Hey there! Thanks for stopping by!
if you want to support my work,
just comment whatever you want me to teach next!
THANKS!
Rist technique and positioning for left hand on snare pls
Stick control, fills and grooves, musicality!!! Thanks a million for posting these lessons up.
I have a question can you do this exercise with one pedal? Or do you half to have two pedals on your base drum
Please try and attempt doing the song 3 bastards by infant anhihilator this is day #15 of asking
Teach how to keep beat when you drop a stick, and how to recover a stick without fucking up
It's so cool to see people spin up their own businesses on RUclips. I hope this guys school takes off.
I knew a dude with slightly less subscribers who put out less videos. He was easily earning 5 to 7 k a week ....from RUclips.
Hell yeah all on real talent and skill
Yes Sir! If you're willing to sacrifice your time to teach, I am more than willing to invest the time to learn! I'm a beginner so anything related to the pitfalls and disappointments you faced just starting out would be great. It may also lead people to believe you're not superhuman so the risk is yours to take lol. Thank you so much for the lesson and I'm sure I speak for most when I say we definitely look forward to more. Blessings to you and yours everyone 🙂
Please keep this content. The ones who won’t listen past 30 seconds arnt gonna learn anything ever. There’s a small number of us wanting to learn and keep this amazing skill going so although it may be a small number it’s the ones who truly care so thank you for this and I hope to see more
On top of being an absolutely ridiculous drummer, he’s also a really solid teacher. Very clear and precise video. Straight and to the point.
He's badass
The consistency of your footwork is insane! To be able to maintain this pattern cleanly is so impressive
I can't stress how important these exercises are to improve your drumming! While I don't play anymore, I had a load of books with similar exercises and they improved my drumming exponentially! Its good to also see a drummer who knows how he got to where he is today, practice and perseverance! I loved watching this.
Thank you so much!
I have been playing drums for years with no lessons and you have provided me with new finales and fills.
I have always had trouble transitioning from beat to fill and back.
Your lessons are giving me great ideas
Your precision is unreal. I truly appreciate you taking the time to provide lessons to your followers. To be honest, I am interested in anything you wish to teach. Love the lessons!!!!!
This is the type of lessons I like. Taking a certain "groove" or "chop" and showing the progression of it. Much love!
Keep walking the dog brother 🙏 inspiring to listen to your discipline… Technique is truly humbling.
Godspeed
I would love a video on your hand technique and your favorite exercises you used to develop it. You have so much speed and control while being so relaxed you look like you could fall asleep while playing. I would love to see the stuff you worked on to get to that level. I follow a lot of drummers and your technique is one of the most impressive that I've seen. Your one-handed videos especially are mind blowing how you get around the kit with just one hand and do it so clean! 🤯
This is super helpful, been playing for 16 years but just bought a double kick pedal last month. This is exactly what I need, your teaching content is super helpful. Aprendi un poco espanol tambien.
Humildemente opino que deberías seguir subiendo lecciones, ya que sos muy directo a la hora de explicar, haces todo con tu set "reducido", y demostras que pones en practica todos los rudimentos... Saludos desde Argentina
I started playing drums a couple of months ago and found your channel... I'm really happy that I did. Great work and content, if you teach more I'll be here to learn it. My struggle is independence. Finally, I'll try this exercise with my single pedal hahaha thank you, and have a great day!
Absolutely man I'm a giging drummer. I've played a long time but lately I've felt stuck in my style and I'm trying to improve. I watch a lot of your videos and I appreciate your unorthodox and minimalist approach and you push me to experiment. Please more!!
As a beginning drummer, this is SUPER helpful, please do more! I'd like more exercises like this to help build consistency, maybe some with more variations in kick patterns. I'd also be interested in learning your personal preference on which cymbals or toms to use at certain points in a song for specific purposes (building/releasing tension).
Go to your local music store, buy "Syncopation", learn it front to back and then start over and do it with your feet. This guy is incredible but this exercise is way too one dimensional and seems like something he didn't spend a lot of time thinking about before posting the video.
A really good tip for a beginner is to spend a good amount of time on patterns where you're not using one limb to keep time.
In a normal groove for example, your lead hand will be playing the hats on the beat or on the 8th note. This can end up making you depend on that to keep time, so it's harder to pick up anything where that's not happening, which is almost every fill or chop you'll ever play.
