Premium Soviet Cruiser "Kronshtadt" Review - World of Warships Blitz

I've been putting this one off for a while, because, well, I'm not overly fond of supercruisers. The Kronshtadt isn't actually that bad, at least she doesn't get battleship manoeuvrability, but is that enough to make her a good tier 9 premium?

The only major problem with Kronshtadt (and most other super cruisers) is that it can’t kill dds, but it’s a “cruiser”, plus it has no radar, and even it if it did, 10 secs of action time is only enough for one shot. It is a bb in a cruiser slot that can’t do cruiser things (do damage, kill dds, and zone out caps)

It absolutely can deal with dds, the guns are absolutely precise enough and up to the task if you are.

I hesitated on picking up the Kranshtadt. I was missing out! She performs amazing when played like a battlecruiser and uses her range. I had issues at first because I looked at the stats & tried to play her like the Agir, but her playstyle is more like the Siegfried. This ship is great against cruisers, good against battleships, and poor against DDs.
This is one of my go-to ships for T9 ratings battles, and I am using her to train up Makarov.

She isnt a bad ship, once u play her right. But she has that battleship label in the detail description.But she is not that. Her secondaries stink and those auto ones are not even there. Main guns are nice, but her turrets move to slow and u out turn them like real bad. If she was more Odin like she would be better. Thanks for the great review Terry. Also terry did u hear anymore on the compensation for the players who had the download issue?

Terry, your bias against super cruisers is blinding u a bit on this one. Nothing wrong with kron, Moskva, or Stalingrad. Also,you made some strategic and aiming mistakes in this and sort of blamed the ship.
Of the super cruisers the Soviet are the most viable and dare I say good. The us less so, the IJN pretty tough to play well against a good opponent.
Thanks for the video, but I have always thought you have not given the Soviet super cruisers the credit they deserve.
The only thing the Soviet super cruisers can’t do is deal with cvs. Absolutely can play against anything if u know what you are doing.

Which was utter rubbish and a total waste of money that Congress could barely justify and had no use for. It's no better in game either, even after the buff.

What really got me, when I looked at the stats, is that she's still better than Kronshtadt in most regards.
You can have good games in supercruisers, but it usually requires the situation to be in your favour.

Personally i think kronshtadt is on par w/ Alaska and better than Azuma.
Use your range and accuracy to your advantage(sitting back and farming) for better results.
I know winning is often the main priority, but russian cruisers like the nevsky line are pretty helpless when it comes to that so you might as well try to do the most damage and play this ship to its strengths
