Now 76, I remember being in ironworker apprentice night school. All the guys would meet after work at a local strip club near the school. Great cheap food, beer and nice ladies.
We mostly talked about the jobs we were working.
One night, the MC said that the scheduled dancer had a flat tire but an off-duty dancer offered to fill in. She was in street clothes and the whole place LOST IT'S MIND.
She was ... the girl next door, a real girl.
No fancy stripper clothes, no pretense. Interesting.

As an older guy (65) I find that dancers usually pay more attention to older guys. One reason is that typically older guys have more resources to play with i.e. we got more money. I usually tip $5's. Also, older guys usually don't think that they are going to "get lucky" with a stripper. Young, immature guys think "Oh yeah, she wants me!!" LOL! Lastly, older guys aren't going to become obsessed with a particular dancer. And older guys are comfortable in their own skin. At least, this has been my experience.
Sometimes they're right...although I watched an old guy go down on a stripper right at the main stage once so really anyone can get lucky with the right girl. Looked like he was eating dinner...

During the dance she commented "You're not a regular are you." Nope. "You travelling on business?" Yup. "Staying nearby?" Yup. "You alone?" Yup. "Want some company later?" Yup. "Great! But I'll have to give the babysitter $300." No problem. 👍 I gave her my number and after the club closed she called my room and came over. We had a great time. Now, I don't drink and that might of had something to do with it as I was probably the only sober guy in the club at the time. Also, it pays to be generous. 😁

As a 68 year old man I found your story interesting and heartening as well in that I have had running conversations with many younger woman and none of them have thought me a creep. For this I am truly thankful.

You can use the PUA community's strategy of "stripper rules". Essentially you have to get her not to think of you as a customer. Not easy. I was not able to do it myself, but some other guys have succeeded.

You have an awesome insight. My son's mother (R.I.P) was a stripper for a few years when he was a child. I remember some of the stories and scares that she had working there. I actually bought her a small pistol after someone tried to get into her car at a stoplight. She would tell me stories of some of the nicest men she met and some of the worst people you could meet. As I get older, I realize that this thing called life is a never ending stream of meeting strangers. Some of them become friends and loves, and some of them become warnings. Sadly, a lot of them become forgotten memories never to be seen again. Like the video, thanks for sharing.

Great information and stories! Every club has it's own vibe and can change just because of the customers. On of the best kept secrets it's many have fantastic food at a very reasonable price. Several times I stopped by for lunch and ended up closing the place! If the ladies are having fun then normally the guys are. I love the scenery, the music, the lights and being able to flirt like crazy without any commitments of any kind. Good for the dancers and good for the customers.
I am an older guy who has a love for all beautiful things. Like nature and all this world has to offer. Women are one my favorite things to visually cherish. And the age doesn't matter. Women are just so lovely. They are beautiful flowers that walk and talk.

Nice observations. I'm an older man now (67), but when I was younger, I never thought of myself as handsome. I spent a lot of time in strip clubs. I've always been interested in people. Other men in the clubs would ask me why so many dancers would spend so much time with me when I wasn't spending more than they were. The secret is that I would ask the dancers questions about themselves. Some dancers weren't interested in that, they were only interested in making money and partying, but those weren't the women I was interested in. I quickly developed a rapport with many dancers, and they would consider me a person they could take a break with, just to mentally recuperate. I would usually offer to buy them a drink, but that wasn't why they came over to talk to me.
My success with women outside of strip clubs I attributed mostly to my ability to make women laugh.
I still have friends today who I met as dancers in strip clubs many years ago.
Your story about once-in-a-lifetime opportunities is something I heard many times from many dancers. I only know one woman who went for it, and she was back dancing a month later.
They would all rather not work there doing that. But no other job offers the kind of $$ that it does.

I too was an apprentice Ironworker (Local #167) in the early 1980's, and after a particularly upsetting breakup with a close girlfriend, my classmates took me to a local strip club called Tiffany's. Naturally, I immediately fell for one of the younger dancers (I was only 24 myself) and I spent a good chunk of many paychecks on her over the next few months. Looking back, it was the best psychotherapy I could have spent the money on, and helped me move on to another girlfriend that I eventually married.

I used to be a regular at the strip club. In my youth, I had this naïve view that I was gonna hook up with a stripper. After becoming a cab driver and hearing these woman's drama, I realized I didn't want a stripper. lol 20 years later, I don't even go to strip clubs anymore.
When i was in my late teens and early 20s i used to date only older women, usually 10 years older, i was attracted to maturity, it was easier to talk to them and they knew what they wanted.

At the age of 50, I was teaching high school freshmen. During the month of February, 4 girls asked me to be their Valentine. (3 of them were actually pretty) One of them gave me a paper flower she made in Art Class. Agreed, strip clubs were never really my thing, and I've somehow always been attracted to women slightly older than me even at a young age. But when I met my current g/f of 6 years, her twin daughters were 17 (yes I said twins- fit division 2 volley ball players at that) and after getting to the know them over the last 6 years, my brain just won't let go there. I'm an old man now, but I don't frequent strip clubs and have only been to three when I was younger (once in my early 20s and twice in my early 30s).
I remember the first and only lap dance I had. More specifically, I remember the conversation that I had during the lap dance. We talked about her job, her boyfriend, art that she liked, she asked me a number of questions etc etc. Basically, a respectful and easy conversation. Then she said to me, "You know, you're allowed to put your hands on me", and I was like, "What?" and a few seconds later, the bouncer said time was up.

