Splitting the Navy tech tree was a mistake in my opinion...

no because some people dont care about coastal and some people dont care about blue water, its the best thing that happenned to the game mode and same thing should happen to jets and cold war tanks
@AntChristy You could just play one or the other before too. Now with the split tech trees, you have boats that cost 320,000RP and still get shit on by destroyers that cost 32,000RP. And they could simply limit the BRs of aircraft in the games if that was an issue.
@AntChristythey’d probably sit at the same BR, if anything they could have gotten away with making the lines vertical like they have done now and keeping all the vehicles in one tree.
I actually like that you can use both PT boats and battleships in a battle like that. Otherwise thee whole Coastal tech tree becomes obsolete. And yes, I had battles where I only capped with a PT boat and singlehandedly won the match. You have plenty of opportunities to play big boy ships in the encounter mathes or the "big circle in the middle of the sea" maps.

The PT Boat cap strategy is the only way I got to unlcok the Newsport and the HMS Renown
It's very effective specially when EVERYONE in the match is a bot/cheating account
Well, not enough players are going to make enough of a noise for Gaijin to care.
There's more shit-eaters happy eating shit than players who'll just walk away. It took a massive boycott, a drop of 20-25% daily logins for Gaijin to actually start putting forward fixes in Ground and Air battles. There's not enough players to even fill a Naval battle in a timely manner.

I’ve been waiting almost two months for them to transfer my console account to PC and I don’t think they will ever do it at this point, it is so frustrating I want to walk away but I keep playing. It sucks idk how to get gaijin’s support for this

This gives me enough information about this youtuber. As a French Naval player, it is painfully obvious that you haven't inspected the modifications of Primauguet, Colbert and Emile Bertin and the Premium Dupleix.
While i understand your argument about the PT Boats being able to cap to win. The thing is barely anyone spawns PT Boats at 5.0+ with Destroyers and Hydro's being the main A/B Cappers and Hydros being the main early game C cappers

This vehicle is the predorder vehicle for the upcoming tech tree, they did the same with plenty of tech trees before, it's not a surprise.
Would i have liked if both french naval trees came at the same time, yes, but i won't complain since they didn't even want to had french naval at first because of a lavo of coastal boats

I’ve tried to play naval so many time but it is so boring. Plus, playing 6.0 is a joke, you face battleships you can’t hope to penetrate even with you best AP rounds. While they can just click on you and either 1 shot you or disable 50% of your ship in one salvo.
The only thing that would make me join naval would be modern ships, but at that point it would be even worse.
Im at the Paris at 6.3, France is usable but it sucks sitting helpless with no boats as all the German mains on your team want to Island camp or charge the enemy spawn in a Sharnhorst or something to spawn kill. It is so frustrating.
As one by one a single US PT boat flips A, then B, then C...
30 bucks to fix this? Really?

Is it just me or did they nerf RP earnings massively, especially when losing a game?

Hm it's a bit odd it gets model 1919V as I've read those were for interwar destroyers, Anyway this thing is rather over BR'ed for what it brings to the table, but I've seen quite a few of them in matches.
Also it's a tad dodgy how they made the FAFL flag a pre order bonus, that'll piss off a few players.
The most annoying thing for me are the spawns more than anything…
i feel one of the major changes they should do to at least the grinding aspect is what they did with helis where you can swap over the rp from ground to grind out the helicopters. as wilst it would be nice to use pt boats in higher tier bluewater using one doesnt benifit your grinding in bluewater. if there was a toggle so say all rp from the pt boat goes to bluewater or even the other way around it would make the grind so much nicer expecally if they start putting in more modern stuff like missile frigates which would have to be higher br to stop the curb stomping as well as subs i highly espect they will go in the costal tree
if you actually played through the entire french TT you'd know that like 2-3 ships have catapult fighters, making it possible to contest points xd

Also... you can contest points in a vessel as well. And there are other players, no need to do every single thing yourself.
Honestly: I never had a problem winning games when grinding the French Tree.

But he's one of those content creators that got bizarre "hot takes" sprinkled among his videos that make me question whether we even play the same game with the same mechanics. Or maybe he's just rage-biting? No idea... but over and over again I hear him utter the words that make zero sense.
This is ridiculous. 1 of the main reasons naval is so bad is because so many start with blue water so they barely know what's going on or how to participate. even if this was tossed out for free as a reserve the French costal seed (as that's what it is it has no branches) would be terrible. they need at least 10. they need 5 research and 5 buyable options. If you pick the French it's best to stay out of naval completely as its not ready for players. If something like this happened to the german tech tree I would be very upset.

Starting with bluewater is a way to go.
Skills from coastal do not translate to bluewater.
Playing french is fine. It's ready, plays great. Their destroyers are legit good, light cruisers are amazing, but battleships suffer. Still... it's really enjoyable overall - it's nothing like Italian tree.
@@SkywalkerWroc Italian tree isnt bad. Just their first tier SUCKS, and grinding trough anything takes ages due to amount of ships you dont even want or need.
@@SkywalkerWroc They literally have no coastal without coastal you cannot take points. the whole video was about it. It's the least you could have gathered from it. Yes, it does just like playing all roles before mastering a single unit. You understand what they are best at and what cover works in your or their favor. You will be facing them. they will cause an auto win as they will control the points and you won't be able to claim them.
Only 2 solutions to this. Either remake whole Naval battles to make them more like old operations of Midway or IwoJima with a shitton of actions with bots landing on islands OR make permanent EC with same additions and places where these boats can do stuff.
And usually if I go EC I met a premade team that finish off any single thread to them with rushing battleships/cruisers that makes it even harder to stop their steam rolling. I decided to cut 95% of my Suffer Thunder gameplay.

Tried a 2.3 game today 13 minute wait for a match died 20's into the match to a cold war "boat" then watched a boat dunk on every singe aircraft with Strela's don't know what someone in an prop plane is supposed to do against SAM's shrugs.....
Strella is IR missile with shit handling. "Just dodge" is a legitimate strategy so long as you notice the launch, or you can kill your engine. The Tartars on the USS Douglass and Neptunes on the Italian on the other hand are beam riders. Can still dodge them (even in big ass destroyers), but since they are player aimed cant really jam em
This is very annoying. No costal unless you pay. I'll still play French though. The tree is easy to finish.
Pretty sure my french destroyers can outrun that. If not, then I'll play my schnellboote

I'm sure you know this but I wouldn't recommend doing shorts, because they can kill a channel that does primarly longer/medium form content. Shorts can inflate subscriber numbers while not actually raising your longer/medium video views which will send your channel to a deathspiral. Just a heads up.
The simple design of how capping works in naval is broken down No one has worked out a better way to make all viable in a sensible clearly understandable way so all possible players can be mixed in the same map To solve this we would need to design a mechanism that works and campaign first a year and wait a year for implementation

Right there is my uptier game style! Do I want to go against BB with my 5.7 CL? HELL NO! I just spawn in the most OP PT boat I have (like the Pr.206, Saetta, Grey Fox, PT-811) decimate anything weaker boat than me that i meet, and just outcap the game, and dump torps to the enemy mob/spawn just in case.
I no longer use boats like the Peacock class, M-17, M-802, Albatros (IT), simply because i boycott to use those since their BR nerf! 4.0s never get downtiers and the OP BR for coastal boats is just a next up, on 4.3. So thx for ruining those boats GAYjin.
Also still waiting for the submarines!

So far it is okay and like all coastal vessels needs you to be careful around destroyers I doubt you would win many confrontations against SKR for instance either.