Linear patterns like the one in this video will help you internalise the beat regardless of what your limbs are actually doing, and although it's tricky to start with it's much easier than trying to relearn it later, when you've already grown dependent.
This was such a valuable lesson for me! As a rookie of double bass, these fundamentals aren’t too hard to keep me away, nor too easy to make me bored. Challenging, developing proper muscle memory, and starting slow….Thank you!!!! Please keep these coming, I’ll make my way over to that patreon now!!
Thank you. I have been doing my trip and quads with both of my legs first for years. This simple inversion and arrangement is very helpful. Thanks again!
Saved - digging in!!! Thank you!!
I love everything you do. Any lesson is awesome, but while a drummer saved my life, I'm not a drummer, it's just one of my favorites to watch over all. So I appreciate ALL your videos and admire your abilities. And of course I'm always sharing your videos, I think you're insanely talented.
I loved this. Great content. The amount of deliberate, dedicated practice you do and the discipline you have is immediately obvious watching this
Please MORE OF THIS!!!!! TNX MAN!
Thank you so much for the lesson, Excited to see the upcoming grooves using these techniques.
This sounds so cool, if you have the time, it would be amazing
so most people who watch your videos are newer to the set, but the level that is most important is breaking that barrier of just “knowing” beats, and being creative enough to make your own and to play for the absolute fun of it! I’ve played for 5 years so I’m not a complete noob to this, but not even close to your insane level.
THANKS
Totally agree, it's easy enough to find lessons for beginners and get started, but so many of us hit a plateau once we know a few beats, a few fills, a few rudiments, and we have no idea how to do anything cool with it. 😂
Ejercicios sencillos y demasiado eficientes , con practica y mucha calma al final se les hará muy divertido practicarlos Gracias bb :y
Enjoying this only coz its you teaching, usually play to my favourite tunes for fun for about 3 to 4 hours a day. looking forward to some more and will join ur patreon sessions. Thanks for the motivation.
Love your drumming! Very nice lesson! Thank you! Hope to learn more!
Great video! Would be fun with a tutorial on stick tricks, and some of your favorite fills.
I would also love a lesson on stick tricks. Only problem is I would practice that more than the actual drumming. 😂
Would definitely love to see some good fills and how to incorporate them into a song/beat!
As a bass player, this is amazing. Thank you.
Hey man i'd LOVE if you continue to do drum lessons. Bass drum lessons and hand technique would be amazing. I look forward to more thank you!
Beginner drummer here, would absolutely love if you could do a RUclips video on the real basics of drumming as I’m sure I’m not the only beginner drummer here. I’d love to know how to apply beats that I’ve learnt for example as well as what I should practice on, since I’m at the beginning and feel lost. This would definitely get more people to be interested in your patreon.
Even if youTube didn’t sent a notification for this I believe that you should continue making these lessons because you will reach a new audience group and it will boost your channel.
awesome! i'm going to practice this. thanks!
Great video. You give clear instructions while keeping the momentum going. The video is just short enough to keep my attention and also gave me a ton of ideas to work on. Thank you. Keep these coming!
Love the instruction content! I'd love a future discussion on kit setup. I always feel like I can't get comfortable on my kit. Seat height for leg positioning, height of drums and snare, adjusting tension on pedals, arm positioning, etc.. these seemingly small details make me curious if I could feel more comfortable and have better accuracy if I knew better. Thank you again for everything!
Awesome lesson very well explained and demonstrated! Congrats on the new kit and studio. Looks great! Looking forward to sharing and viewing more great lessons!
I would love an in-depth video on bass pedals, it could be brands, settings, techniques or all of the above... love the content keep being u❤️🤘🤘
Incredible! Your videos are just awesome. I last played a drum kit over 20 years ago but watching your videos and LEARNING techniques like this make me want to buy a kit and restart my old passion. Thanks and keep doing what you are doing, its great!
As a beginner drummer I can say, keeping up with this mans workout routines is nearly impossible. But I am still trying every chance that i can 😂 you’re a beast man, thank you for taking the time to show all of us what we want to know and being great at explaining everything
Thanks very much for all your tips and tricks ! Hi hope you will continue further. Can't wait to learn more from you !!
