"What type of music are you into?" "Me? Oh nothing" Also me: 0:00 The MS Paint drawings are honestly kinda cute! On top of the fact the song is an absolute banger! You're not perfect, but nobody is! We appreciate you for being you and embracing it!
2:36 reminds me when I got stuck at Rosemont at the L and missed my pace bus to the hotel in Franklin Park last year... Stood there until 10 PM and had to get a cab...
Thanks for another interesting music video transit topic. I have traveled extensively around the country and usually did my research but some times even that does not work. As advertised on schedules all service is subject to change and a few times I had to make last minute adjustments due to service interruptions or no notification of a line not running. I hope you continue to have more interesting travel but don’t forget to do your research first.
As a 2-time WVU alumnus, I forgive you for the name gaffe. Now, if you had done anything to insinuate that the school was in regular Virginia (like ESPN often does), then we would have problems that couldn't be resolved by a catchy song.
Eh, that’s entirely West Virginia’s fault, “State of Kanawha” should have been chosen, it would have given the state an identity all its own. What could have been…
I think your episodes are best when you just go for it without perfect research. It’s so much more informative watching you do the wrong thing than the right thing.
Taking the bus to Wallops Island is possible, but it is extremely difficult, especially when it's time to go back. I can't stress this enough. If you want to see a rocket launch from Wallops Island and plan on leaving your car at home, you better do your research. It is so easy to end up stranded out there. You don't want to find out how much an Uber costs out on the eastern shore. For that matter, you might not even be able to get one at all. Caleb better do his bloody research if he wants to see a rocket launch from Wallops Island. 🚌 to 🚀 that sounds like quite an exciting adventure.
@@ClassyWhale there is a launch from Wallops Island scheduled this August. I don't know if you consider Greyhound transit or not but they do stop on the eastern shore of Virginia and there is a local bus during the week you can take to a good place to view launches from. For that matter there's an extensive local bus network on Virginia's Eastern Shore that not many people know about. You have used Greyhound before in your videos so I think it's fair to use Greyhound. Plan on staying near Wallops Island for a while. Weather and technical issues can delay rocket launches. I use the free space launch now app to keep track of upcoming launches. Getting to Wallops Island isn't easy on the bus but getting back is even harder. However it absolutely can be done. If you accept the challenge whatever you do don't forget to do your bloody research.
@@ClassyWhale by the way both Greyhound and Flixbus stop in Titusville Florida. Titusville is one of the best places to see rocket launches from Cape Canaveral. Caleb didn't do his research. 🤣
Are you doing academic research in public transit? I'm doing an MASc. at the University of Toronto in public transportation researching fare and service integration in the GTHA
@@ClassyWhale You should check out TTC. They have a travel training program where WheelTrans (paratransit) applicants can get a free consultation from a TTC personnel on how to ride the conventional system like boarding low-floor streetcars, paying their fare, etc. WheelTrans is very expensive and the TTC is seeking to convert most WheelTransusers (in accordance with revised requirements from provincial legislation) to its conventional subway, streetcar, and bus system. Under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), transit systems must be completely accessible by 2025, meaning that many customers can now use the existing system as more and more stations have elevators and all buses and streetcars are low floor.
Absolutely epic because whether someone admits it or not, we are all a little bit Caleb. Brought back memories of the time I walking 20 minutes under the blazing 105F summer sun in Tel Aviv. Had to backtrack after missing two stops because I did know what to do to get off the bus.

Great song! We're all guilty of messing up here and there when it comes to transit, but we learn from and help each other through experience (and prior research).
This was amazing! This made me want to watch the videos that were referenced that I haven't seen. Which is only a few of them because I think I've only been a subscriber for a year or so, but I know that not doing your research as been a staple and kind of in-joke on the channel for a while now so this was pretty perfect. Great way to celebrate 2 years as a travel channel IMO.
That horn sounds kinda familiar... Nah, but forrealtho, thanks Caleb, for giving me the opportunity to put the skills I learned in college to good use once again. Managed to record everything I contributed (the 4-part horn harmonies, the solo, and the end) in the span of an hour and a half marathon session, and I (and Caleb) are both so happy with how it turned out! E: Also, at the end, "French" horn is a misnomer, as the design with rotary valves you see in orchestras and wind bands today originates from Germany, so the International Horn Society considers the official name of the instrument to be just "the horn." Ironic how the "Caleb Didn't Do His Research" music vid has a "Caleb Didn't Do His Research" Moment itself, but like the CapeFlyer Incident, I'm gonna give him a pass on this one since there's no way he could've known that without me telling him lol
Miles been real quiet since this dropped

The ms paint drawings are spot on
Can’t believe no one commented on “welcome to new haven home of harvard “ 😂😂. Loved the song and the ms paint drawings especially
I slipped and called it Harvard in the original vlog so I just kept it going haha

Hey it's been a while! How's life?
life is good! also would 100% buy a “caleb didn’t do his research” shirt
Thank you! That was very funny! :-)))
You need to make an alt channel for just music: Musical Transit
Love the song! If you want to do the t-shirt, put your logo on the front and “Caleb didn’t do his research” on the back 😁
The other video makes so much more sense. Also what is you field of study if your writing about transit.
Occupational therapy :)
great music video 👍🎼🎶
Just rewatched this with auto-captioning on and "Spain had prostitution" makes for an interesting reason why you missed the TGV 😂😂😂

HA HA IM LAUGH
Whats the episode where you go to san Diego? I can't find it
There's a link on that part of the video
Lyrics:
Caleb went down to New Haven just to have a trolley ride
Gave his luggage to a redcap but the man waved him aside
Cause they didn't have facilities to store his things at all
Caleb didn't do his research and his bags he had to haul
So he went to San Diego but got stuck in Mexico
The line across the border was so torturously slow
He spent 20 on a Greyhound that he thought would save him time
but Caleb didn't do his research and had dropped him at the line
He underguessed a walk and lost a race to Kalkidan
He got lots of angry comments when he got the school's name wrong
He didn't know CapeFlyer riders could sit in first class
But this wasn't indicated so we'll give this one a pass
Schedules in Morocco seem to put him in a daze
Spain had bustitution so he missed the TGV
He went down to the airport way too late in Marrakesh
It took one whole year of Patreon to get his funds refreshed
The driver went right past him when he went to the bus stop
It wasn't the correct one he had walked an extra block
Caleb hadn't done his research and he just ran out of luck
The next bus was in twelve hours and now poor Caleb was stuck
When it comes to transportation Caleb's ready to get cracking
But for factual information, he is sometimes rather lacking
He waltzes to the station and hopes things go for the best
Caleb didn't do his research and I think you know the rest
(Oh that can't be good)
(Hold up!)
(Thank you!)
(Well, we're off to a great start aren't we?)
Now he's researched canceled stations, private cars, and light rail lines,
understands the Amtrak Rail Pass and the old Pittsburgh inclines,
He even studies transit for his doctorate degree
Caleb didn't do his research still fills the audience with glee
So the moral of the story for my friends across the nation, is
Do not be afraid to do some light self deprecation
Now Caleb's got a slogan he could put on all his merch
But next time you're riding transit make sure you do your research
Correction: Caleb didn't do his research still fills the audience with glee
Also: do not be afraid to do some light self deprecation
Still, I admire your dedication!
