In the UK we use Automatic Number Plate Recognition, as a police car pulls up, the ANPR will scan our number plate and check for insurance, MOT, and basic details about the owner.. if you change cars a lot it's not uncommon for the ANPR to produce an error.. the police will normally investigate. 99% of the time they ask you for your driving license, radio back to head office, check your details and then come back with a nice apology. Mate I'm a white male, I'm 37 years old but look a lot younger. In one month I've been pulled over 9 times. It was not due to reckless driving they were all random stops and they say pritty much the exact same thing to me, such as checking for theft, age and random ..plrase do not throw the victom card at me! Find any one that loves getting pulled over?!

Ive never been pulled over but they dont do that here unless they know they can fine you for something. But we do have loads of random check points and they will check everyone.

In the UK we use Automatic Number Plate Recognition, as a police car pulls up, the ANPR will scan our number plate and check for insurance, MOT, and basic details about the owner.. if you change cars a lot it's not uncommon for the ANPR to produce an error.. the police will normally investigate. 99% of the time they ask you for your driving license, radio back to head office, check your details and then come back with a nice apology.
Frankly I'm happy to know a 5 minute inconvenience will stop illegal drivers.
