Pekin actually mentions something very important to understanding Shaco. League is a game where you're rewarded for taking in as much information as possible. AP Shaco is designed to overwhelm you with information. It's not that you want to look stupid, it's that you HAVE to. You just have to let him do a lot of the things he does, cause you have to make priorities. AP Shaco I feel is somewhat similar to Aurelion Sol, in that they both don't really make plays themselves, but are great at punishing mistakes. Though Shaco is less gold-reliant and a lot safer, whereas ASol is just an inevitability and a lot easier to play

D1 shaco main here: Anyone wanting to learn how to play shaco you need to know three things. 1. Waste as much of your opponents time as possible. Make as many enemy players chase you as possible so your team can get cs lead/obj secure. 2. When you press R, you will go in the direction of your cursor, which means you can go over walls with it and leave your clone behind, aka another escape. 3. Just pick off the squishy adc/mage in the back and then go do objectives. Unless your presence can turn the tide of the fight in a major way, it's better to get picks and leave to do objectives/push lanes.
