  • A nearby resident bought the property from a company intending to open a mine in the middle of the Cedar Heights neighborhood.

    I've lived in Chino Valley for 23 years now and a couple miles from this area and so happy this mine didn't happen.

    It's not just the noise, gravel pits like that create a lot of dust in the air that agravate breathing problems like emphysema.

    We just have to sew up the loose ends and make sure there is law put in place, no mining in residential or within five miles of a residential area.

    Gravel and aggregate can be quarried just about anywhere. Why would they want it here?
