The dryad arbour so strong is immune to toxic deluge 😂
This game is a great example of why Dryad Arbor should not be buried in a land pile and should always be represented as a creature. It should have died to the Toxic Deluge, and that's actually extremely relevant because it gave Christian the mana he needed to combo off.
Yep, this is why I hate when people do that with mana rocks as well. Multiple times people miss it to "destroy all artifact" effects.
Didn't they make it an official rule that arbor has to be among creatures after this came up in an actual tourney?

Without the dryad he wouldn't have been able to cast his commander and the finale of devastation for academy rector.

Wooo I love seeing the Second Breakfast combo go off fresh out the gates! Also fitting that Aragorn and Gandalf helped keep Sauron occupied while Sam and Frodo snuck in under a Grand Abolisher to get the win, I love it haha

I know you guys talked about it in your set review, but the new hulk pile with Samwise seems crazy, the combo pieces are only 4mv total so you can grab an extra 2mv worth of creature depending on the scenario or just Grand Abolisher for safety. Seems pretty good.

I think Sauron, the Dark Lord is the Sauron deck it’s in the colors you need and gives you really good value I think if there was a part 2 that one should be used instead. Great video I love the content keep up the work y’all are doing it’s fantastic!!
Yeah I don't understand why this is the sauron they chose. Tivit is a great cedh commander and the dark lord is pretty much a grixis parallel. Has a tough ward, has a engine that just keeps going, and has the ability to have personal wheel of fortunes. I don't get why they chose the nearly unplayable one imo.
@@conjections2506I’ve seen some debate between the 2 online. This Sauron has more inert combos with dockside loops, reanimation stuff, etc, but he’s also 8 mana. The other Sauron doesn’t have loops specifically, but is cheaper, harder to kill, and provides some card advantage. They both have their ways of being built but I think 6 vs 8 mana is just too relevant in this case
@@fosterdawson7339 100% agree. I do like them both, I should make that clear. In my mind though, I just cut straight to the 6 mana one. I'm building it in paper if that's any indication. I had a najeela shell I just basically converted to grixis.
Yeah I am going to try the dark lord in a reanimator build and have sauron lord of the rings in the 99 with displacer kitten.
@@jonathonskogman8337 my initial thought was reanimator as well. I still may yet do that. But for the moment it's just breach thoracle with maximum control. But reanimator just seems free with him.
Nobody's ever a bad guy just for forgetting stuff. EDH boardstates get complicated, and in cEDH you're probably already trying to think ahead. Shit happens.
Sauron the Dark Lord seems like the better CEDH commander, testing it out now and it’s going well!
Would love to see another one of this! Especially with the Frodo Sam deck back!

I was very excited to see Frodo/Sam as I saw them as a good hulk pile threat gets white when it came out and to see you guys thought the same thing before seeing the video. There was a misplay from what I understand with the second attack of Frodo triggering the ring ability that it does allow you to loot until the third attack of Frodo as it states when this creature attacks loot, since Frodos ability for the ring tempts you is upon attack you will only draw on the second attack from frodos ability not the rings. I saw Frodo and Sam as a bad tymna that seemed great.

I really like that Aragorn list, so I made a budget version of the deck and of course gave full credit to you for making it. the budget I set was every card under 50 € apart from Dockside, mana crypt and Ragavan because I own those already and you kinda need at least dockside for the deck to work. I'm surprised Deadeye Navigator isn't in the deck, that loops with Dockside too. Same with Birgi and Grinning Ignus, also a machine gun combo. I of course put those in the budget version.
Honestly my play to win itch has just been fixed by exclusively the intro and the name of the decks. Well done lads.

Sauron, the White Hand slaps so hard. I don’t know if it’s up to par with cedh power levels, but he is way stronk for casual tables.

They proxy a fair bit I believe, they've mentioned they have a big proxy box.

Not sure if this would change the game, but dylan should have 6 treasure when he casted dockside. There where 2 treasure of feild as well as the 4 artifacts he counted. Am I worng?
Aragorn also wins with dockside and a bouncer. Pretty solid

Deck names are excellent
As soon as you see someone playing Dryad arbor, ask him to put it as a creature. Always. Without question. Even if it is not malicious it should never be represented as a land because it is simply misleading for everyone involved.
I believe by actual game rule it must be represented with creatures
I've been getting weird vibes from 6 mana Sauron (The Dark Lord iirc), that is some serious Ward, and he's pretty beefy, and if you have the right deck you can make a lot of use out of a free 1/1 token each time an opponent casts a spell (which you can also just let get huge and have crush folks). Then, he also draws a bajillion cards for almost nothing, AND he fuels your Breach... while it's 6 mana to get him out, he's gonna stay out unless someone wipes or wins, I suspect this might be a nice Grixis Midrange deck, though I don't play Grixis.

The 2 life didn’t matter because you block with dockside against cam if your life total is actually at risk in which Tyler still kills you. No harm or foul, good game 👍🏼
I'm a little sad Saruman of Many Colours didn't make it the cut, I think he's got some real game as an Esper commander to muck with people's wincons and steal value

If Gandalf is on the battle field and you cast phyrexian revoler don’t you get to name 2 cards since gandolf doubles ETB triggers
Phyrexian revoker isn't an enter the battlefield trigger, is as it enter meaning upon resolution u name the card then hit the battlefield
Sauron also cheated, which is even more flavorful.

10:00 Why would you Dispel a Force of Will that's targeting to stop a literal Grand Abolisher "Legendary edition" that would be resolving on an opponents field? Wouldn't YOU want to be able to interact when it's their turn? It's amazing that Tyler didn't have what he needed to resolve a Walking Ballista nor Triskelion because Cam would had just given him the game.
12:30 The Zulaport Cutthrout is redundant as Samwise, the cat, and a sacrifice outlet (Viscera Seer) is all you need to win. i would had fetched for another sacrifice outlet for sacrifice redundancy but i don't know what he had in mind maybe Zulaport was part of a "backup" plan.
