At this point we should say big 5 major sports league in America . MLS could become # 3 in the future if baseball did not become more relevante in the states again.
I can see existing stadiums trying to expand. Especially the cities that are hosting World Cup games, that should increase the popularity and excitement for the local MLS team. I know Sporting KC where I live sells out quite a bit, so an expansion could be in the future.
Portland already did that. They added 4k seats to the east end at the beginning of the decade. Unfortunately there's no room for more due to the Multnomah Athletic Club building being in the way on the south end. It looks to me like they could squeeze more seats into the space where the corners are, but I don't know if it would be worth it financially.
Football, during the infancy of its professional game, was mostly watched by the working class. Nowadays, it globally becomes more and more expensive to watch for the working class.
im a little confused on what Ginger refers to "overhangs" Does he mean the roof? Just call it a roof. Overhangs to me, refers to one deck overhanging the deck below
I dont think Messi will be playing in this stadium, he will probably retire after two seasons. Anyway, this entire complex is amazing, the huge park are a great idea.
Holy Shit, the whole MLS is just a joke. Real Salt Lake, Sporting Kansas City, D.C. United, Atlanta United, Houston Dynamo? Is the MLS a Chinese league?
@@principalmcvicker6530 that's good, we don't like US sport either. baseball, for example, is by far the most boring sport in the world. it's more exciting to watch grass grow lol
Thanks for giving MLS some airtime. Was hoping you’d cover the new stadiums.
Messi will be gone before it's finished
Now, the Miami will be well known in soccer ball since they put on airtime and the whole world will recognized the MLS SPORTS CLUB
This bro is not depressed with how many videos he does
I think Miami should try to expand that stadium to 40,000 seats.
Right!!!
If San Diego State joins the Pac-12, Snapdragon Stadium could be expanded and given a covering of some sort.
This is really interesting. I wonder how much Messi will grow the MLS.
Hopefully none
@@jordantibbetts8470 scared of the MLS🤣
@@jordantibbetts8470 Beckham didn't even grow the MLS so why assume Messi will do any better.
@@NoName-rq6bg no I just don’t like soccer, most Americans feel the same way I do.
I'm curious to see the difference in growth of MLS teams in cities that are hosting World Cup games vs those that are not.
Statues of Messi shall be built in this stadium. Mark me.
The messi effect

Imagine the Dolphins playing at Miami Freedom Park
Don’t think Messi’s team is going to allow unsuccessful Dolphins play in their stadium
Or an Old switcheroo thing
What’s wrong with you…!?

Too bad that the city/county and University of Miami couldn't develop this space for a new football stadium back in the mid-2000s. Shame.
By the time this opens Messi won't even be there
What happen to the old much better design? This one looks so plain
25k is nothing
It’s still not big enough
The original rendering was so much better. What a downgrade
