    As of a KLAS news article yesterday, law firms have filed a total of five class action lawsuits against MGM Resorts International and Caesars Entertainment for the data breaches of personally identifiable information of these casinos' customers. Both casinos have pretty much done nothing to notify their customers of the potential for identity fraud from this hack attack by cybercriminals. The people at MGM and Caesars who handle public relations should all be fired. Apparently, these two casinos' management are only good at eliminating free parking, putting a third zero on the roulette wheel and shutting down buffets. And, of course, selling the land under their casinos to VICI Properties, an REIT formed in 2017 with unlimited billions at its disposal from. . . ?

      MGM values their money above customer data protections as stated by the hacking group that had talks with and offered MGM execs a CHANCE to buy back the customer data but the hackers were later cut off from any further type of negotiations...this all before ANY type of ransomware was initiated.

    Jacob, A friend and I recently returned from Las Vegas this past weekend. We stayed at the Bellagio and had a wonderful time! I have been watching you for several months and used your tips and tricks to enhance our experience there. We made sure to tip all of our service givers well and they treated us like gold! Our dinner at Prime Steak was the best we ever had and our experience in the casino is one we will tell others for a lifetime. I'll make sure to send anyone curious about Las Vegas your way.       Bellagio is amazing. The restaurant next to Prime, Picasso, is delicious too. Make reservations early and ask for a patio table if you go during a time when the weather is good.

      This is true! They structured the rewards to favor them and make it nearly possible for regular visitors to accumulate comps. Last year I burned through about a grand in the high limit room and i used my card religiously on my three day trip and only got about 200 points. Before I’d get between 1500-2k keeping my pearl status…. It’s almost as if they don’t want you to use your card or get comps🤔

      Consider gambling half as much - this way u reward yourself. All comps are prepaid Nothing is free in Vegas

    Thank you for your informative and entertaining videos.
    Wife and I were at Aria Sunday, Sept. 10 through Friday, Sept. 15.
    Sunday, good. Monday, not so much.
    On checkout Friday morning we went to host's office to inquire about free play and bonus freeplay for midweek stay, and resort credits. He said sorry, no answers, and don't bother to check out at desk, just leave and they'll sort it out in time.
    As you say, everyday employees were great as usual, but still didn't know when next paycheck would come...
    Please keep these updates coming as you are DEFINITELY the source on the ground.

    In Vegas now. Stayed at nyny. No issues for us. Gambling.. Checking in.. Food.. Etc. Few things looked like was offline. But didn't effect our trip.

    Just got back today and had a great time. Stayed at two hotels. Checkin was a beeeze. No problem with slots. Able to get my free play. Everyone was nice. Had great service. Don’t be afraid to go. It was fine.

    Jacob, I was in Vegas just this past weekend (9/23 - 25). There were still a ton of people in Vegas as there were a Raiders game, iHeartRadio concert, and WNBA playoffs. My friend stayed at the MGM Grand and it had a very long line during normal check-in times (3 pm) but the line moved fairly quickly. I would suggest checking in later, maybe around 8 pm if you can. I checked in at the Excalibur at 8 pm and had no lines. MGM Grand, Excalibur, and NY/NY didn't have any issues with the slots. Only Park MGM had issues. We needed the attendant several times to cash us out (no didn't win big 😞). Good luck everyone! BTW, all the hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Give the worker bees some props.

    We were in New York New York tonight, Tuesday 9/26 to see the Mad Apple show. Everything seemed to be working normally. Played some slots. No issues. By the way, very good show. Entertaining and not over priced. Also ate at an Italian restaurant there (Ilfornaio). Very good and great service.

    This should tell people everything they need to know about what Las Vegas (MGM) is all about. Right now they should be giving the house away. So what do they do? Try to fool you in thinking that everything is or will be back to normal. As soon as they fix the parking they charge. You would think the only email they should have sent out is. Come one come all till we get this fixed. I was making 10 trips or so to Vegas in past years and would already have started setting up for next year. Ive got nothing planned. Before this I was getting more comps before I had status. Now that I have status, comps are far and few between. I think in the Old days the "Boys" would have done things differently.

      You and I are of the same mind. I make 6-7 trips a year using comps. Just cancelled a trip last week because I don't trust them, and at the MINIMUM, they'd better renew my status level for next year. I have ZERO confidence that they are tracking and awarding play and spend properly. I'm very careful as I'm sure you are about getting every bit of credit and points that I earn to maintain my comps and status and if I go down a level because of their screw up I'm going to be pissed and take all my spend elsewhere. I agree that instead of doing the right thing by their loyal customers, they seem to be doubling down on the stupid and greedy.

