Ditto. I work in geographical survey and those altitudes are at ground level. But tbh, unless you've got a bench mark with precise MASL, then both of those could be off by about 5 meters..
Amazfit won for altitude test cos you should put the height of the wearers in consideration and you,ll realize it plays with the readings .look this watch is an amazing smart watch.its really good for patients and for just normal day life and is really resistant,just you don't go too far with it's cheap materials though.however the functionality is super awesome.i,m an owner of AMAZFIT T-REX PRO and i must say it's a great watch.It ain't got calls no speakers but is a great watch and a companion to check your health status, such as heart rates and stress conditions amongst others.

Blood oxygen and hart rate monitoring using optical sensors has a harder time the darker the skin is. So tattoos or naturally dark skinn will get less precise measurement. Would be fairer test if those were done on the same person or cross checked.
Loved my amazefit T Rex, ridiculous value and the 2 week battery life made my Apple watch seem ridiculous. Can't recommend them enough at the price point.
But how is it compare to watch at gym tracking ?kcalories and reps and staffs ?i have watch7 and huaweingt2 pro and apple counts x2 kcalories nu ebers compare to huawei ,so ?
I'm not an expert, but I think the amazfit Stratos or the stratos 3 has a similar function to what you say. The only detail is that they are models of the year 2018 and 2020 and out there it is difficult to find them

Garmins are absurdly expensive. A few years later after using, my two friends complaining about heart rate on forenuner 735 and battery and gps issues on fenix 3. So i used Suunto (vector, traverse, 9 baro) and finally casio gbd serie. Why do i make someone rich !. But actually, except basic gps suunto models, all the smart watches will break down in a few years later. So simple and cheaper is the best for me.
Ive had 2 Samsung's but battery life is pants, i now have 3 amaze fits, neo, Trex pro and the GTR3 pro, all excellent , the neo gives me 30 days life and is a really fun watch , Trex is my go to and the GTR is more of a dress watch
Watching a clip from a TV show like this makes me truly grateful for crowd-created platforms like RUclips. The difference between these two presenters and top tech RUclipsrs is striking. You can easily tell who is genuinely passionate about technology and who isn’t. In comparison, this type of TV show feels outdated and unprofessional.
T Rex looks amazing for the money. I've had a few Garmins but now I'm skint so looking at price a lot more. Seems just as good anyway perhaps the app isn't as good.
Their flagships of Amazfit are not really considered cheap, unless you get the Amazfit GTR 3 for $119 sale that I bought last week. $179 regularly is not cheap. Not everyone is rich to buy Garmin anyways. Like celebrities that just buy anything and everything.

You missed the point of the ice test. The drop did not kill the trex the temp. Did I had the trex 2 I did the ice test not that I got money to burn. But to see if the watch could still work it did not.
8:04 the lighter the skin and the less dark hair on the arm, the more accurate it measures the HR. They should have also done the same heart test after exchanging the watch with each other.
Others have tested freezing it in a big ice cube without issues. The drop is most probably what got it. Not to mention that a sample of one is not a very convincing experiment. A second attempt might have lead to the opposite result. Not exactly a controlled experiment.
i have amazfit trex 2 for overall daily use it's almost perfect especially the battery life but for hiking it's really disappointing...2 reasons for that is 1st it must be connect to my smartphone to update the temperature the watch itself didn't have any temperature censor, and 2nd because the altitude was not accurate always monitored 45 meters under the real data
The Garmin survived the drop test because it doesn't have a touch screen, and touch screen panel is more sensitive to shocks. Furthermore, the military grade standard states that the drop needs to be 1.5m not the 6m drop that women threw it from.

i owned a few samsung watches, Frontier and Active 2 among them. also owned Bip S and i was impressed by it. samsung watches life with gps is 12h. i would buy garmin, but its not touch screen, for me is a no go. considering a Trex pro.

Well done! Great in depth comparison! Would like to think the cost of the Garmin is worth its sturdiness, but I will not be using my watch in below freezing temperatures or dropping it off a high platform. ! 🙄
This review is useless for anyone interested in sports biometrics. I can connect garmin to virtually any sensors...from power meters on road bikes to gym equipment. I use my amazfit for work while garmin for sports.

It’s a great review as always but why a drop test in ice? No normal human being does that. I feel a normal drop test would suffice. Same height no ice and both would survive. I could throw my t-Rex off a multi story car park and it will still survive. Probably crack pavement like a Nokia lol.
Another thing the Trex may of been already dead before it hit the ground .Bet the cold flattened the battery .Be interesting to see if it come bag to life with a charge

Please add head to head next amazfit vs venix 7 . I know garmin are amazing but pricey for me...but if new amazfit not too far, i will consider amazfit. But if garmin still the best... i will safe too buy garmin

Biggest advantage for garmin Full time on screen. With amazefit trex visibility under tropical sun is not too good. And won't be able to see time without moving hand. Trex I have cause have no money for garmin

A lot of it is data security. Amazfit likely gives all your data to the chinese government. Garmin keeps it quite secure.

The blood oximeter on amazfit is pretty accurate. You need to stay still though and maybe that’s why ur readings were a tad off.

at fenix price, we could get t-rex as a family pack, my mum would always prefer the later.

Amazfit is an all arounder adventure watch suitable for sports and all everyday life. It definitely cannot match Garmin sensors
