This is a good vintage model of keyboards as I’ve gladly owned one many years ago and sometimes I regret selling it as it has some fantastic features including digital synthesiser custom drummer and other stuff you may well find once you gleam more information on it and messed about with it. The MIDI functions on it would be very useful though my midi skills aren’t good at all. I’d love using external mid if I could. I’ve had loads of keyboards over the years and indeed again this is a real classic and very good for its time the technology dating back to 1988. If you also put it through and effects processor to gain reverb chorus and other stunning effects, it will really bring out fantastic results.
I just got one for 30Euro, without adaptor and one key loose. That's all fixed and adaptor I had laying around. Great deal! Super happy with this one cause it's the one I always wanted to have as kid when it just came out. It's even a nice addition to my setup and just fun to play with. It's light in weight so easy to take as well. Good fun!
I just started playing on one of these that my girlfriend gave me, it belonged to her moms ex-husband. He got it for his kids, her step-brothers but they had no interest in it. Thanks for making a video about the keyboard I started playing. Clearly you too time out of your day to make this video so I watched it all the way through as I typed this out. Wherever you are in the world I hope you are having a great time, and if you arent yet, I know it wont be long before it gets better. Hang in there brother! If you're still reading this, what is your favorite song to play on piano?
I had one back in the day, was fun to play with. Not exactly sure what happened to it, though. I don't recall selling it. I have a Yamaha MODX6+ now, completely different league.
Yes the MIDI function on the panel relates to the midi ports at the back of the keyboard so you would need five pin din leads to plug into other sources for these ports to work and setting up midi.
You want to turn off the bottom left button ( Play On / Off ) as if that's turned on you are using the custom drummer ( which until you change it is the default style drums 00 )
PS, I think the buzzing could well be an earth issue which is probably a design fault as mine used to do the same. There might be a way of eradicating it possibly.

Again a real classic model of keyboards and this one you have got, looks brand-new as if it has never been used and even the box is in good condition.
It was well loved and looked after, ive got the same one and the box is the same and the manual and I clean the keyboard.
Still use it sometimes

Ive got one of these. I'm having a blast with it. The line out is super clean, has none of that nasty hiss that comes from the speakers.

Still have mine. I use it as a MIDI Controller. But, if you want to bring those old flat sounds to life, just throw in some DSP.
The intensity of this testing was so immense that it broke the spell check.
D.j can you post the error data sheet!? The online manual doesn't come with it.

The most unusual unboxing and review I've ever seen. 😂

This is kind of bizarre. I was a kid in the 80s and did get one of these :) Nice vid. Wow I remember the errata sheet and the packaging!

I bought a PSS-680 around April or May in 2021 while I was on sabbatical from where I used to work.
