- DIY: Learn how to make low cost cyclone dust collector for vacuum cleaner which can attach to ready made or home made vacuum cleaner. Materials used for this project are plastic bottle, mini food container, PVC pipe and 12 volt DC motor. almost material you can find from home or Junkyard.

WOW!!!! That's exactly what they should teach kids at schools.
Quite neat, the shape isn't really optimised but does the job. I guess this would make more sense as an addon for a vacuum cleaner to save up on filters/bags.

Well that was cool. Do you think a filter would be needed on the vertical tube inside the cyclone chamber that goes to the motor? I'm just wondering if smaller particles of dust could be pulled up into it when they reach the bottom of the cyclone.
+MantisRay861 no need for filter b'cos all the dust will collect at the bottom of cyclone.
