A typical day starts before the sunrise for a fighter pilot of Indian Air Force starting from briefing to going on sorties and the advanced combat training sessions. However, to become a fully operational fighter pilot in IAF, the three women pilots have to clear the next hurdle. Watch Avani, Bhawna and Mohana going through rigorous training on their fighter jets about the combat tactics and the use of weaponry. To become a full-fledged fighter pilot, they must complete their syllabus for day and night operation. Each of which has 5 states of flying on the fighter jets.
Women Fighter Pilots features India's first ever women fighter pilots in IAF. India witnessed women take a giant leap towards the goal of securing the skies for their motherland when Avani Chaturvedi from Madhya Pradesh, Bhawana Kanth from Bihar and Mohana Singh from Rajasthan entered the cockpit of a fighter plane. Watch the journey of Avani Chaturvedi, Bhawana Kanth and Mohana Singh from scripting history by becoming the first-ever women to undergo fighter pilot training with Indian Air Force to their glory of tearing into the Indian skies on a supersonic fighter jet all alone.

The nation mourns the loss of Flying Officer Kartik Thakur, 23 of the Indian Air Force. He belonged to Lahla village in Lad-Badhol Tehsil of Mandi district, Himachal Pradesh. He is survived by his parents.
Just 3 months after Flying Officer Kartik Thakur passed out of IAF Academy and earned his wings, we have lost this budding pilot to an unfortunate accident while training in Kolkata. Flying Officer Karthik Thakur (23 yrs old) had featured in the series, Breaking Point: Indian Air Force Academy recently. The series had captured the grit, pride, fear and utmost patriotism of 4 cadets, who were in various stages of their training at the Airforce Academy, inspiring many youngsters to join the forces.
It is being speculated that on 15th September after drowning in the swimming pool at Kolai Kanda, it was led to his death due to head injury.
The country respects and salutes you for your service. You will be missed.

BSF ki female snipers par bhi documentary honi chahiye ! Why are they not given any importance? Govt khud ko contradict kyu karti hai? Firstly, they blew trumpets to announce the opening of combat roles for women in the airforce. Now, documentaries are being made to show their achievements. Fighter pilots are same, be it men, or women! Then why are these three being so glamourised & treated as celebrities?
