I feel like this is Ben Brode trying to troll us. I can just see him saying this and then sitting back and laughing evily as we try and figure out if this is possible.

This never happened. There aren't good priest decks, and this deck that kripp made would be t2/3 at best.
Or, maybe the blizzard designers are no where near as good as the players that play at top levels, so the priest deck that did well in their testing never surfaced in tournaments and on ladder because it was kind of bad against what the meta eventually formulated into.
+Razenoid Arcanoth Teir 2 and 3 decks are good, tier 1 is great.
If the blizzard designers were that good, they would be competing in the Hearthstone tournaments. There's no rule that says they can't.
I don't think there is a really good "unicorn" priest deck and brode just said that to make people play priest again (and to pretend that there is no problem to fix and he did a great job)
That's why I think he'll get good in the next expansion.
Or maybe people need to learn how to read and realize that he said there "might" be a priest deck people haven't discovered yet

The implication is still the issue. Priest right now is about as useless as Shaman used to be. But we know the way Blizzard works. If something is OP and broken as fuck, they'll nerf it into the ground. If something is useless, then they'll either make it OP next update, or nerf everything else.
Yea. maybe it won't be top tier, but there might be a Dragon Priest deck that runs some funky stuff we havnt thought of yet

I think most of his fans already know he is around the tournament level of play if he really wanted to dedicate the time. He has stated multiple times that he just doesn't want to practice the same 1-2 decks for hours on end just to have a shot at winning a tournament.

Too few minions have 2 or less attack for it to be valuable. However, the Murloc board clear is definitely missing.

kripp the tundra rhino had taunt because of the houndmaster effect. the stat buff doesn't carry over but the effect buff does.

that is def a bug, when a card goes back to its deck its just the same card
I'm almost certain it was a visual glitch. I've had this happen to be several times; a card appares to have tuant but actaully doesn't. I even allowed my oppnent the chance to win the game by hitting my face to confirm this. I added him after the game and according to him it didn't appare to have tuant on his end, meaning the glitch is likely client side.
Why Malygos instead of Ysera? Malygos' actual effect is dead most of the time in this deck and Ysera gets some burst clearing or value almost all the time.

You need burst to kill your opponent in some matchups
I've noticed Kripp seems to really like situational combos in his decks, things that rarely happen but leave open the option for shenanigans once every so often. Plus Malygos has that intimidation factor that few other dragons can really match (A druid or shaman playing Onyxia comes to mind as similarly terrifying), which can incite some bad plays from an opponent frantically trying to remove it. That said you're probably right, Ysera does seem like the generally stronger option as is often the case.
+The Message's Movies Maly had his place in this deck but Ysera has that about him as well because the dream cards are so terrifying leaving Ysera up for more than two turns often means you lost the game when Maly and Onyx can't be left for more then 1

Deck is pretty good, super good job kripp!
I played against this list (or one with 1-2 card difference) last night at rank 11. I was playing C'Thun Warrior. Priest got beat without much trouble. A lot of passing turns for both players, but in the end some of the few midrange minions I had forced inefficient removal from the priest and left him without much in the way of answers for a well-timed Emperor, Brann, Veklor and C'Thun.

So? according to Blizzard all you need to have a competitive Priest decks is having a bunch of legendaries and pray for the best...seems legit.

He means more like, Blizz is telling you to buy cards to get the legendaries needed to be able to play Priest ;-))

i miss the good old days of secret pally when priest was top tier and cheap tbh
Still...is not a solution to the class...i mean right now even Control Priest is kind of garbage, compared to Control Warrior which it has the same concept but is a much more reliable, hell i dare to say that even Control Paladin or N'Zoth Paladin is a better control deck than Priest (ironically, Control Warrior and N´zoth Paladin lose against Priest), so yeah i don't think there is a hidden gem like Blizzard says when it comes to current Priest.
We all know Priest has never been cheap nor top tier...but again, Control Warrior does a much better job than any Control Priest version, also Warrior has so many options right now while Priest is still struggling to be Control.

What you say about healing/armor made me think of something: A "overheal" effect that heals your most damaged minion for the amount of exedent heal on your character (or maybe half the amount, rounded to superior?).

Sadly there are many decks where you would barely even see a minion with 1 or 2 attack. The spell, just sucks unfortunately.

ive been playing a deathrattle priest and have been having some solid success with it. nothing too outstanding but still better than basic cthun control types
This is one of the coolest decks I have ever seen ... Ok my Beast/C'thun/Something druid was pretty cool, too. But how N'zoth works with deathwing and malygos for the greatest temposwing ever. Like it!
So, why do we see you tomorrow in the first video, but see you in a little bit in the second video?