      Yep. I guess they got so fat they don't care about customers. I switched to Planet Hollywood a week ago when I was there, free suite and played at Resorts World. Might as well build up comps somewhere else. Hope someone figures out over there that customers might not come back with better treatment elsewhere.

      The problem with that is right when Covid was easing up they gave really really cheap rooms, like, suites for $200. The element that showed up was truly frightening.

    Hey thanks for the updates. I just got back from Vegas, I stayed at the park mgm. 60% of the slots were working, but 40% were not. I decided on not gambling much at mgm property’s and just decided on gambling downtown.

    I would recommend staying away from all MGM properties for awhile. We went to our MGM at Northfield in Ohio on Sunday and it wasn't a good experience. Seemed like tighter then normal and still had some games down. Nothing extra and nothing for being there when the attack hit on 9 11 we are considering not going back. At this point why should lower players ever go there.

      Not for that we just wanted what we were supposed to get in comps and freeplay for that day. The system wasnt working so we were unable to get what we were already supposed too.

    Hey Jacob, at MGM Springfield (in MA) pretty much all of the slots are up and running, but some ticket exchangers still down as well. Just wanted to share an update for 9/27 from their northeast property

    All I can say is if you booked through a third-party call the casino and make sure they even have your reservation. They didn’t have mine. They had to manually enter my details into their system. Glad I checked before I actually arrived this weekend.

      Good lookin out on this heads up. We made a reservation through Priceline at Vdarra in October. Will definitely call MGM directly to make sure they have our reservation.

    Thanks for the update, Jacob. I was wondering if guests are able to take advantage of resort credits provided in their offer packages. For example, I have been given a resort credit of $250 for food, beverage and show tickets that I used to be able to redeem by charging meals, etc. to the room. I won’t be staying at MGM properties again until I am sure that I can still do so.

      @@dericatrunhip3776 MGM has certainly not been forthcoming on providing reliable information on resort credits. MGM has stated in an update of 20 September that slot dollars and FREEPLAY are redeemable. In that same update MGM stated that “MGM Reward points” were not available for use. I assume that “MGM Reward points” include comp dollars. However, does “MGM Reward points” include resort credits in offer packages? Why the Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck on MGM’s part? It’s a “yes” or a “no.” For my part I am so disgusted by MGM’s lack of transparency that I won’t be staying at their properties until their MGM loyalty program and app are fully functional. If I were you, however, I would call VIP services and insist on a straight answer and also an email confirmation of the conversation. Why spend the entire trip arguing with hotel staff about resort credits? From what I see, MGM has done nothing but make its problems everyone’s problems.

    How about hotel operations? Are any of these still issues at Luxor?
    1. Long check-in lines (2+ hours)
    2. Only getting one key
    3. Key does not work or room is already occupied
    4. Are any of the parking garages not charging?

    I’ve already booked Christmas dates at Venetian, which was our first choice hotel when we started coming to LV….MGM/Bellagio probably won’t ever see another room res from us.

    Was just in Vegas yesterday, no issues really, one problem with valet ticket not taking comps but they fixed in a few minutes and no issues after that. Few locations couldn't charge to room at a couple places.
    Free play for stay worked fine, room charge most places worked fine.
    Slots all worked fine, vouchers worked just fine.
    App still down but overall good stay at Mandalay Bay.
    Need to check bill but didn't see many issues at all. Casino was packed after Raiders game!
    Was surprised how well everything was running so I didn't see the same things you did at all.

    Was just at Aria a few hours ago (9/27) and I'd say 70+% of the slots were NOT playable. It was visually shocking to see so many black screens. It was harder to find one that worked than one that didn't. If you're coming to Vegas, go to Caesars properties, Mirage (Hard Rock), Cosmo (Infinity), Wynn, Venetian or Resorts World. Skip all of the MGM properties re slots.

    The rewards part of the app not working is def annoying. But went to my local MGM (National Harbor) two weekends in a row and everything in there was operating as normal.

