2. It's a mixture of the Bengals having dominant defense and the Seahawks not being good enough to convert. They couldn't convert in the redzone and. They went inside the redzone 5 times just to score 10 points.
3. If any of the 2 teams got lucky, it would be the Seahawks. The Seahawks defense isn't bad but they are not going to consistently hold the Bengals to under 25 points, let alone 20.

Why they skipped the jags?
This doesn’t surprise me, but the fact the 49rs seem to be almost pushing Purdy to play this week following a concussion is a sign of weakness. There is nothing tough about rushing back from a brain injury, it’s just dumb considering you are at higher risk of a repeat concussion. Shutting some players down mid season is the conservative move to make sure you are in the best shape for later, but obviously after 2 losses, there must be some sorta sense that a third would represent a total loss of momentum.

Andrew, don't overstate it. Garrett is very good, a generational talent and future hall of famer but Derrick Thomas (7 Sacks) alone had a greater game. There are others.

If you're going to have the Seahawks only one spot ahead of the Bengals, then you might as well have the Bengals ahead of them considering the Bengals just won their last game against the Seahawks SMH! Besides, the Bengals are only going to get better.
Bengals got seriously lucky in that game. Seattle outplayed them in nearly every aspect of the game. If Seattle had just kicked field goals in the redzone instead of going for it on 4th down they win the game. Seattle lost on questionable coaching decisions, not by the Bengals beating them.
The chiefs are just so overrated this season.

So the Bengals beat the Seahawks, but are ranked behind them. The Seahawks beat the Lions and are ranked way behind them. The lions haven’t won a meaningful game since week 1. I think some of these people make their ranking by throwing darts at a board.

I’m not saying that to be argumentative, it’s just that if we’re looking at the games to see who’s most likely to make the playoffs, then current record matters more. But if it’s about who’s the more powerful team (which I take to mean harder to beat) in the coming weekend, then I think it should focus on who’s beat who. I guess that’s the subjectivity of it, as far as how each person wants to compile their rankings.