I would LOVE to learn your techniques! I yearn for your chops!
Yes I very much appreciate anything you want to show us. Every second you spent on that kit shows up in your playing it’s so fucking impressive man. You’re an awesome drummer but you can tell you were super efficient in practicing as well. Thank you for everything you’re willing to show us. Everyone here knows these lessons are very valuable. Thank you for all your hard work.
Hello Estepario - love the channel. Could you show in slowed down format building to higher speed…how you incorporate your double stroke rolls into your double bass drum triplet pattern that I hear in so many of your IG snippets? I’m very interested in seeing the breakdown in this. HAPPY NEW YEAR.
Great video, as always. As a beginner to intermediate drummer who has plateau on his skills, these tips are fantastic. If you ever feel like producing a video of one or two drum fills that are geared towards beginners that would be fantastic.
You are an incredible inspiration to us! I absolutely love all of your work and lesson structures! Keep up the great work and look forward to seeing more exercises.
Awesome lesson, thanks! Foot pedal cam would be cool for future lessons like this!
Thank you. Excellent for an old drummer learning new practice techniques. Helps a lot.
Would love more of your teaching! Looking forward to something more intermediate, especially for practice routines!!!! Oh and where is the meshuggah mash up like you did with Animals As Leaders? Much love from South Dakota!!!
Yes.very nice exercice .I continued the developpement with all rudiments between the snare and tom bass . That's great!😎
I‘d love to see all you‘re Rudiments practice! I’m a drum beginner and can only play the paradiddle 😅 please make more videos about stick control!
You have very straight forward understandable approach, hope it goes well, peace
I would love to see break downs of every technique from the start of metal up to now. Hell i would i love to see you breakdown the history of metal drums.
First of all I just want to thank you for everything you do. I am beyond grateful for your channel. You truly have changed my life and my percussion. Any lesson you have to teach I am beyond grateful for. Thank you again for this channel and everything you do.
Thanks Mr.E, the lessons are great even though I have been playing for over 40 yrs now! I still learn new things all the time, thanks for the free lessons. I'll take it..
Thanks for the excellent lesson. The kit sounds INCREDIBLE!
Alright, so I love your RUclips shorts and always click on them when they come up. Now, I have no intention of learning to drum at this time, but this content is so well done that it has earned my subscription to your channel. Very well done! Please keep doing what you love and sharing it with the world. You are beyond talented.
Thank you for the lessons! Would love to see more! Would love to see different drills/exercises to help with double bass speed, maybe different drum fills, or anything basic that is important for the newer crowd to learn to help them grow.
yes!!!! I have been looking for your explanation of your foot triplets. I practice a lot, but i think you can help my routine and exercises
Great video!! I played all the way through college then went on to record and tour. My son has been playing for a few years now and I’m trying to help him with more complicated rhythms and this is a great exercise! Thank you!!
I love this stuff man thanks, I hope you can cover great rudiments/routines to improve my hand speed in the future
Really great stuff. Going through setting up the bass drum pedal would be helpful. I.e. effect of slack spring vs tight spring. Angle of beater, different cam shapes etc.
For me This is the stuff that I love to see I love your approach to teaching… brutally honest and practice make fucking perfect… you put in the work and you can do these things too and I will for sure check out your academy… keep being the fucking rock star you are sir and THANK YOU for this
I would love to see more videos on how to do different techniques like in this video.
I would like to know how to drum fast, how to play precisely and exercises to get better in generel.
I love this kind of content, since i want to get better at drums and rhythms.
Good work!
Great exercise! Awesome sound! Thanks for sharing! Have a great week
Awesome, just got a kit again and will be keeping an eye out for your videos! Psyched you started making tutorials man that's awesome, thank you
This is an incredible lesson to watch. I am trying to get back into drums after having kids for the last few years and this is the perfect place to start. I love your videos and can’t wait to see the next lesson.
Es excelente tener este tipo de lecciones de un maestro como ud. Me pondré a practicar y estoy esperando verlo en el concierto de Saratoga en Bogotá!!! Allá nos vemos!!!
These are great exercises❗️Thank you for producing these.
Very useful lesson! Thanks dude 🤘a lot of detailed explanation too which I appreciate - easy to follow. Keep up good work bro
💪😙💨
So simple, so effective. Thank you so much for this free lesson!!!
