I watched this at church when I was about 9 or 10 so 1980 or 1981 and it scared 😱 me. I'm now 51 and no longer scared but super excited that Jesus Christ is coming soon!!!!!! Praise the lord
I got my first Bible when I was 12 in 1982 and I didn't know how to interpret any of it. As a kid I wanted to read the last chapter to see how the story ended. It alone scared me. It was years later my brother said open the book and read the Gospals. This gave me hope and that alone allowed me to accept Christ. Took me to now when I'm 53 to fully see what is in store. I'm thankful to be alive in such a time.
I hadn't seen these till now and it reaffirms to me that Jesus is Lord. I became a christian in 1979 right after high school. Now I'm 65. These movies should be again shown to young people all people who don't know the Savior. God bless you

I was talking about this thing today! The technology we have today was only in the baby stages even back in the 70's. Computers for instance. Remember when we needed a big old monitor with the keyboard and a hard drive beneath the monitor to put your floppy disks and now we can put a computer that puts those to shame memory wise and everything else and put it on our laps! Even on our phones to put in our back pockets. The end is near. Might be tonight! I more or less wake up every day thinking that THIS could be the day and I want to make it worthwhile as I want to be doing God's work when he comes back! Just knowing we are alive to see this is a great time if you are a Christian, scary if you are not!
Wow seeing this movie was made in the 70’s , when my grandparents were very young , makes me see the mercy of God because he still is giving us time to repent❤️
I saw these movies as a teenager and after all these years the message still endures. It might even be more important now as it was back then. Just never stop believing in Christ.

Actually the first one was made in 72, this one in 76 and the last two in the 80s. Though these are unbilbical because In Matthew 24:27-37 says the Lord will return after the tribulation. :o Huggies. 😃
@@blacksheepgirl Agreed! I no longer hold to a pre-tribulation eschatology as I am Lutheran. We are a-millinialist (not a literal 1,000 years). We are going through tribulation until Jesus returns. So why do I like these films besides the nostalgia? Simple, really. What many call "the rapture" I say it's the second coming. Saying that, we are certainly encountering state-control of what we can do/say with our faith. Doesn't seem too far off from the movie. -maranatha!

People speak about the impact these movies made in the 70s and 80s but I saw A Thief in The Night as a kid in 97 in Spanish and it scared the heck out of me but impacted me in a big way. Me and my cousins still reminisce about how much these scared us back in the day. But I’m Glad to say many of us are still walking with the Lord. God bless you all saints!
Very nice. People say this movie scared them and therefore is a horrible movie. But better to be scared by a movie to make better choices before its too late, than to be scared during really terrible times when making good choices will be much more difficult.

My church never seemed to talk about the Revelation, the 2nd coming or anything much beyond being a good, loving Christian and going to Heaven when you die. Just enough truth to make me think I was a Christian. I knew plenty about the travels of Paul, but little of what he said. My friend, Cindy, spoke of it, though.
I went with a friend who invited me to this movie, that night I went home to my room alone and I said to God that I didn't know about getting saved but I need you please save me if you are real. God used this movie and my friend to reach me and take me out of the pit. I was saved mightily and I knew it!!! Father God your arm is not short that you cannot save, but mighty to the pulling down strong holds in Jesus name. Amen.

How much God loved her and tried to reach her . Have her a saved grandma , saved husband , she heard the evangelist explain it all , she had warning dream from God and Christian’s trying to help her right up to the last minute . She sadly without excuse . She used to drive me nuts. But she sure is an illustration of many people and cna be our own heart when we stubbornly refuse God in any way . Always be a great movie . Me too and it traumatized me! I have asked Jesus into my heart but I still fear that I won't make heaven. Idk why but I always have since I saw this movie series. Please pray for me. I'm not perfect but I do believe in Jesus and have asked for forgiveness daily and asked Jesus into my heart many, many times bc I fear not making it.

