They didn't lie, they were protecting our feelings until they knew for sure it was definitely happening. They even said in all their interviews since getting back together that they had met to discuss it in January 2018 so it was always on the cards but they just had to make sure it was safe enough to announce it. Anyway, it's Westlife, they could say they actually saw God and I would believe them.
