You're so right, I've got dozens of razors I'll never use ! But I've put lots of time into them ,so hard to part with . I do like Big wedges , they have the reputation of giving the best results ,but as you say , no give , ( I find little wedges very difficult to use , no feedback at all .) I imagine your recent coticule added the smoothness to the shave . Love to try that SV Soap ? It's all about the afterfeel for me !

Heavy grinds just fall through thick stubble very well, i agree 👍
I was also surprised that it did not sell quicker. Honestly, I was temped to buy it a couple of times as the price was good. Cheers!

Its the same method on the Coti i use, just as you told me. Works good. I come off a 6k shapton glass hr.
I've not tried 6k but at one tie I went from 1k and it was fine
