- This is a special behind the scenes look of our experience at New York Comic Con, where we announced the formation of our new comic book company, Ghost Machine. The super team of Jason Fabok, Gary Frank, Bryan Hitch, Geoff Johns, Lamont Magee, Brad Meltzer, Peter J. Tomasi, Maytal Zchut and myself are the creative make up of our new start up company.

Congrats! I saw some walk-thru of NYCC (actually several) and I guess it was Jason Fabok who said that he was part of this new company called Ghost machine with a bunch of other creators. And here it is! I don't really follow modern mainstream comics much, but it looks like it could be fun.

You continue to be one of the youtubers with the best visuals and also the worst sound.
Hahah yes audio is a struggle as I tend to pair down my gear so I can capture moments in the moment. Beleive me when I edit these I hate myself for not using external mics. But hey I'm really not a youtuber just a guy who enjoys playing with his camera :)

Stuff like this makes me bitter about living in Canada, nothing goes on here creatively and you have to work so hard to find people to launch anything artistically
I'm from Canada! But I hear you. There are larger clusters of creatives in bigger cities.
The justice league, Legion of Doom, Teen Titans, JSA. What they all have in common is that they got nothing on this crew.

I don't mean to be mean, but I just don't get it. What's the point of starting a new company just to do the same thing everyone else is doing? Does the world really need a bunch of more forgettable superheroes?
I get it. Typically, in the creator owned space, depending on your publishing deal, you own either a part or in whole the property you create. However, our structure is drastically unique in that we own all the characters and the company collectively. I don't just own what I create I own a part of everything we create. We fail and succeed together. As for the characters all we can do is try to make them as memorable as we can as we try to do with all our work. We all love comics and we've kinda done it all so why not try something new to keep things fresh for ourselves, and hopefully for others.
@@FrancisManapulArt Thanks for the answer. That's pretty much what I expected to hear when I clicked on the video, sort of the raison d'être for this company.
