Cossacks 3 is a real-time strategy video game for Microsoft Windows made by the Ukrainian developer GSC Game World. The game is a remake of the 2001 game Cossacks: European Wars and is once again set in 17th and 18th century Europe.

if you play switzerland, you should always make jagers in the 18th century barracks
Yeah they are absolute beasts! My issue with them though is that they cannot fight melee so a bunch of hussars could swarm them... How do you plan that strategically? curassiers/hussars or what would you do?
@@theweirdbubble you just need something to stop the hussars for a lil bit, either pikemen or either of the mele Calvary, you should usually make dragoons and some hussars anyway

The flip side is that Jaegers train very, *very* slowly, meaning it takes way longer to build a good army with them. This creates a large window in the early 18th century for a country using faster-training Musketeers (like 18c. Musketeers) to strike a Swiss player before they've reached a critical mass of Jaegers. In faster-paced games like that, or if your enemies are rocking strong forces of fast cavalry and have good micro, you should probably just stick to 18c. Musketeers who can be made combat-ready much faster.
Basically, the Jaeger is a high risk, high reward sort of unit: They're slow to amass and require careful positioning so you don't lose them to a cannon volley or Hussar charge but in the right situation, they can be very strong. This also applies to similar units like French Chasseurs and Austrian Pandurs.
(Of course, there's also something to be said for just using whatever unit you think is cool regardless of how "optimal" it is, which is honestly a position I can fully get behind.)
@@theweirdbubblei would do some 18th picks with full upgrades, this will be effective. However, not doing jagers is a mistake. They have the longest range in this game.

A good tip is to first max out the upgrades of range units (musketeers, dragoons etc) from the barracks and then from the academy, because the academy upgrades are a percentage
Thank you for the tip! Will the percentage only apply to the current level or will it keep applying throughout all the barrack/stable upgrades? Just that the Barrack or Stable upgrades becomes quite expensive quite quick ;)
@@theweirdbubble it applies for each lol but only for the attack upgrade of units with gunpowder. So e.g, if you have only done the first upgrade which gives the musketeers a total attack of let's say 10 , then if you do the raise fire power from the academy( +10%), then the units ranged attack will be 11, but if you already have a lvl 5 attack from the barracks, the base attack stat is higher already so plus 10 % from the academy really makes a difference.

Hey buddy! I can try with the few things I know 🙂 there are many things I generally miss and there are much more experienced C3-players out there than myself 😅
Just saw this, i have alot of tips but I think the thing that bothered me the most was your "camera"
Not sure what you think but if you go to settings and press "enable free camera" or something like that you can zoom in and out much more, gives you a better field of view👍 keep grinding and hit me up if u wanna play sometime

@@theweirdbubble ja men det är ju såklart en smaksak, tycker du det är bra att köra sådär så ska du inte ändra på det:) det blir väldigt mycket mindre scrollande fram och tillbaka och det blir lättare att se hur andra rör sig när man ska fightas osv..
Jag kör nästan bara 0pt5k nu för tiden men jag har kört ganska mycket 30pt med army of peasants också, de flesta nu för tiden kör ju utan marknad och diplomatic Center men det hatar jag😅
@@JLindgrens vaaa men scrollande som är såååå roligt 😂😂 0pt5k kan absolut va roligt men det är så himla märkbart om man spelar med mindre erfarna spelare. Tycker inte det finns något särskilt bra upplägg för att balansera lagen utan det kan verkligen bli HELT skit 😅

Howdy! You can limit maximum amounts before starting a game but without limit you can basically have as many as you can build population space for :) This is a lot easier if there are many players with different civilizations so that you can capture their peasants and get barracks, dwellings and town halls much cheaper since their prices increase with each building constructed.
