Me saying that doesn't invalidate her experience, identity and how others have treated her badly but I genuinely just feel like her not being able to have a dialogue where she leaves the conversation learning something, or teaching others something - to me that's something she needs to work on and it has nothing to do with her drag or talent, it's about her, and what her flaws are as just a human being not The Vixen. I just don’t like that sibling rivalry is being used. I love seeing two black queens booked, talking they shit and staying out of drama. They are hilarious and I thoroughly enjoy the reviews. The Vixen saying that Monet says she didn't experience racism in Brooklyn, could it be that while on those trips, Monet just didn't feel like talking about while abroad??? Bob just had a Zoom through the sibling rivalry patreon and explained the situation. In the interview, Monet said that she grew up in St Lucia where everyone else was Black, so she didn't experience racism and wasn't really aware of it. When she moved to New York and started regularly interacting with white people, she began to see, experience, and understand the reality of racism. It was a massive distortion on The Vixen's part.

Often times I find as language changes and evolves and we get new terms to describe abuse. Actual abusers hijack that language to try and use it to justify their anger or actions. That’s true gaslighting. It’s very sick

Who is gaslighting Tamisha? What are they gaslighting her about? Why can’t Monet critique other queens of color?
I have to agree with the brick comment: Vixen threw a brick and now wants to run away from it. Maybe the fight for black drag equality would be faster if we didn’t have to critique our fellow queen’s looks (black or otherwise). What’s worse, maybe you ARE a person who loves a lot of looks that other people loathe, but sadly, positive doesn’t sell as much as negative.
Or worse, as a society, we’ve equated positivity with inauthenticity.
But to just bulldoze over all that nuance with “Monet makes a living from poking fun at queens of color” repackages what should really be “Monet gains some income from giving her true thoughts on what she thinks of the drag of other queens”. The Vixen, essentially, created a click bait headline with her tweet, and I truly mean a clear cut definition of click bait: attention grabbing but inaccurate, misleading, or flat out not true.
Does it reflect her feelings? Yes. But if people clarify their intent, and you think their actions should 100% change because of your feelings, that is not reasonable. That doesn’t advance black drag, that doesn’t reduce fandom toxticity, and overall, makes you look like you just want to shoot your own movement in the foot.

Ignoring the fact that just because Monet might not have experienced racism growing up in Saint Lucia, doesn't mean she might not have experienced it elsewhere.
It's the same kind of oppression olympics I've seen people using in arguments against why Gottmik had 'any need' to go on Drag Race or how his own experiences of transphobia simply won't effect him as much - because he's white, successful, male and has a strong support network.
Rather than all sides support each other, groups of oppressed and minority people now argue among themselves about who has it worse and whos experiences are more valid or 'real' oppression (as a feminist I see this constantly with women now as well). When the real enemy is on the outside, making them attack each other from within. It's so irritating.

I was team Vixen for the longest time but she has a very real problem that requires therapy! The fact she has neglected it this long is unfortunate. I truly hope she realizes that she's the aggressor in a majority of these situations and needs serious help, I'm not saying her life experiences are invalid but have yet shaped her to be who she is now and has embedded an anger in her that needs further assistance to help her live a healthy non toxic lifestyle. I wonder if the Vixen would be able to have more productive conversations when she's not on camera or on a live stream. The medium doesn't seem to be agreeable with her and often puts her on the defensive. I think she's already on the defensive in most cases, but trying to have a meaningful conversation while the toxic fanbase is maligning her in the comments probably doesn't support a healthy discussion. It seems like she's unable to have a dialogue free of exaggerated facial expressions and behaviors. She's not really receptive to comments or feedback and each of her responses feels like the defense of the wounded. It's never an exploration. She's on the defensive at all times and is therefore unable to have a meaningful conversation, which often requires vulnerability. You can't be open and vulnerable and on the defensive. It wasn't until Bob flooded her with kind comments and compliments that some of that prickly armor started to fall off. That said, Vixen likes to be vocal but doesn't REALLY like to involve herself in a deeper conversation. She'll make a comment and then act shocked that she's being included in what she refers to as "the drama." Well, I guess, if you're genuinely not interested don't say anything otherwise you have no one to blame but yourself for being included in the conversation. I have always liked the Vixen but I do think she's interested in sharing her opinions/experiences and not always receptive to others.