The original one of the series is as old as I am 1972's A Thiet in the Night ( 50 years ago).I first came across these films 10 years ago on a friend invited me to go see that 1972 film at a local church. I never even knew they were making end times films in the '70s until 2012. That weekend I came across all four of the movies in the series on RUclips and watch them in a binge watching session it kept me up till like 4:30 in the morning.watching them. These are like watching the news in May 2022.
I grew up going to church 3 times a week, calling myself a Christian because I believed God was who He said He was. Yet, at the tender age of 20 and a half, my husband walked out on me and turned my church against me. We had an Interim Pastor of a stricter denomination who forbade my family from ever coming back. This happened in 1976, just about when these movies started coming out. I knew nothing of the Book of Revelation, so when I was saved in the 90's it was shocking, yet exciting to find these! We are so close of a society to see these things come about...Look up! Your Redemption draws near! 😇📖

This filmed scared me to death as a kid. I was saved since 8, but re dedicated my life again after this movie just to be sure. Still gives me chills when that guy says " today you will be executed". 45 years old now and am so glad im saved by the blood of JESUS CHRIST and will never have to endure the absolute frightening things that will happen on earth. But the Great Tribulation is for God to pour His wrath of judgments on those who reject Christ. Also, it's the time that God will deal with Israel. The Rapture of the church has to take place before the Tribulation begins. The Apostle Paul said that the Restrainer must be removed before God pours judgments. The church is not under His wrath. I know I will never take that mark. I know that when the Lord comes I will leave. But if I were to be put in that situation, I will not take the mark. I was threatened to lose my job if I didn't get the shot, and I still said no. I would die for the Lord if put in that situation. Life is but short, but eternity is a very long time, it doesn't have an end.
I don't want to take the mark either. I don't want to be here either. I would rather go in the rapture. I am not going to accept that mark. I would rather die.
You won't be here when the mark in forced on people if you're a believer--if you subscribe to the pre-trib Rapture interpretation of the Bible. A vaccine is NOT the mark. We've had vaccines for many years now. I remember watching this tetralogy back in 1999/2000 in my 5th grade Christian school. If this didn't put the fear of God in you and make you accept Jesus into your heart, then I don't know what will!
That is why I don't call myself a Christian anymore. When you have people, like in government for example, who claim to be Christian's and then treat the poor with contempt etc, they are not Christians. There are massive amounts of so called Christians who are dong things in the name of God that are so wrong and they are clearly not Christians. I am part of Christ's Church and I am a lot happier than they are.

Even though I missed out on these movies (I was born in the early 70's) growing up, watching this movie along with part one I've drawn a couple of conclusions: 1) Given the limited budget and the "After School Special" feel, these were really well done. Sometimes the glitter of Hollyweird allows us to lose the intent of the movie, not here. 2) One thing that never changes is human nature. A thief in the night was perfect in that regard. The casual attitudes, scoffers, etc. I hope and pray that the recent world events will shake up the heathen and wake people up to our redeemer Christ Jesus. In this era of incredible deception, always remember this dear people. From Psalms 118 verse 8: It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to put confidence in man.

I remember when l first watched these gospel movies A Thief In The Night and A Distant Thunder and The Pilgrims Progress and some others. Thank God for our salvation in the Lord Jesus Christ amen. By God's grace and help let's keep pressing on to a much closer walk and life with the Lord amen. It sure feels that we are even more in the end times now then when l first watched those films back in 1988. We are sure getting closer to those events now let's stay close to the Lord.amen.
I cried at the end. This movie is so powerful and it shows the true reality of things. It's 2022 and we are still in the last days. I was surprised that girl was a Judas Iscariot , a betrayer at the end, but it all made sense, she was too lenient.

It was really hard for Patty when her husband Jim went in the rapture. Then she was left behind & had that awful dream she was left her during the tribulation. She was trying to hide from the unite people. It was hard in the first movie nobody was on her side.

This is the first one of the 4 movies that I saw when I was about 10. My Mom got the VHS from her church and had all of her extended family watch it at my aunt's. It scared the heck out of me and it didn't help that it rained and thundered on our way home! lol. I have all 4 of the movies today. You can make fun of the styles and special effects but the message is still true today especially in the end times we are living in. If they can force you to take a shot, they can force you to take the mark which I believe is coming soon.