Smart lady! I was younger.. weren't we all. I was shy. I didn't go to a club to degrade women..but to watch their moves athleticism..grace...put me under your spell. Teach me to be appreciative. If you meet her in the club. The chance of her dating you for anything other than money (no future) are probably zero. That makes you a lucky guy. There are so many things people can do for employment now.
She's got options. If you date a stripper She is gonna want you to treat here Like a sunday school girl. And that's how she'll act because she'll have her stripper life. You won't be a part of. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve come to really appreciate the playful energy of my younger male coworkers. There’s something very comforting about being around young people. I think they help remind me that I’m not dead yet, lol.
Strip joints are dangerous places. I always approached them with caution. Years ago I was talking to a stripper on stage who had a big cast on her arm. I asked her: "What happened to you?" She replied, "I was doing a handstand and a guy grabbed me and I fell and broke my arm." I then asked her, "What happened to that guy?" She then replied in a voice as cold as ice, "The bouncer beat the hell out of him." If you get drunk and lose control at a strip club bad things can happen to you.
I've been hundreds of times over the years and the atmosphere is way safer than a regular nightclub. I've seen plenty of fights in nightclubs and beat up a dude on one occasion. At the strip club the chances of seeing somebody get a beating is way lower.
I'm a 50ish man that manages a non-profit, and my grandfather had five daughters that are younger than me by five or more years. This ex-stripper is a pragmatic realist and she has the age issues between the sexes down to a science. In America women, in general, think older men should marry and or date women that are older and not younger women. What should a man in his 50s do when he wants more children? This is a rhetorical question. It is my understanding that men should be older than his wife. There are some younger women that like and look for the stability and "Down-To-Earthness" of an older man.

When i was young and not very good with women, i always found it easy to talk to stippers because , well, to be frank, i didn't care if they liked me. Banter and flirting was easy, and i picked up a few.
A few years ago, in my mid-40s, i picked up a beautiful woman that i knew from work. At a funeral, no less..
She worked in a cafeteria and should have been a super model. She was a daddys girl and very sheltered. At 30 years old , she seemed quite a bit younger. The age difference made me not all that interested, but she was so strikingly beautiful, it was insane. Out.of 10,000 women who worked at my hospital she stood out like a shinig star.. Im an average looking guy with a very average salary and would normally never think i had a chance with her, but just like with strippers , i didn't care one bit if she liked me . That was the key, and it always is.. the women who i like the best that might make me nervous and self-conscious , i usually strike out with..
It's all about confidence with women. And in retrospect, the most amazing times I've had with women , the most fun I've had, and the strongest feelings I've ever had for a woman, it never had anything to do with their looks.

Interesting stories and well told. Kudos to your husband, and hope you both are still happy and healthy. It's interesting how society sometimes view people, things, etc. Age differences, what you do for a living, where you come from. I never thought anymore or any less of the girls I met in strip clubs, in the club they dealt their hand of the game they played. I myself didn't make silly conversation asking silly questions, I let the conversation flow and be as normal as possible. Of course you realize where you're at, and the girls need to make money. House cover, time talking to a customer, how many dances they need to have in certain areas. I never took it seriously, had fun in and outside of the clubs with acquaintances from the clubs, and let it happen with the attractions that humans have for one another at certain moments. You can't really look for a lot in these places, but can certainly find almost every kind. We all know crazy things happen, but some of the offers to some of the girls are in another stratosphere. Remember, and I believe me, age is a number. Keep your mind and body active, positive thoughts in the most challenging times, and make someone smile and laugh.
I have no idea why youtube suggested this vid to me but as long as I am here, what the heck. So I ran a gentleman's club back in the day, 90s, for the corporation, and most know what I mean by that in the industry, in Montreal. It what I would refer to as "Cheers" where everybody knows your name. Local patrons , very few problems etc. We had a few retired clients who were very respectful and popular with the girls and in fact I know one of them was given a brand new Mercedes for no quid pro quo. He sort of felt for her situation of getting a little long in the tooth for the business. Nuff said. My opinion of the place years later is that any man under 30 is wasting his time and money on an illusion. I guess today's equivalent would be Onlyfans. Sort out your lives gentlemen and the opportunities will present themselves but not in a club.

We had lots of conversations with strippers that were done w/ the act and just wanted to sit and have a beer with us.. most were really easy to get along with.
When I was in my 30s. I had friends that always wanted to go the strip clubs. Most girls are just trying to make a buck and don’t care about the men there. I was in Canada at a club with friends and one girl kept bugging me for a private dance. I cordially declined her several times. She wasn’t attractive to me. Later that night a girl that I found very attractive approached me for a dance and I went back with her and enjoyed the time with her. When I came out the first girl went off on me and had the bouncer kick me out. These club never interested me at all as I am very happy with my wife. I have a few horror stories from few clubs in NYC. Complete rip offs just to get in the door was $$$. To each their own!
it's a common occurrence to be kicked out by the bouncer if you decline one woman for another and the first woman finds out. lol
I used to go to Baby dolls in Euless Texas when I was 15. I could drink and party.

I'm not into window shopping, so I haven't met any exotic dancers. It's fascinating to hear the point of view of an exotic dancer. Unlike the stereotype, I find her refined and articulate. It's true, women have it worse than men as they age. It's not fair. Still, when a man is young and smiles at a woman, the woman giggles and flirts. When a man is old and smiles at a woman, the woman says (or thinks) "Eeeewww!!!". Time has no sympathy for people.
I was going to pass over this. But refreshing to hear your life experiences on this.
