I can't do the original but absolutely love the Flankers especially the eau croisiere 2019 with the mango note. I did, however, work with someone who wore angel and it smelled great on her.

This is a full on scrubber only problem you can’t get it completely off. I do keep trying just to see if the notes come through but they never do. It’s definitely a cluster fuck in a bad way. Love the Mortal Combat comparison 😆
Angel is a deeply complex fragrance that needs time to fully appreciate. I love Angel, but sometimes she's too much even for me. So for the days when I want something less challenging I go for La Vie Est Belle, one of her many "cousins" in the gourmand family. But there's no La Vie, Lolita Lempicka or Flowerbomb without her, so from time to time, I will always come back to the mother of all gourmands that is Angel 😊😊
I tried Alien the other day, the opening was too strong for me but honestly the dry down was kind of nice, and lasted long. It was a bit too peppery in the end though for me to purchase
I've noticed with angel,people either really love it or just really hate it. I've experienced so many people loving or hating it in my lifetime. I happen to loooooove it. I've loved it since I was at least 20 lol. I will say with angel though,I actually found out very recently that it's been completely reformulated,it's more sharp,more patchouli, and less sweet than the original formula. I'm completely gutted because this fragrance is so special to me. Now it will be almost impossible to get my Hands on an original. But anyway,if you don't enjoy something than that's perfectly fine,we all have different taste and preferences. I've seen people adore fragrances and I've never understood the hype. Like Prada candy, si by gerorgeio Armani ,Chloe. Etc. I Never understood why they were so popular,they are all very basic and bland to me.

They must have reformulated?? I swear it smelled sooo good on my friend and her mom in 2003/2004. I tried it in Sephora today and it smelled like cat piss!! Horrible
Omg last week I smelled the original Angel. I bought a bunch of fragrance samples and I was excited to try Angel first. I just showered. I had my back towards my husband, sprayed it three times & immediately scrunched my nose. My husband turned to me and said “wtf was that?” 😂 He and I has NEVER reacted to a fragrance like that before. I had to reshower. It’s WAY too strong and that says something coming from me bc I like loud scents 😆 I just don’t get the hype!
To my subjective nose, as Angel dries down on my skin, I smell honey which then turns into the sharp scent I associate with a zoo (animal pee?). After a couple of hours, that zoo smell disappears and I'm left with an OK and long lasting scent. But I'm not willing to torture myself for a couple of hours for a perfume, so I agree with you on this one..
I like Alien and Aura from Mugler, but I’m not a fan of Angel or Angel Muse. I'm and old Gen-X (literally...born in 1965, so the first year of the generation that wasn’t definitive enough to move past its temporary moniker).
I'm not personally a huge fan of Polo green or blue. However the Polo red, Red intense, and Ralph's club, With the red intense and Ralph's club being my favorite. It's not that I don't like green or blue per say, but to me they just smell way to vintage.
I noticed that the angel that you have in your hand is a flanker. It’s from 2020. Are you talking about the original? Because if so you’re right it smells horrible. But the one you have in your hand has a fig note, and also the Patchouli is tamed down! Granted it is not my favorite, but I did buy it to have it in the collection
