Is it me or does the face of the vehicle look like Star Wars trooper.
Recently bought a Discovery sport! Gotta say this one of the most entertaining car reviews I've seen in recent times.
How is it? I'm semi-tempted to get one but it gets very mixed reviews.
@@robicenco1 had the 2016 sport for bout a year now. Great car but have to know how to manage the DPF filter. If your not driving on motorway often or at revs of 2000-3000 for 15minutes at least once every 2 week. It cant do the passive regen and It will block up. Youll have to pay £££ everytime to unblock.
@@robicenco1 The new Disco sport is an excellent car. I hired one for a week in the Alps last winter (D180 S Auto) and I'm totally getting a D200 S MHEV once my current lease (Japanese SUV) runs out! It's so much more refined and luxurious than all the other brands I've tested and the one I had did 45mpg on average over a mix of 1000 miles of Autobahn and 2500m-high Alps (not 31mpg, Matt!) All 6 of us (plus 2 set of skis) fitted in it for trips to the slopes, it has a *lot* of space. It was utterly unflappable on the snowy roads and the 4x4 grip was amazing. The handling is as dynamic as anyone needs for a proper SUV and the manual gearchange is easy and quick -it'll even keep 8th gear at low speeds, so brawny is the 320lbs ft torque output. The performance is plentiful and it's deceptively fast because it's so refined and smooth. The steering is quick and accurate, with very good feel and the vehicle has impressive stability at 100mph Autobahn speeds ;-) Honestly, it was a revelation for someone who grew up with Range Rovers and currently drives a 'Japanese SUV' -it's so much better and really feels £40k worth of vehicle.
@@dar780 Thanks - I've heard about the filter thing. Seems like a slightly surprising fault/issue for a car in this day and age to have, but as long as you take it for a spin every so often it seems like it shouldn't be too much of a probem.

- Repaired Dashboard creaks
- Repaired B Pillar Ticking
- Repaired Faulty Outside air temp
- Repaired Auto start stop no working

I rented one of these to drive to london from up north with my family. I thought it was amazingly comfortable and a brilliant drive.
And it didn’t break down. What Sn accomplishment.

Elmar Berwari Looks like the car engine wasn’t switched on, it was in AC mode which usually turns on all electronics and warning lights (ABS, Airbags, Check Engine). It’s the same for most cars, the warning light should go off as soon as the engine is switched on

Range rovers have a specific feel to them and are good off roaders, if you can afford dumping a range after 2 years and buy brand new one again that's the way to go. Mercedes BMW or any luxury car after 2 years is at risk of major mechanical failure. I would recommend range rover for snow and other rough conditions over any 4 wheel vehicle on the planet with exception of custom machines

Couple of things.
The gearboxes are 9 speed zf boxes not 8.
I drive mine around with a roof tent and awning on it and still aVerage 33mpg mixed driving and about 40 on motorways

At 5:30 you are showing frustration using the volume touch control. However you are simply not using the control correctly. Instead of swiping up and down to adjust the volume you simply spin the the touch control surface with your finger clockwise or anti-clockwise. Think if it like a physical volume knob. Works great. If you read the manual is all in there. Great video as usual though. Cheers.

With the volume on the steering wheel, you have to use your finger to rotate it clockwise to increase and counter to decrease, you don’t go up and down.

But in full honesty; I really think this is an issue with new cars, all the new technologies make that these cars won't last as long as their predecessors did. Considering the carbon emission created with the production of a new car, I truly wonder if most new cars really are better for the environment than older cars.

The bonnet streaks are fro the letters at the front of the car. They block some dirt but most of it gets through the gaps
