Omg the shoe funeral had me dying😂 Fingers crossed for the medication to be good for you this time! I’m also insulin resistant and taking metformin - definitely take it with food!🤞❤️
I am a massive Swiftie and have been since about 2007 and I absolutely LOVE seeing people go to her concert and having the best time. Thank you so much for sharing clips of her concert with us, I legit cried while watching the concert part of this vlog and the Vegas vlog. I couldn't get tickets and I cried for days about it but seeing everyone else enjoy the tour so far makes me so happy!
I really appreciate how open you are about your PCOS journey. As someone who also has it, it makes me feel less alone and less scared about doctors appointments! 😭❤️❤️❤️
I got diagnosed with PCOS and Insulin Resistance back in January and got put on metformin. It has helped me tremendously, the first month was rough just because it’s trying to flush everything out and get your body balanced but after the first month I have noticed a big difference in how I feel over all. Definitely would recommend! And definitely take with food. Thanks for sharing your journey with everyone!
Steph is just the best person ever! Made me so happy that momma got pampered and had her makeup done. Alisha was so cute at the concert! I died at the shoe funeral🤣🤣
hi remi - i love the disclaimer about your doctor. i work for a nonprofit focusing with diabetics and those who are insulin resistant. taking metformin with food is a MUST. even taking it with a boost or ensure meal replacement drink. i love how open you are about this. don’t be afraid to reach out to a dietician!!
@@Marianne475 it’s not about enhancing the effect of the drug but taking care of your stomach and preventing long term GI issues. metformin is rough on the stomach so taking with food helps prevent tummy aches, diarrhea, GERD, etc
agreed! i did an internship at a diabetes clinic in pharmacy school and frequently counseled patients about this. pharmacists are another great accessible resource for all things related to medications, how to manage side effects, etc! :)
You sharing your journey with PCOS triggered me to advocate for myself after several years of irregular periods. My previous doctor just prescribed birth control and said that was enough. But my new doctor has really been great and I have also learned to speak up for myself.
I was just recently diagnosed with insulin resistant PCOS too and I also had a indepth convo with my doctor. I'm in my health Enneagram 5 and I've been researching and saving lots of recipes. This is week 3 of my journey and I find myself enjoying all the new foods and feeling so good.
hey remi!! i've been diagnosed with insulin resistant PCOS and have been taking metformin since last year. my doctor told me was to always take it 10-15 minutes before or after meals. so food is definitely a must!!
Remi I'm a doctor and I'm just so happy and proud of you for sharing your journey! There is so much misinformation out there about PCOS and teaching people to trust their doctor and their body is so important! You really are making a difference ❤
I never usually comment on videos but just wanted to say that I´m so happy for all your accomplishments lately! I really hope the new meds help you out cause I know from personal experience that changing and trying new meds can be challenging. Sending lots of love!
yessssss i was waiting for this vlog after the last one and alisha's!!!! so glad you had an absolute blast in vegas❤❤ it really is your travel girl era rn!!! miss remi travel vlogger😍😍 love your vlogs always rem
I take metformin for my incilin resistance and it works wonders I don't have any issues with it. Also love your volgs and you and alisha. I also can't take birth control because I have severe problems with everyone I've tried so I hope it helps you. You got this remi!!!!!!
Remi! How are you? I am so happy for you!!!! How is Hawaii? I dream of going there with my family one day and love when visit. I have never been to Vegas either and looks like so much fun! The concert looked like so much fun and trips with the bestie are the best!!!! 💙
I have PCOS and insulin resistance as well. And yes metformin Must be taken with food, also my doctor advised to increase the dosage slowly over time and not all at once. Gives less side effects. Good luck on the medication.
I’ve been on Metformin for about 7 years and yes, taking it with meals helps a lot so you’re not feeling sick. Also, for insulin resistance, I’ve started taking Ovasitol for my PCOS (but my husband and I are trying to have kids and it helps with fertility and ovulation…just a heads up with that!!!)
I have been on a very high dose of metformin for the last couple of years because I am a type two diabetic and if it is making you nauseous, I would suggest getting the extended release instead of the quick release! It was night and day for me.
Remi!! Metformin tip - ask for extended release!!!!!!!!! (I am on it for T1D and have been for years) I was violently nauseous on normal metformin for months and then when they switched me to extended I had 0 nausea at all!!!
As far as your metformin goes I too also have insulation resistant pcos and berberine has been extremely helpful for me. Could be something to talk to your doctor about?
To my epileptic besties who watch the Vlogs I found this iphone hack. I don’t know if it’s new to iPhone, but if you go to accessibility in your settings during the club part of the blog where there’s flashing lights, there is a thing in motion where you can reduce flashing lights if you’re epileptic or you just have sensitive eyes and I haven’t watched a video that had Strubing lights in it in a while and I forgot I had this enabled until the screen went black, but it dims the screen for you during videos with flashing lights!!!
I had a laugh attack of remi saying goodbye to the shoes and Alisha grabbing them and putting them on 😂😂😂😂😂
Lol Leslie!!! Same!!! When remi was like oh what’s that sound, you see Alisha, ohh😅 these.. lol 😂 😭😂😭😭😭
I literally laugh every single time 😅😂
