Just want to thank you for this video. It saved my life. I was required to sit for this test when transferring my license from another state and had no reference to follow as I did not attend school here. I followed all your steps and passed with only 2 points off! Thank you! thank you!
Valerie, I am also coming from another state to test. Where did you source your supplies and find a list of what to pack and what goes in each bag? Do you still have your kit and willing to sell?
Forever grateful for you publishing this video!! Thank you so so so much! My program was completely online due to Covid 19 and the unethical nature of my school. I was never afforded the chance to run through the practical with my instructors. Watching this allotted me the opportunity to earn my advanced esthetician license in OH!
Can you please do a video on how one would prepare when they do virtual testing since many states will be doing virtual testing from Michigan Tennessee Texas there's a few others that have already started virtual testing and practical. How many towels would one bring for their esthetician exam.
I wanted to verify because my school just told me otherwise during my mock practical, is the back of the hand considered a sanitary surface by Ohio State Board? I was told to take the mask out with the mask brush and that it was ok to use the brush to get more product if needed, but your way makes more sense to me considering you are supposed to treat the cups as original containers that you’re dispensing out of. TIA
Yeah, I would definitely remove the masque with a spatula or dispense it from a squeeze bottle onto the back of your hand and repeat that process if you need more masque. You're only covering the face, so about a teaspoon is usually enough, depending on the product's thickness and visibility. Definitely practice ahead of time, especially if you're not confident in eyeballing your measurements 😊
If that still doesn't feel sanitary enough for you, you could also put a glove on the hand that you're using as your sanitary area, but that will take extra time, and the masque application section is only like 2 minutes now, I believe.
Whew this video helped so much I passed my exam 9/2/22 thank youuuuu 😊
Just to reiterate, we don’t have to change the workspace towel we are setting our supplies on between each part right ? Thank you !

Hi. What product was used for the fake wax?
Vaseline

Can anyone tell me what product to buy to simulate wax?
Do you not have to use blood borne bags? For the extraction and waxing proportion.
As long as your supplies are in a clean, closed container, they assume that they are precleaned to standard.
@@missnikkistone thank you!!
Just wanted to circle back I passed 🎉
So helpful thank you sm I’m up next 🎉
@@miascott9264what did you use for the fake wax?
Is this the same set up for KY state test? I'm looking to take my test for KY after being licensed in TX and idk if it's different 😢
I have no clue. You'd need to contact KY's State Board of Cosmetology
