Yeah, that is something drl has to improve. There is to much bullsh*t moderator talking in DRL. This here with Vanover was great, makes your self as a viewer more focused on the race.

Did that Alex' video seem really bad, or is that just how it is at these big races? I mean, it's perfectly flyable, but it seems like a lot of colored bands and noise. Or is this a case of the DVR being noticeably worse than what you see in the goggles?I have HD3s, and my DVR looks pretty good to me , especially compared to what I saw here, but it's mostly outdoors too, and I imagine all the multipathing and stray RF don't help.

I had the pleasure of watching Alex fly at the North Dallas Speed Adicts home track a few years ago when his voice was still cracking. lol. That kid is a wizard at the sticks!! I knew way back then that the vanover hype was legit AF!!

The boy and I are building our fleet to learn this thing called FPV.... tinyhawk(fun around the yard), Tomoquads Carrera(micro 2.5" racer), FVP Flight club Neutron 3" our park Practice quad, and when we can make it to the field.... 2hrs away.... our tokio pro's. Just want to fly, fly and fly some more!
What kind of antennas are you running on your multi-rotor there seems to be a lot of static and breaking up so far between 25 and 800 milliwatts out at the field I've never seen anything that broken up I haven't flown anything fpv of mine since my toy grade multi-rotor jd509 it was a little cheap thing there was a little breaking up while flying it but the damn thing was so slow it didn't really matter. My biggest issue I have with my multi-rotor build is flashing the Wii 2 .6 I don't have the tool or the software to do so for a plug and play board there is quite a bit of hassle.
Was it only the dvr that was so bad or is that normal to have an image that terrible when so many people are flying at the same time? BTW, awesome flying - amazing how you got used to the track so quick
When racing in indoor environment, even when using Clearview system for the pilots, the video feed can be horrible. In fact, my thought watching this video was "wow, such clean video for a place like that!" When flying with that quality, your brain tricks you to think the interferences don't exist and you can fly comfortably, it's not that bad!
@@alphabetamedia interesting, I always thought that perfect image was the key to drone racing. I could see myself getting into outdoor racing but I think I'll stick with some backyard freestyle for now :D

He's fast, but if you watch in the final he'll pull back to get back on his line and not hit gates. That's actually being fast.