If it was this bad then during the tribulation I can only imagine how it will be today in this day and age. I accepted Jesus a year or so ago and I got babtized may 1rst. The best day of my entire life. I believe he's coming sooner than later but no one but God knows.
I was saved in May 2021 and baptized almost a year later on Easter 2022. Being baptized was a wonderful experience but then very soon the devil started attacking me in a variety of ways and things have been very tough ever since. I know it’s been 100% worth it but I keep praying to God to direct my paths and to help me. I need healing and miracles - or maybe the rapture is so soon now it really doesn’t matter.

I got my first Bible when I was 12 in 1982 and I didn't know how to interpret any of it. As a kid I wanted to read the last chapter to see how the story ended. It alone scared me. It was years later my brother said open the book and read the Gospals. This gave me hope and that alone allowed me to accept Christ. Took me to now when I'm 53 to fully see what is in store. I'm thankful to be alive in such a time.
I hadn't seen these till now and it reaffirms to me that Jesus is Lord. I became a christian in 1979 right after high school. Now I'm 65. These movies should be again shown to young people all people who don't know the Savior. God bless you

It's amazing that these films had such an impact on us kids of the 70' and 80's and it turns out we were the generation that needed to understand this.
I was talking about this thing today! The technology we have today was only in the baby stages even back in the 70's. Computers for instance. Remember when we needed a big old monitor with the keyboard and a hard drive beneath the monitor to put your floppy disks and now we can put a computer that puts those to shame memory wise and everything else and put it on our laps! Even on our phones to put in our back pockets. The end is near. Might be tonight! I more or less wake up every day thinking that THIS could be the day and I want to make it worthwhile as I want to be doing God's work when he comes back! Just knowing we are alive to see this is a great time if you are a Christian, scary if you are not!

I no longer hold to a pre-tribulation eschatology as I am Lutheran. We are a-millinialist (not a literal 1,000 years). We are going through tribulation until Jesus returns.
So why do I like these films besides the nostalgia? Simple, really. What many call "the rapture" I say it's the second coming.
Saying that, we are certainly encountering state-control of what we can do/say with our faith. Doesn't seem too far off from the movie.

People speak about the impact these movies made in the 70s and 80s but I saw A Thief in The Night as a kid in 97 in Spanish and it scared the heck out of me but impacted me in a big way. I went with a friend who invited me to this movie, that night I went home to my room alone and I said to God that I didn't know about getting saved but I need you please save me if you are real. God used this movie and my friend to reach me and take me out of the pit. I was saved mightily and I knew it!!! Have her a saved grandma , saved husband , she heard the evangelist explain it all , she had warning dream from God and Christian’s trying to help her right up to the last minute . The original one of the series is as old as I am 1972's A Thiet in the Night ( 50 years ago).I first came across these films 10 years ago on a friend invited me to go see that 1972 film at a local church. I never even knew they were making end times films in the '70s until 2012. That weekend I came across all four of the movies in the series on RUclips and watch them in a binge watching session it kept me up till like 4:30 in the morning.watching them. These are like watching the news in May 2022.

Yet, at the tender age of 20 and a half, my husband walked out on me and turned my church against me. We had an Interim Pastor of a stricter denomination who forbade my family from ever coming back. This happened in 1976, just about when these movies started coming out. I knew nothing of the Book of Revelation, so when I was saved in the 90's it was shocking, yet exciting to find these! The Great Tribulation is not for the church. Yes, for now we do go through trials and tribulations. But the Great Tribulation is for God to pour His wrath of judgments on those who reject Christ. Also, it's the time that God will deal with Israel. The Rapture of the church has to take place before the Tribulation begins. The Apostle Paul said that the Restrainer must be removed before God pours judgments. The church is not under His wrath. I know I will never take that mark. I know that when the Lord comes I will leave. But if I were to be put in that situation, I will not take the mark. I was threatened to lose my job if I didn't get the shot, and I still said no. I would die for the Lord if put in that situation. Life is but short, but eternity is a very long time, it doesn't have an end.
I don't want to take the mark either. I don't want to be here either. I would rather go in the rapture. I am not going to accept that mark. I would rather die.
You won't be here when the mark in forced on people if you're a believer--if you subscribe to the pre-trib Rapture interpretation of the Bible. A vaccine is NOT the mark. We've had vaccines for many years now. Neither the polio vaccine, nor smallpox, nor chickenpox, nor H1N1, flu, tetanus, measles, mumps, rubella, covid.....yada yada yada yada yada.....NO vaccine is the mark. Period.
Still just as powerful now as it was when I saw it long ago. This should be shown now, everywhere because Jesus really is coming soon and the times are lining up as dictated in the Bible.

