I'd be willing to say that the Minfernal from pet battles in Felwood is still one of the rarest pets. That spawn timer meant I spent over 2 years looking for it until I finally had it.

You missed Eathreal Soul-Trader!!! Back when I got mine it cost more than my TCG Feldrake mount (I remember buying them around the same time in MoP )... By FAR the #1 coolest battle pet IMO.. It shoots purple lighting at EVERY mob you kill from 40+yards away!! Also the "Corrupted?" green Oozling that tints you & your mount green.. Perhaps they are now to OP rare to even mention?

Doing Ritual of Doom each day for the Hateful Eye and emissaries on 6 toons (so far). I want the Celestial Calf, but am having trouble justifying paying 1 million gold for it. Have the Ridgeback and Thaumaturgical Piglets so far, just waiting on my Transmutant. One pet that maybe should have made the list is Broot, obtainable only from Druid class hall. It's possibly more rare than the Hateful Eye since two different classes can farm that one, the difference being that you don't actually have to kill an elite to get a chance at it.

Are the Nexus Whelplings on a timer or something? There are none, ever. Are these set so you can't get them at 110? I know the Emerald Proto Whelplings are (on a timer).
Unless I completely lucked out...both the drudge ghoul and creeping tentacle have the best drop rates in 10 man normal lich King and 10 man Yogg with 4 keepers present.
You guys are both dumb. It says rare as: the least collected pets, no matter if these are easier to get, they were introduced recently so less people have these compared to older pets which other hard-farming people already have.

I refuse to pay that much money for the calf, and that damn blingtron has evaded me since I knew it was a thing, a guildie got it and showed me, where did you get that! Two you missed, as others mentioned that elusive Kirin tor familiar is a pita, and the archeology severed hand!!! I have arch on all my alts and hand in those crates for tol'vir pieces all the time and I have never had it drop. I have every tol'vir arch thing except this
You sure the Hateful Eye is rare? When I was farming the skins for the Destro Lock and Vengeance Hunter, the Eye dropped on my DH 7 times and the on my lock 6 times, seemed to have a high drop rate to me.
Murky from Blizzcon 2005 isn't on this list, only 8,000 codes exist and the few still for sale are going for $5,000. I guess when this video was made he wasn't a combat pet but in 2019 he is now.

I just wanted to mention a battle pet that I recently acquired that is ultra-rare and I think should be in the #1 spot if you make a new list. The pet I'm talking about is "Young Venomfang" www.wowhead.com/spell=233335/young-venomfang. The reason I believe it should be in the #1 spot as the most incredibly rare obtainable pet in WoW is because its a rare drop from "Damp Pet Supplies" which is rewarded from weekly pet battle challenge: Wailing Caverns. From what I understand, this is a weekly reward that can only be done once per week per account and cannot be farmed by 10 different toons weekly. There's several servers right now where there's only one of these Young Venomfang's on the AH and they are selling anywhere from 200k-400k.

I agree with him, Minfernal is way more difficult to get than, let's say, the horde fanatic and his alliance counterpart.
I was in fellwood last week leveling a new character and I ran across 20+ of them, I think they changed it.

I got the Albino Buzzard on my 5th try. I continue trying for another, so I can drop it on the AH. And it's a fun battle, so... there's that :D
I actually stopped dropping my blingtron 6k when the pet refused to drop after a month.
I was lucky and got the little Thistleleaf. Didn't know about the fact it mounts up tho. : D

while in a raid give this pet a magical pet biscuit and use Narcissa's Mirror. works best if you look like tauren before using mirror