This is actually really useful as I've just started trying to get into playing double bass drum. I've realised that my linear coordination is all over the place and i struggle leading triplets with my right hand so these exercises will be really helpful.
I really like this video. You are such a great teacher. I like the "build routine" approach. Stay Groovy!!!
Super sic!!! Going to start working on these exercises!!! Thank you for sharing this. The other thing I would like to see is the single handed rolls.
Great lesson thanks! I would like more intermediate and advanced lessons please.
I like your videos very much. I've never put so much time, effort, and practicing time into my drumming. What you do rocks.
You are welcome to upload more explanatory videos. For example the blastbeat where you keep your shoulders lower. Mostly in the one-armed videos. Is there a special technique or is it "only" possible as a one-off downward movement?
It’s inspiring to see what a crazy good drummer you are. I’m just starting out and honestly I just want to know some training methods I can do to get better. If you had any tips that’d be great, thanks!
This is great stuff! Hope you do more of these for drummers working on their hand/foot work
Share the basics how to start, you're amazing! I'm beyond impressed!
Your studio looks incredible, your drums look sick! I love the lessons, I love all your videos but the lesson ones give insight and tools to progress. Very eloquent, really really well produced. The focus of clear shots with lots of practice (flams are good but only when you want them lol) is exactly how I love to learn. I don't have any constructive criticism because your videos are fantastic, If I could have a wish I'd ask to add that click to when your playing. It's not important and the way this video is I love it! I find hearing the click helps my brain absorb the pattern. Awesome stuff, your video venting about "being talented" was fantastic I wish everyone would watch that. Cheers
I've been following your channel for a while and I'm impressed by the speed and control you have. I would like you to teach more about how you timbre your drums and polyrhythm initiation would be fantastic.
Yes!!! I am so excited that you are doing this. Thank you 🙌🏻
Please man, show us more thecniques, chops and everything!!!
Its acttually very useful!
I would love to see more learning content, from the main things we should be practicing to get better and the intervals of doing so but also some fills that we can develop and grow would be much appreciated as well
I would LOVE for ANY tutorial videos! as a drummer who strives to be as good as you any tips on how you got so good would be amazing! I would love it if you could do more bass drum techniques on how to get fast (like this video) and more on how to speed up and make your fills sound smooth. thanks for all the time you put into these videos and keep it up!
Excellent lesson. I’m a single pedal guy so I’m practicing this slowly and hoping to get my speed up while keeping everything clean. Thanks again!
awesomely priceless info brother. Thank you for all the info you let out.
Just went through the exercise! Thank you for putting this out there!
Hey brother I just recently came across your channel. The shorts that you post are amazing. I have played the drums a very long time ago and I play the guitar (somewhat) but after seeing your videos I have decided to try and play the drums once again. So any beginner lessons would be greatly appreciated. Vids about buying and setting up the kit and pedal adjustments would be extremely helpful to people like me. Anyway I’ll continue to watch your videos because they are amazing!!!!!!
Thanks,
William
So awesome thank you, you are one of the best I have seen. Im glad I found you. Just learning to play.
Love your vids. More lessons! Hand technique would be awesome
I love how you teach! I Subscribed. Thank you! Rock on!🥁
Excelente!!! Saludos desde Venezuela. De mucha utilidad, los ejercicios que presentas. Yo he practicado otros ejercicios que he visto en tu canal y realmente son muy utiles. Gracias!!!
Great job as always! Thank you for the lesson, going to kit to work on it right now!
Lessons would be awesome! I just got my first drum set and it would be great to get more exercises on basic beats and timing
Any lesson content from you is gold. The most impressive drummer on social media imo. Great seeing your countless hours of dedication reaping rewards for you. I will be getting merch soon - keep doing what you do man. Your a damn monster 🤘🏻🥁🤘🏻
Absolutely love it. Love to hear how to get that amazing floor Tom sound! Keep it up
we would love to have contents like this...
Hello George! I’ve been watching your videos for about 6 months now! I love your music and commentary! Your story is extremely touching and I love how you pulled yourself up by your bootstraps! I would love to hear what you would do with “Top Jimmy” from Van Halen! That was my favorite song but it never really went anywhere! If you could play that one I would appreciate it! Oh yeah how do you do the gravity blast?
