From Merrick, NY: The 1969 Sanford H. Calhoun High School Choir under the direction of S. Talbot Thayer, performs THE SHEPHERDS CHORUS by Gian Carlo Menotti. This comes from Menotti's larger work, the one-act opera AMAHL AND THE NIGHT VISITORS.

The More I listen to this song the more it grows on me, the first time I listened to it this was a song I wasn't looking foward to but now after listening to it a million times I cant wait to do it next year

I was about 6 or 7 when my mom played the Mother in Amahl. And shortly after this I fell in love with opera. I am still partial to the a Capella version of the shepherds chorus.