@Kripparrian Amazing content as always. Been trying the priest deck and I have to say it's....pretttttyyyyy goood. Though since Holy Nova is a little weaker mid-game I cut it to one and put in Elise as another possible win condition when all the combo pieces have been eaten up.
I think I tried this fad of making new priest decks before a lot of others lol. Made a video of it too. Nice to know that I wasn't the only one who couldn't use priest.

i do apreacite the fact thaat kripp doesnt just put out gameplay, like he sits down and gives as much context and detail to what he's doing, even if half his viewers (including me in some videos) just skipp it.
Very interesting. I actually came up with a similar deck, but I was playing yogg instead of the dragons. The AOE priest is indeed a very flexible and consistant priest, it worth giving it a try :)

Priest is so effin' obnoxious. It's like it's just there to suck against most of the matchups and absolutely rek some decks a very few amount of times, but at those times they make the opponent wanna commit suicide. It's like it's just in the game to be annoying, like Teemo in LoL.

+ 2 "deal 2 dmg" spells for 1 mana. (to combo with pyro and malygos)
I think the overheal idea is pretty interesting. Still start at 30 life but you can heal up to 35 or something. Lets you hero power on turn two, if nothing else.
That Deathwing into Malygos is kinda sweet combo... at least in theory.
dragon priest Imo does fine, great early game counters and curve, really hard hitting late game dragons... I could spam it up till about rank 6-5 without too much trouble... C'thun seems to be pretty meta right now though

Would Velen's be better to use than malygos? It's double for all spells and hero power as well so it's more versatile I think like to use first embrace than flash heal. But you do lose the synergy with deathwing and I would think deathwings deathrattle would get countered easily.

I personally really enjoy and get by pretty good with heal/yogg priest
I guess it would be some kind of fatigue c'thun priest... it gives some good early game and priest is made for control.
I think a lot of the problem is that Velen's Chosen and Deathlord is gone. The entire point of Priest is "get a big minion out that can trade for the board as you keep it alive into the mid and late game." Before Standard, Priest could do that by playing a Gilbin Stalker (2/3 stealth) or Wyrmrest Agent. Throw Velen's on it and suddenly you have a 4/7 or a 4/8 with Taunt. Or just our friend Deathlord for getting that out and dominating the early board with just one minion. Get into the mid game, Auchenai-Circle or Excavated Evil.
With Silences essentially out of the game (I think Reno Lock is the only one that runs any kind of silence), buffs have been given a huge buff. But instead of Priests getting a strong replacement for Velen's, they got an easy contender for the second worst buff in the game.
And here is the sad part: Priests being weak until next year is actually better for newer players. If Priests get some kind of card in the next Adventure that helps them out significantly, it means the barrier for new players to *fix an entire class* is a lot higher...
I don't blame Brode for doing the "their might be a Priest deck out there" thing though. Because, when everyone thought that Shaman was terrible before LoE, he said the same thing about Shaman. And Face Shaman was found. Yes, it got a huge buff in LoE with Tunnel Trog and again with Flamewreathed but Brode wasn't too far off. This time though? Yeah, Priest doesn't have the means to deal with so many different types of deck. They can make themselves good against one type of deck but then they are completely slaughtered against decks that aren't that type.

I think that Ben Brode was talking about a whole new archetype with priest. Keep in mind, there are still A LOT of cards that people either don't play or haven't found a place for yet. Sooner or later, someone will stumble upon some combo of cards that is super strong and will build a new meta game deck. I don't for one second believe that out of all the devs on the Hearthstone team, someone hasn't designed cards with other cards in mind to build decks around. You know that these people spend hours upon hours playing with new cards, trying to find ways to exploit them before we even know about them. Kripp this is a great decklist but I think maybe Brode had something completely different in mind :)

One bug happened to me when I played ragnaros (fire lord), he had stealth...
Anyone know what the chance of getting a legendary in the Old Gods packs are? I got 3 legendarys when I bought 15 packs last week.
I made this deck without all the legendaries, still worked because of all the zoolock's conceding. They didn't know i had no win condition :3
where the hell did that taunt come from? because it had taunt when it was entombed? I didn't think it worked like that

So you entombed the Tundra Rhino after it had been buffed by Houndmaster... and the taunt buff transferred to your copy? Seems like a bug to me.
Houndmaster gave that Tundra Rhino taunt. It's weird that he kept it when he got it entombed.
no shadow word horror board clear for zoolock. no idea if it's really any good at all, but the deck doesn't include all the board clears in standard as Kripp stated, nor is there a corrupted seer ;P
What if Shadow Ward cards could be effected by spell power and just increases the threshold by 1?
I would love to see some new minions that can increase your maximum health.
What about a priest card that is a minion that has "battlecry: Increase hero's maximum health by 10" or something similar?

I was spamming combo priest in chat when he asked what he should make. This wasn't what I had in mind but it was pretty sweet. He was 7 games in a row I believe.

lol. In the opening video he talks about how he might add in Elise, but doesn't so to keep the deck original.....and the first clip we see he not only has Elise in there (even tho it isn't in the decklist on the right) and he WINS because of Elise.
You do realize that he entombed the card right.... Entomb puts the card that is targeted into your deck and removes it from the board.
How did you get so much knowledge of the game? And do you have any tips for new players?
You have 2 Shades I think 1 could come out for Elise. The shade's ability has a chance of being dead just like Elise's.
To make priest more like warrior. it would be cool if a priest card added health to your heroes maximum (but it doesn't affect the heroes current health)
