      Hairlicious Inc. Can you help me explain how to know when to do a deep conditioning and when to do a protein treatment. When I wash my hair in the shower, I see some breakage. Does that mean that I need a protein treatment or deep conditioning treatment?

    Girl, I have been a relaxed 4C person since I was a kid. I always had a good head of hair. After having my children and being severley anemic, my hair is a waste land of abuse, everyone kept saying go natural..im not a natura girl. Ive always liked having my hair relaxed, but do feel the stigma thats attached to it. ANyhooo....chillleeeeee. I have been following your routine weekly for mine and my daughters hair. The first week, i noticed less breakage, the second week even less, third week there was no hair in the shower or the sink, or the comb after doing it. So i was like nice this is good, time to relax, i followed your suggestion and did a protein treatment right after the relaxer....and BAAAAAAAAAABY! My hair has NEVER in my 40 years on this planet felt that smooth, detangled, soft and strong. Im hooked. Thank you so much Hairlicious!

    I have relaxed hair. It is as dry as the Sahara desert. It is past bra length and very thick. I have no special routine other than wash condition and blow dry every other week. I am lazy. I do not even steam my hair. My hair drinks products. It desperately needs hydration. I decided to try this product line on thee week dirty hair (don’t judge lol) Step one seemed nice. I divided my hair into 4 sections to get my hair saturated. I used it on dry hair. My hair was soft and easy to manage after application of step 1. The comb glided through my hair. Next was step 2. Shampoo. I think the build up of 3 weeks of products made it difficult for the shampoo to lather. I got a lather on my second Shampoo. My hair felt nice after using the shampoo. My hair has never felt so soft after a shampoo. I was rather impressed at this point. Step three was the conditioner. The conditioner was thick and nice. I was excited when i squirted it unto my hands. I applied it and waited for 5 min. This is where things took a downhill plunge for me. My hair felt so stiff, so brittle and so unmanageable after washing out the conditioner. I tried running my hands through my hair but couldn’t without water running directly on my head. I kept the faith and finished washing out the conditioner. Then tied my head with a t’shirt for 25 min to soak up the excess water. When I removed the t’shirt to begin the blow dry process I was unpleasantly met with DRY unmanageable hair. My hair felt tangled and matted. I had to rerun to the shower and use my regular conditioner to make the blow dry process manageable. For me the conditioner is a no. Even though I conditioned my hair again. It just didn’t feel right. After my blow dry session my hair still felt stiff. I am on the fence about these products. The conditioner didn’t react well with my hair.

    Where in the relaxer cycle would you suggest we use this? I know you suggest protein for the week before a relaxer, so would you suggest this for the week before that and/or the week after the relaxer to repair bonds?

      i hope this isn't too late, but this set can be used every week, if you don't want to use it every week and would like to use your usual wash day products on other wash days, you can use this plex set on relaxer days or the wash day after relaxer, then go about your normal wash day routine on subsequent wash days. hope this helped

    Is this a good substitute for the olaplex line?

      Yes! But the ingredients are different so the results are slightly different.

    Love this video but does it compare to Olaplex no 3 or the aphogee protein treatment ?

    • @striving2beholy
      @striving2beholy 5 лет назад +18

      It is a bonding product like olaplex. I was using olaplex prior to using this and I thought it was doing ok on my hair. I mean i still had falling hair and breakage. BUT from the first use of creme of nature plex system I was amazed! No more breakage every time i touch my hair!! AND most importantly THE WHOLE SYSTEM IS LESS THAN $25!!!

      @@striving2beholy Looks like a great system for us relaxed ladies and those who are considering transitioning as well. How did the conditioner make your hair feel? There is one review of it on Sally's website and it wasn't favorable--said it made their curls feel like they were going to break.

      It probably helped your hair more than using Olaplex because Olaplex does not contain any protein & only builds the bonds, but Creme of nature plex has an ingridient in it that is supposed to 'fix' the bonds like olaplex but also contains protein :)

    Does the foam make your hair hard? That is the problem I am having with foams.

    • @HairliciousInc

      No hardness at all. That’s why I love it so much.
