- The Goons Peter Sellers, Spike Milligan & Harry Secombe perform their comedy routine "Les Trois Charlies" on the all-star tribute show "The Heart of Show Business", introduced by Elizabeth Taylor. The show was recorded in November 1966, and broadcast on March 26, 1967.
This clip is part of the documentary "This is Elstree" made about ATV's programmes.

That was a significant bicep Harry Secombe displayed! It never occurred to me before but perhaps there was muscle under that bulk?
There was! Spike used to tell of Harry’s strength in picking up him and Peter during the Goon Show warm-ups.

Still hoping this show will be broadcast somewhere again! It is a stellar cast indeed ❤ I believe a lot of the ATV/ITV material has been wiped over the years unfortunately... Some clips thankfully survived in documentaries and such ✨
