    Coming from an Organist/ Choir Director at my church, the Major has so much feeling for the piece of music in which is being played. His body language is not only showing pride in America but also he is conducting the band as well as the audience. I personally would like to thank him for all that he has done. What a wonderful arrangement!!!!!! This is the Home of the BRAVE!

    So who made the rule about "drum & bugle corps classification'? . . . . on a more somber note, I think this would be a good time to stand up and praise all young men and women who have given up their summers for the last ? ? how many years ? to march with a corps. Sadly not the case this summer, God bless our musicians ! ! !

    THANK YOU!!!! To the USMC Drum and BUGLE Corps for keeping the BUGLE in Drum & BUGLE Corps and not following DCI's lead of the new age of Drum and Band Instrument Corps. The unique sound of a hornline using G Bugles is what drew me, and so many others to DCI in the first place. BRING THAT SOUND BACK!

    • @kmabru
      @kmabru 4 года назад

      @@Marco-bf4uu This is a drum and bugle corps. They're using 2 valved G bugles. They've evolved over time from using true bugles to single piston, piston/rotary, 2 piston and lastly 3 piston G bugles. In Y2K, rules changes allowed the use of Bb brass instruments in traditional corps bell front, marching configuration. They're now allowing other brass instruments and synthesizers. A marching band would include woodwinds (flutes, piccolos, clarinets, saxophones) as well as brass and percussion.

      @@kmabru USA is weird then why do you always need to do it differently all over the world an drum and bugles is an signal corps.

    • @kmabru
      @kmabru 4 года назад

      @@Marco-bf4uu Nothing weird about it. Not sure where you're getting your information from. I suggest you do a little research on modern drum and bugle corps. What you've described sounds more like the old battlefield units from the 1800's and earlier.
      This style of drum and bugle corps is found around the world. In the US, it has it's roots in VFW halls, scouts, churches and the American Legion. Ever hear of DCE? It stands for Drum Corps Europe. They use a similar drums/brass configuration (and includes a number of corps from Germany). I'm not sure if they're using G bugles or Bb instruments. There's also Drum Corps United Kingdom and Drum Corps Asia. So it's not just confined to the USA.
