This isn't power metal. This is symphonic. This band deserves nothing but obscurity. This is bland, cookie cutter, the singer has a voice as metal as George Michael. Try Dio, Halford, Dickenson, Bas for real metal. This sounds like a parody for a video game commercial.

i've been struggling with severe bouts of manic depression over the last few months and i just stumbled onto this song, it lifted me up more than any other song i've heard this year. so powerful and catchy and passionately sung. the fantasy 'cheesiness' (obligatory in power metal) put a big smile on my face too. thank you guys

Love your music guys, it really has been helping keep me going these last months. Oh and I showed 'Oak and Ash' to my dad (he's an old school Led Zep and Black Sabbath fan, and a huge music nerd) and he said that it's amazing, and that he thinks Matthew probably has one of the top 5 singing voices he's ever heard. I think the only ones he placed above were Robert Plant and John Lennon, there might have been someone else. Not bad for your first album, especially given he's allergic to music that was released post-1989! I try and remember that we're always worthy ♥
The power of this song is immense. I suffer from severe depression in a job that can sometimes make me miserable, but after hearing this song, I now tell myself that "I've always been worthy" and working towards getting out of this dark metaphorical pit I feel that I am in. What a message to send. I absolutely love you guys.

“I’ll go where the light goes, be it thrown or be it cage”. Such a powerful line. This line, along with “I’ve always been worthy” helps me so much with depression, keeping me going, pursuing my truth and commitment to faith even in times of adversity or challenge.

This whole album is astounding. I've rinsed through all the possible power metal bands you could think of over the last 25 years or so. It's nice to hear something so enjoyable, fresh and modern, but with all the nostalgic joy of classic POWER!

Even though I just found these guys a few days ago, oak and ash, and this song are turning into my favourites for the year. My interpretation for these songs helps me fight depression, and other dark thoughts. Gotta keep reminding myself that I'm always worthy

Can confirm, I'm (Matt, Vox) really big into the idea that power metal has some real potential to affect people's mental health positively, since it's so uplifting as a style of music...the lyrics, and the performance, are written along these lines :)