I remember watching this tetralogy back in 1999/2000 in my 5th grade Christian school. If this didn't put the fear of God in you and make you accept Jesus into your heart, then I don't know what will!

I was looking for this movie 🎥 I had it mix up with another Christianity movie. It had impact my life back than. Still does. Repentance is now tomorrow might be too late God have mercy on mankind. Share this movie through out internet and family members, friends God be with you all
Fortunately for me it's an Easy Choice. Not only have I had Jesus in me since I was a kid, but I have heart problems, bone Spurs, arthritis, high blood pressure, etc. I'll take the gilliotin with a Smile. Only hurts for a second then off to be with God and Jesus, Forever.😊😊😊😊😊😊

Even though I missed out on these movies (I was born in the early 70's) growing up, watching this movie along with part one I've drawn a couple of conclusions:
1) Given the limited budget and the "After School Special" feel, these were really well done. Sometimes the glitter of Hollyweird allows us to lose the intent of the movie, not here.
2) One thing that never changes is human nature. A thief in the night was perfect in that regard. The casual attitudes, scoffers, etc.
I hope and pray that the recent world events will shake up the heathen and wake people up to our redeemer Christ Jesus. In this era of incredible deception, always remember this dear people. From Psalms 118 verse 8:
It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to put confidence in man.

I don't think any end times movie, no matter how realistic, could really capture the horrors of being left behind to endure the great tribulation!

I remember when l first watched these gospel movies A Thief In The Night and A Distant Thunder and The Pilgrims Progress and some others. Thank God for our salvation in the Lord Jesus Christ amen. By God's grace and help let's keep pressing on to a much closer walk and life with the Lord amen. It sure feels that we are even more in the end times now then when l first watched those films back in 1988. We are sure getting closer to those events now let's stay close to the Lord.amen.

I cried at the end. This movie is so powerful and it shows the true reality of things. It's 2022 and we are still in the last days. I was surprised that girl was a Judas Iscariot , a betrayer at the end, but it all made sense, she was too lenient.

It was really hard for Patty when her husband Jim went in the rapture. Then she was left behind & had that awful dream she was left her during the tribulation. She was trying to hide from the unite people. It was hard in the first movie nobody was on her side.

It’s 2/18/23. I just finished A THIEF IN THE NIGHT. If that video didn’t make you think, this one will.
This is the first one of the 4 movies that I saw when I was about 10. My Mom got the VHS from her church and had all of her extended family watch it at my aunt's. It scared the heck out of me and it didn't help that it rained and thundered on our way home! lol. I have all 4 of the movies today. You can make fun of the styles and special effects but the message is still true today especially in the end times we are living in. If they can force you to take a shot, they can force you to take the mark which I believe is coming soon.

If it was this bad then during the tribulation I can only imagine how it will be today in this day and age. I accepted Jesus a year or so ago and I got babtized may 1rst. The best day of my entire life. I believe he's coming sooner than later but no one but God knows.
I was saved in May 2021 and baptized almost a year later on Easter 2022. Being baptized was a wonderful experience but then very soon the devil started attacking me in a variety of ways and things have been very tough ever since. I know it’s been 100% worth it but I keep praying to God to direct my paths and to help me. I need healing and miracles - or maybe the rapture is so soon now it really doesn’t matter.
