- Why need to pruning? I pruning my mulberry because it grow larger and high. Pruning help to control mulberry tree size. Pruning mean we cut dead, broken, and highest branch. Result after pruning you will see in the video how mulberry produce fruit and faster ripe and big size fruit.

I wish there's an explanation. Why does pruning make it produce more fruits? Where should you make the cut? And should I do it regularly?

I studied more and found that it was my own mistake, i keep pruning side branches in first year and now it's so tall but have weak branches.

Hi anyone knows why my mulberry leaves keep crumpling? I'd cut off all the crumpled leaves and the new leaves in the new branch would look fine but then the smaller leaves at the tip would be crumpled.
What I did to my mulberry is I sprayed it with a mixture of water and a little amount of dishwashing liquid.
Is this morus nigra? I have 4 varieties of mulberry trees and one of them look exactly the same like this one but still not sure about the variety of this one.

Watch a video about 4x fruit mulberry.. In Flkrida or tropics, can trick them into repeated fruiting.
How do you keep it so small? I've heard that they grow over 30'.

Remove anything unhealthy or dead...Neem oil women use for female hygeine,I use neem oil all over when not fruiting,just to make sure stay healthy...High Potassium fertilizer,but I use Jobes Spikes....These are automatic if you squirt neem oil once in awhile on trunk...Anything dead,or catapillars,ants,just watch...Ecen if tree grows tall,you can lay tarp and they fall automatic...Every two hours I am going outside to fill buckets...Do not fret,just bad branches remove and try to avoid main big ones,only pinky sized and under.You will be ok,cannot go wrong with these...Perfect Crop!!!

@@debbi945 I am not an expert but I do take clippings and start new ones all season.
The Deer walk by and graze on them as well.
Anything works with them but cutting main trunk they bleed and during fruiting those big branches cut will leak the sap that feeds the fruiting cycle.
The smaller ends of branches you can but during fruiting the trunk is a pumping blood\Sapp machine ,and I would not mess with anything mature with pruning ..
It will pump like a Geyser spewing fluid if you cut anything bigger than finger sized branches..
It is Almost November and I have bunches growing in my windows that are almost three feet tall...
When I heavy prune,I like it to be when boring insects most active time is over.
Spring or Summer I try not to because picnic ants love the spewing sapp.
One tree I was forced to as a lightening struck tree fell upon one and was during fruiting.
What a mess of bleeding,they really bleed..
Anything Big and main you must prune,I'd wait until fall so still can compartmentalize (seal up) before winter.
But small shaping anytime won't hurt,as long as not mains or bigger than your middle finger...