    Was in Las Vegas last weekend... check-in is still a nightmare, half the slot roulette tables don't work. Can't sign into mlife website and ATM withdrawals still have issue which makes my worried! Plus any comps towards mgm rewards system is still down

    Borgata was fine last weekend dinner reservations were honored played craps and I earned rewards at the restaurant and bars but was told the entire time we couldn’t use comps we’ll see when it’s back up to see if I got credit

    I was at Mandalay Bay front desk yesterday, Sunday, September 25. Wasn’t there to check in wasn’t there to check out. I was there to book some rooms. … and of course, lady had a attitude with me. The audacity that an MGM rewards member come to the front desk to book future dates to come back to the resort. The audacity of me! Because she told me she couldn’t book rooms for future dates. SMH. A freakin hotel front desk could not book rooms for a future dates?..Unbelievable! Instead, she directed me to the phone number that Jacob references in this update. And yes, with Jacob saying about the offsite, it sends you too is true as well. How about this MGM? Let’s at least train the front desk staff to book rooms for future dates when you have cyber security issues. At minimum!     You need to talk to someone in their IT department I heard they are looking to hire a LINUX system engineer at over $100/hour to help repair the mess. Now you would think that if their systems got fried, they could rollback to an older version of the system that was not corrupted. But it sounds like the damage is widespread and recovery is not possible. So they have to find what caused everything to get compromised and then patch those systems so that it does not happen again. Once that is done they can either restore from an old copy or move forward with what they have cleaned. I would expect there will be data loss during this time period.

    Thanks for the update! I’m curious as to how far back this data breach goes and what it entails. I stayed at MGM Grand last September and have an MGM rewards credit card. I got the card to earn free play and points for comped stays. I have gambled at MGM properties since, but not stayed. I just wonder how much of my information has been compromised, or if any has been compromised at all. It makes me uneasy not to know.

      I’m concerned about my card too. I did the exact same thing. I got the MGM Rewards card that comes from FNBO Bank in Omaha Nebraska. I got the card simply to get tier points and promotions. Therefore I could use that as my primary credit card and then I only had to make two trips to any MGM Property every year and I’d easily keep my Platinum status.
      Anyway, I made a large purchase on September 17th for some furniture and apparently they didn’t like that purchase. A normal credit card/bank would call or send a text message and ask if this was a legitimate purchase before they let it go through but they didn’t do that. I’ve had that happen to me before, but I never heard anything from them. Then on September 18th I just tried to get some gas and my card was denied. I called and asked what the problem was and was told that my card is under review. I asked what that meant and whoever I was talking to said they aren’t allowed to say anything more than that. I also looked at my online statement and my account has been locked ever since the 17th. I continued to call every day until Monday the 25th asking about this and kept getting the same answer. They even went so far as to hang up on me. I just kept asking the same thing. All I wanted to know was why my card was under review and what that meant and they just kept saying they couldn’t talk to me about it and had to hang up.
      On Monday I finally lost it and said No don’t hang up. This is unacceptable and I need more information. Click. I called back and told them I’d like to cancel my card. They transferred me to customer service. Some guy then asked me if I wanted to cancel my card, I said yes, he said ok I’ll cancel it. Goodbye. Click.
      What kind of rinky dink operation is that? I mean I’m still locked out of my account. I can’t see any of my transactions.

    Thanks Jacob. Is there any way you can update us on the multiple class action lawsuits that MGM and Caesar’s are currently facing for the data breaches from the cyber attacks? I’ve been a rewards member for many years, and am certain my DL # and most likely SS# were in file. From either cashing checks or cashing out larger sums of money that require a SS# to be on file. Any info would be awesome. Keep up the good work!

    Went last weekend, no points earned, no comps, no wins. Slots at all MGM properties were TIGHT! So lost a decent amount and no benefit. Played downtown the last two days there.

    Ok, so this afternoon, I was able to make reservations at the Signature MGM on the app. I thought it looked like a third-party site as well, but I wasn't familiar with the app before the hacking incident. Should I have waited?

    We were at Aria all week Mon-Fri. Just got home. When we arrived Monday nearly half the slots were down and the ones that were up would not give vouchers and you had to do hand pay for everything. It seemed to improve during the week. There were still many machines down, but some that were working would not take vouchers. We don't know how this is going to affect the loyalty points. Could not charge meals to our room. Literally just turned in all our receipts and they wrote the account number on the batch and said they will apply later when things are back up. We'll see!

    I am staying at Aria right now. We are able to use our Freeplay and resort credit. Aria has several slots still down, but all of our tickets have paid out from the machine. Park MGM is a different story. Many of the ticket payouts on their slots are not working and require a hand pay. I waited 20 minutes last night and the it rep seemed very stressed and unsympathetic to the customer. There was a guest waiting to get paid at the poker slots for over 45 minutes - these are not jackpots, just getting the money out of the machine.

    Just returned from staying at Luxor Sun & Mon nights for the Steelers/Raiders game. We were able to check in Sunday at 12:30pm, no early check in fee. Brought a print out of our reservation, which the staff member said was a huge help. All slots appeared to be working with TITO. Didn't gamble at any MGM properties since unsure of proper crediting of points.
