Well, the rapper you're looking for is Ilhoon and he's the main rapper and known for his unique melodic rap. Sad to say he got involved in some issues in 2020 so he had to leave for the sake of the group..but his loss was really heartbreaking for Melody and I gez much unbearable with the other 6. They've been together for almost more than 10 years, their bond and brotherhood is so deep..everyone's affected by what happened. And if you're going to listen to their new album, some songs seem to be messages for him..their sadness and loss and love for him can really be seen in the lyrics and felt in their songs. The Song is bittersweet for Melody. We're all supposed to be together for their 10th anniversary. But pandemic happened and Ilhoon is no longer with them. And more than their promise of singing together until they lose their voices, what Melody really want is to see all seven of them complete once more on stage. Just once more. BTOB knows how Melody feels and they can't speak freely of it too so yeah, we get The Song instead. It's really sooo personal between BTOB and Melody.

Can't really see from "mere" 32million views in RUclips. And your favorite rapper, Ilhoon is going to finish his military service tomorrow, Feb 27. But he'll still gonna be behind the scene for at least 3 years. 😭😭 You're right he's a very major piece, so a lot of Melodies are hoping him to comeback with the group. I personally happy just with one reunion stage. You're right also about the rappers have different styles. Ilhoon is the laid back one, he's used to be the main rapper, usually get the most line or rap first. The thirst trap is Minhyuk, he has glamour, full of frills (you can hear him growling), charismatic rap style. Peniel, the American has classic relax Western rap style. Ilhoon didn’t finish his military service yet. It was paused and we all know the reason why. But I think he will quietly go back to military sometime soon, if he is not back there already. So safe to say, he’ll be finishing his service end part of this year.

I just love how The Song has a ton of interpretations. Officially, it is to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of BTOB. To some, it is the group's dedication song for the fans as they came back from the military, but my personal favorite interpretation is that this is dedicated to ilhoon, and that wherever he is, he can always come back home to BTOB and Melody, and that the songs that we used to sing will forever connect him to us
Although BtoB is known for their power vocal ballads, one of my favourites bops in KPop is their song Wow. You should also check their drunk live version of Missing You. They sing at a restaurant and celebrate the song’s number 1 spot on all the Korean charts. Unfortunately Ilhoon, the great rapper had to leave the group after being charged with doing drugs (marijuanas). SKorea has archaic drug laws. He was sentenced to 4 years in jail. Il Hoon appealed the sentenced and it was reduced to 2 years probation and something else. But BtoB will always be 7 members.

You're right also about the rappers have different styles. Ilhoon is the laid back one, he's used to be the main rapper, usually get the most line or rap first. The thirst trap is Minhyuk, he has glamour, full of frills (you can hear him growling), charismatic rap style. Peniel, the American has classic relax Western rap style. But they all go well together when needed. ❤️
Ilhoon didn’t finish his military service yet. It was paused and we all know the reason why. But I think he will quietly go back to military sometime soon, if he is not back there already. So safe to say, he’ll be finishing his service end part of this year.

I just love how The Song has a ton of interpretations. Officially, it is to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of BTOB. To some, it is the group's dedication song for the fans as they came back from the military, but my personal favorite interpretation is that this is dedicated to ilhoon, and that wherever he is, he can always come back home to BTOB and Melody, and that the songs that we used to sing will forever connect him to us

Although BtoB is known for their power vocal ballads, one of my favourites bops in KPop is their song Wow. You should also check their drunk live version of Missing You. They sing at a restaurant and celebrate the song’s number 1 spot on all the Korean charts. Unfortunately Ilhoon, the great rapper had to leave the group after being charged with doing drugs (marijuanas). SKorea has archaic drug laws. He was sentenced to 4 years in jail. Il Hoon appealed the sentenced and it was reduced to 2 years probation and something else. But BtoB will always be 7 members.

so in conclusion there are 6 active members now. Eunkwang, Changsub, Minhyuk, Peniel (the ones you know), Hyunsik (the one who starts Missing You), and Sungjae (the vocalist you didn't recognize in Insane). Ilhoon was the rapper whose rap you liked but he sadly was removed from the group
