There are literally GPS devices MADE FOR blind people. How do you think those work? Do they psychically link to the blind person's brain, take control of their body and walk them there? No, obviously the GPS is giving them VERBAL directions.
You simply use non-descript words, such as "walk approximately this amount of steps" and "Once you reach the end of the sidewalk turn left and walk about 20 more steps to reach the crosswalk, cross the street once able, then keep heading west to the end of that sidewalk, turn right and down that sidewalk ten buildings down is the shop you are looking for." No detailed description required and they can touch the edge of every building wall if they have to, or even just ask someone else at some point if they are close to [destination] now for one last check just to be sure.
Again, blind people are not deaf and idk if you knew it, but they aren't stupid either. You apparently seem to think they are though as if somehow their minds can't process toddler level direction skills. Like this is first grade memory stuff you can learn through a damn cartoon lol. If you explain even remotely competently where the blind person is supposed to go, they'll figure it out. Even if it is their first time walking blind alone, it builds muscle memory and independence for them to find a way to the destination with only their ability to hear and feel. Heck, I'm not even blind and yet I follow non-descript directions better as a person who never bothers to remember innocuous street or building names.
Seriously though, it is always recommended to ONLY direct blind people with non-descript words as it can be discouraging when you mention certain things they can't see or just be pointless extra dialog that distracts from the task at hand. The key to giving directions is to be as clear with as few words as possible. If you can cut out having to use unnecessary landmark names and can just give a no nonsense "You have around this amount of steps and this amount of turns to make." any person with even basic sense can follow that without needing to see.
