The HP Premium paper was a game changer, no matter what I'm doing. Hardly any drag and so easy to write on!!
When you recommended these papers in a past video, I went out and got the HP32. However, I find that I just use brush markers directly in my journal, lol! I appreciate you speaking of all the options again. I love your polite way of speaking.
Thank you for sharing that! What kind of journal do you have? Have you noticed any fraying of your pens?
@@EnsignInsights I haven't noticed any fraying with my Archer and Olive. I've used Tombow Dual Brush pens, Zebra Mildliner brush pens, Michael's Artist Loft Dual-tipped watercolor brush pens, Tombow fudes. I've tried others too, but the tips would be floppy and not write as precise, so I didn't keep using those. The Michael's tips I think I learned from you are better than the Tombow dual tips, but I do like the color selection of the Tombow duals.
Ooh thanks for sharing that! I love Archer and Olive. I have one but I haven’t been using my brush pens in it. I need to try it!
@@EnsignInsights Let me know how it goes
Love my Rhodia pad. I was late to the game, and now I am so glad I got it!! I haven’t been using hp premium paper much recently with my brush pens.
Aww yes!! Rhodia is the best!!
Love your book!! Just starting out.
Oh yay! I’m so excited for you!
Took me a while to realise that my paper was making my brush pens fray, then I switched to rhodia. Way happier now 😁
I had the same experience.quality paper is key..love Strathmoreand Rhodia!
Aw yes! I’m so glad you are happier with your paper now!
@@EnsignInsights Thanks so much. Love your video tutorials!
Thanks Women this is wonderful and soothing dear :)
I mainly use Bristol paper and I really like it
Yes! Bristol is great! Thanks for sharing!
All of these are so good!! Ooh speaking of Michael's, sometimes they put Strathmore and Canson paper on offer buy one get one 50% off.
Oh yes!! Thanks for adding that here! I love those sales!
I think tracing is good 👍
Lovely video! I am thinking of getting tracing paper so I can practice with your book ☺️ , have you tried Strathmore Tracing paper? I don’t know if they bleed through or if they are fine just like the canson paper
Im earlyyyyyy omeghaaad im so exciteeeed abt this since im trying a loooot of paper just to not fray my pennssss this reaallly helps thank you♥️♥️♥️but some of it is actually pricey here in my country buut stillll thaaanksss♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
I hope you can find some that works for you! And I hope this helps! Thanks for watching!
I use a journal for practicing my calligraphy so I can bring it to work and use it on my breaks. I found a journal at Michael’s that has a dot grid, plus has 120gsm paper so it’s pretty smooth. If you go to the store and look at their journals, it’s by Artist’s Lost and it has a red Level 2 label on it.
Ooh that sounds great! Thanks for sharing!
Here in México a lot of people use the Office Depot refills for 3 hole binders, are smooth enough to don't hurt the brushpens
Ooh that’s a great trick! Thanks for sharing!
Giọng anh rất hay, cảm xúc nữa ạ.
Can you figure out how to make our own worksheets? I've figured out my style and I really feel for it so I wanna make mine
You can definitely do that! 👍
im finally havihng to buy a new marker in my tombow it's a red one an I use them for coloring lol it started to fray but I take care of my markers thankfully an listening to you sea lemon,Makoccino,How to hand letter,AmandaRachLee i loves all of you
Oh yes! That's great you take care of your markers! :)
Hi! What about optik paper? I have few notebooks with it and I don’t want my brush pens to fray
🌟
I just wish we had access to the HP premium 32 paper here in Australia. I use Rhodia, Bristol and Clair Fontaine notebooks
The paper you have is great! I need to try Clair Fontaine notebooks!
@@EnsignInsights so good news in case you want to share with your Australian viewers. The equivalent paper here is called HP Colour Copy 120gsm - can be bought at Officeworks (our version of Staples or OfficeMax) in their premium copy paper section and is around $12.50 for 250 sheets.
How are these on Archer and Olive paper?😅
Your book look so good😭❤️
Thank you so much!!
I will try the Rhodia paper the HP Paper is really expensive in the UK
Rhodia notepads are great!!
What are your thoughts on Hammermill 28lb paper? I find it’s as smooth as HP 32lb just slightly thinner.
I haven’t tried that paper! That’s good to know!
@@EnsignInsights Hammermill 28lb Premium Color Copy is the one I am taking about. I actually have a stack of it mixed with HP32 and it’s very hard to tell which is which. The 28lb is slightly less expensive though.
@@EnsignInsights ! I’d like to hear your opinion on the Hammermill Premium Color Copy, and the Hammermill 24lb Laser Paper (also ultra smooth) versus the HP and Rhodia etc.
Paper Info:
Hammermill Color Copy Paper, 8-1/2" x 11", 28 lb, Ultra Smooth, White, 500 Sheets/Ream Copy paper combines an extra smooth surface and high brightness to produce exceptional color images. This heavyweight sheet was designed to run on small and large offset presses, copiers, laser printers, inkjet printers and fax machines that use plain paper. Super bright photo white delivers excellent image contrast and color reproduction.
Oop I already have my Tombow frayed but not much because I know they fray easily from what I’ve heard so I got Strathmore Bristol paper but it’s not really good to practice it’s more for like you’re finished final work
That is true about bristol paper! It is pretty fancy for practice! Thanks for sharing!
first view first like first comment :)
love ur vids, specially your voice
Thank you so much!
Among the mixed media, Bristol and watercolor paper which is best for blending
Yes!
@@EnsignInsights hey I wanted to know which one I should purchase among the three
Hi I'm from the UK and have been trying to find a smooth printer paper like the HP 32 but can't find any and I'm not too keen on buying lots of smooth notebooks to practice on since it's pricy. Or if I should just use tracing paper (also does the tracing paper matter or is there special smooth types of tracing paper like paper?)
Have you found a good tracing paper that works well? I am also from the UK and only just started Brush Art so would really appreciate your recommendation. Thank you
❤️
What can I do with the frayed brush pens ??
Watercolour background
These are great ideas! I mostly use frayed brush pens as watercolor or if I don’t like them for that anymore I donate them!
@@EnsignInsights thank you 😊
I use them for practice, and in colouring books and sometimes as watercolour markers.
Is there a rating to tell how smooth a paper is? For example in buying adult colouring books how can you tell how smooth the paper will be?
I have no idea about adult coloring books! I think you’ll just have to feel it for yourself. I will say though, all brush pens will fray eventually. So every once in a while it’s ok to use paper that’s not totally smooth!
Hey, I just wanted to ask if using five-star paper from their composition notebook is better than using regular copy paper. It seems smoother to me, but I'm not sure if it really is. Thank you!
Great question! I frayed some of my brush pens using a composition notebook in the beginning so I’m not sure if it’s much smoother!
@@EnsignInsights Ah, okay thank you! Next time there is a sale for Rhodia paper, I'm going to buy those hopefully!
Hey can anyone tell whether hp premium 32 paper in India 🇮🇳. Pls tell
I don’t know but you can let me know what paper you find!
I commented on your video about the web notebook
Ooh you already told me about it! Thank you! What do you use it for? I find the paper is a little yellow so I wonder how that will affect the colors of my pens.
@@EnsignInsights I actually haven't used it I have seen video where people used brush pens on it....
Can you please do a video where you try ohuhu markers for had lettering That’s the only brush pen I have 🙏🤪
Those have been on my list for a while! I think they might be the same or very similar to the pens I reviewed in my "cheapest brush pens" video!
First!
Hey
