I just returned from a trip to Shinjuku last week, and came across this video a couple days ago. We work differently, as I only took my Polaroid I-2 and a bunch of film packs, mostly B&W. (I intentionally left my dSLR at home.) And I worked mostly in the day. But we both did work at the Golden Gai and the same shrine, which was cool to see how different our approaches, and the photographs, are. Very cool video which I’ve shared. I can’t wait to return to Japan!
I'm always so torn to if I should bring my DSLR or not. I brought it last time but didn't the first time I went to Japan. Going this year and both experiences were great
My brother, you deserve way more love and attention! I think you can change a lot of people’s perspectives with your photography. May you read this as a motivational comment to keep on going because you have my support :)
@@D.Daniel564 gotta try that one next on the Mamiya 7, although f4 might be a bit slow 🫣. Likewise, looking forward to some more film photos of Tokyo and beyond 🎞️💯

Amazing shots like usual dude ! Thanks for sharing! Give us please some technics to judge the light / settings that you used in this kind of gorgeous scenes !
I stumbled across this channel and have watched all your videos now, i am truly captivated by the way you shoot and film as well, looking foward to another video, subscribing for sure!!
Thank you! Your comments give me the energy to create the next one. I'll continue to post videos regularly, so please come back sometime and leave a comment again! 🙏
I enjoyed watching this. Your video reminds me of a TV series I saw on Netflix called midnight diner; and I really enjoyed that series set in Tokyo. Thanks.
I am often reminded of the beauty of my country by watching videos and photos taken by travellers from outside the country. Looking at my own environment objectively is very difficult... so I try to get hints from other people's perspectives! :)
I really love your videos and hope that one day I can get a similar (but much cheaper) camera! (Maybe a Kiev 80 or a Salyut) I was wondering how you manage to record what you see through the viewfinder and if you could explain what you do thatd be great. Thanks :)
Your shots are amazing!! Thank you so much for sharing your photos and video! :) May I ask what your experience has been with the lomo 800 film, please? I'm nervous buying it since a number of people have said that the film has problems being spooled and that it's common to get light leaks on 2-3 exposures per roll? Thank you!!
Love the color grading on this video!
This video filmed in that ratio too....what a throwback to the old school documentary
I love this ratio too. I always wonder where this feeling comes from...
I know right. This nostalgia feeling!
Beautiful. Thank you for sharing
I’m a huge fan of shooting on film. The grain, the colors-it all comes together to give photos a soul and personality!
Congratulations on being featured on their socials man. Keep up the good work, love your videos!
Thank you! I will try to post a little more often! 💪🔥
I really appreciate hearing how and why you pick each shot.
Dude, I really like your videos!!! And I love those Japanese sceneries ❤
Outstanding

わあ! this video itself is art. so calming.
very nice work. The Lomography 800 works very well with the neon lights and abundance of colour in Japan
Thanks for the comment! The combination of night and Lomography is always great!
BTW you are running a great channel! Subscribed 👍

Thanks for your comment! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Great work man! Amazing channel! 🎉 Do you use a pro mist 1/4?
This is excellent and it's nice seeing my city in a different way through your viewfinder. Superb images.
NICE! how did you film and grade the video?
Nice country, good pics 👍🏻👍🏻

how do you make the bloom filter effect on video ?
I enjoyed watching this. Your video reminds me of a TV series I saw on Netflix called midnight diner; and I really enjoyed that series set in Tokyo. Thanks.
Love the vibe, just subscribed!
This is sooooo nice! How beautiful those photos are! May I know how do you meter the light?
Great video! I subscribed to see more
Beautiful work. I feel they needed to credit you. I had seen your photo on their socials. Would have found this video faster if they had done so 😂
crazy video im in love with this
i wonder if living in such a picturesque place gets old after some time ... or does that give u the mindset to then find interesting things to shot?

So inspiring!
Thank you so much! :)
hi how do you do the POV shot? do you use an iphone for the top down? and what mount do you use? thank you
Your scans are so rich with great dynamic range. Are you camera scanning with negative lab pro?
My scanner is a canoscan 9000f mark2! I then develop the film with Negative Lab Pro as you mentioned!
Do you normally prioritize your aperture over shutter speed to capture light ?
Beautiful photo session…what shutter speeds did you use the most?
I really love your videos and hope that one day I can get a similar (but much cheaper) camera! (Maybe a Kiev 80 or a Salyut) I was wondering how you manage to record what you see through the viewfinder and if you could explain what you do thatd be great. Thanks :)
I loved this video! Your work is amazing. Subscribed and followed on Instagram-thank you for sharing 😁
Thanks!! I'm hoping to post more often, so please come back to see what we're up to! :))
Great vid, this makes me want to go back to Tokyo again
I love this city too. You are always welcome to come back! :)))

Amazing
Thanks :))))
Underrated af ✌️
Hi, may I ask, what lens you are using?
Another awesome video. Beautiful city. What are you using to meter for the light?
I use an iphone app for exposure metering! I touch the darkest area to meter and shoot 1~1.5 stops brighter than the indicated exposure.
Thank you! 🙏🏾
