcs their old song has a former member, which is he is no longer in stray kids.
A lot of ot9 songs were re-recorded after a certain member left - making them into ot8 songs instead through their compilation albums SKZ2020 and SKZ2021. I think the reason we got another special performance video was to promote skz2020 but also as a gift to stay. 10/10 recommend listening to skz2020 and skz2021 - you can hear how much they’ve vocally improved
To hear the duality of their voices I would suggest District 9 they have debut song when they were a group of 9 then 24 to 25 and if you like the shipping culture I would suggest watching the MV as well because Bang Chan knows all and sees all lol

I'm not %100 sure if this has anything to do with the reason for the performance video for voice but I do know that they have a skz2020 and skz2021 albums and those are basically remakes of old songs that no longer include their former member. So I'm assuming that since voices was on the skz2020 they decided to do a redo video for it??
