  • Ok super sorry this video is late but it been a crazy 3 weeks!
Everything from chip reader issues to new version of my editing software having problems with proxy’s, and then a few editing jobs that need to be completed $$. And lots of family stuff that being wrapped up now..
Then there is also I did not want to just rush a video out the door.
I think I rather have a bit of quality and a little bit more info than having a video on time.
That is one of the things I am working on.. the other thing I am trying to do is cut my intro because in the RUclips world if something does not happen in the first 20 seconds people click off.. but I just have a lot to say…
Knowing that I just have a lot of things to talk about why I do certain things or my opinion on something.
A example it couplers oldhams seem good but I think I would prefer a motor with a z rod shaft.
People what if you bend it or what if it comes bent you wasted your money..
First have you ever tried to bend a z rod? I am not that strong. Buying from a reputable brand solves the issue of it coming bent. If does return it. Look at Prusa printers over 100,000 printers with no coupler just motor with z shaft.. also this is the first time in over 8 years I have wheels to adjust leveling in a printer.. eventually I may take em out.
Anyway the z axis there are no real build manuals for 2 motor version of a vzbot.
But it is really pretty simple I figure out how to get everything centered.
The single motor version requires you to get a special loop belt to be able to use a single motor I have only seen it on AliExpress which takes a bit longer for delivery.
I do have one but I want to try to keep the build as close to a stock tronxy as much as possible to keep cost down. I only want to spend money when I think it is necessary.
And I might test it out in the future depending how everything works.
I really want to do some fun videos but I need to finish this series off.
There are few type of coupler I am just going with what’s in the kit for now trying to keep cost down if there are issues later on it can be addressed.
I had printed my parts awhile ago before the the additional of the smooth rod 524 stl were added. Naturally if you decide to order the 10mm or 12mm rods you will get them in 500mm lengths not 524.
    But my fix was simple..
There are a lot of duplicate versions with variations of the same parts in the GitHub so be careful which parts you pick.. and count 4 bottoms 4 closing parts 4 tops 4 closing parts Etc. It will get trick with the print head.
ok next video will be gantry motors belts and print head.
Thank for watching and don’t forget to subscribe!

    Upper z rod mount github.com/VzB...
    Lower z rods mounds github.com/VzB...
Remember you need 4 of what ever you pick.

If you are using endstops for z then you will need this
