I think everyone loves Tomo-zo. Just for the way she ist, allways smiling, allways spredding positine vibes around her, cute and lovely and just - her! And a fantastic musician!! I love her, like a lot of people do, I guess.
Thanks guys! It’s always a little bit of a risk suggesting a Tomo-zo song, especially for people with a rock/metal background.
But to ignore it is to ignore a chunk of the GS sound, and I’m glad that it seems you had the same kind and of reaction I did - a couple of years ago if someone suggested I’d enjoy a j-pop sounding song with an umbrella dance routine I’d have said they were crazy!, but this is the effect this band can have 😁.
It’s not about genre, it’s about entertainment, and they can go from this to double kick and growls at the drop of a hat 🤣 and somehow it works.
Look forward to the next one also which rivals Mindset for my favourite GS song.

Back in the second and third year she ended up wearing a pink princess dress every show. Not my favorite group of songs but tomo does have a number of very hard core fans. I’m a Hana dweeb myself..

You're kinda correct, Tomozo's songs is a bit like inside joke or at least it started like one. First Tomozo song they releases portrayed her as the biggest start in the group (that's why she's the only one that is getting a solo) and MV for it basically doesn't feature other band members (they're either not on screen or they're obscured), only her. Fans seemed to like the character and change of vibe from their usual stuff, so they continued with it. So basically Tomozo's songs are special 😄

Thanks -- you guys were so close to hitting the meaning of the song on the head. In the tiniest of nut shells: The magic girl's umbrella is the cure for depression, with all the symbolism implied therein. This performance of this multifaceted song looks back to when the band had dancers to help animate the music (before Angie and yuri joined). TOMO-ZO wrote and recorded six previous songs directly or indirectly related to fantasy: make-believe; act-as-if; visiting alien. etc. For the 10th Anniversary Live, GS arranged a medley of these songs, and they used dancers in that, too. It's a great showcase of TOMO-ZO's enormous talent, not to mention the band's boundless energy and endless endurance. Definitely worth a look.
This is the most recent Tomo-zo feature song, with the exception of the new album 'W' she's had a feature track on every full release. It all ties into her backstory with the band lore; when she first joined the band her gimmick was that she was an eternally 14 year old magical girl, and during MC’s she would hit the audience with a magic spell that would knock them back into their seats. In 2014 this changed; turned out she was not actually a magical girl, but in fact an ancient alien from Nicorin Planet who was then 400,000,014 years old and instead hits the audience with her “TOMO-ZO Beam” which blasts them with her alien powers.
The likely origins of all this was Tomo-zo as a teenager wanted to be an idol and auditioned for an established group (forgetting the name) unsuccessfully with her guitar, before eventually joining EU Phoria which was a all girl rock band with Oreo as the main songwriter. GS has also played as AKB48's backing band and Tomo-zo got to be in the group for a day, substituting in for Takahashi Minami when she fell ill.
Glad you know this is not the usual Gacharic Spin epicness with songs and stage shows. I have not had time yet, to view your reaction to other Gacharic Spin material.
To be fair this track is too cutsey kawaii for me. I appreciate they can't have every song going at full pace so i suppose seeing it live would at least give me a rest!
My suggestion for a Gacharic Spin track is Ganbanda Dance (Live) The track is 5:02 long and the thumbnail features Oreo, the keyboard player. In this case, she has long hair.
Apologies that I can not leave a simple direst link for you. For the last three months or so, every time I leave a direct link in my comment, the RUclips AI Bot, decides it is a scam link and removes the entire comment. I find it utterly bizarre that someone could programme and accept that as a business, RUclips has an AI Bot, that can not recognise YouTune links. Every link to a YouTune video, has RUclips in the title, you have to wonder!

Good point that hardly any other band would get away with something like that. But this is Tomo-Zo as she lives and breathes. And actually, you always get a little bit of that from her, which is why I think a performance like this is no longer a big surprise. You can't help but smile with her, which is her second great magic besides playing the guitar. I can't remember ever seeing a more cheerful or positive aura from a guitarist/musician. And with Angie, she even gained someone who can join her seamlessly. ✨

Hey! I'm really glad to see you covering this song! I think GS are really starting to find themselves, but the crazy has always been there 😂. If you follow Tomo's social media, she seems so normal lol.
