  • People sometimes ask: where was G-d in the Holocaust? But the real question is: where was humanity? G-d was in a voice that has been speaking since man first walked on earth in the words, “You should not murder,” in the words, “Do not oppress a stranger” and in the words, “Your brother’s blood cries to me from the ground.” G-d wasn’t silent in the Holocaust. Listen as a survivor Rabbi Nissan Mangel tells his inspiring story of G-d’s presence in Auschwitz.

I can't live this life without my Jewish family emotional and spiritual support. I believe there are many of us who feel the same way. We need our Rabbis to keep us alive! Not only in the physical bodies, but within our souls. Please don't let anyone anymore, rob us of your teachings and presence, that's the reason why you ALL, are here in this planet. Thank you a million times. B"H

wow, just days ago I bought and received a very short paperback (almost really a booklet more than a book) of a biography of the Rambam (Maimonides). i finished reading it yesterday. yesterday i also found this video above, and now i am watching it. well, in hearing this man's story, I became curious who he was, so I looked into it deeper, and it turns out that it is the very man (Rabbi Nissan Mandel) who wrote that short biography of the Rambam that I just read. also, only after I bought and received the book, did i realize that i received it exactly on the yortzeit (anniversary of the death) of the Rambam. such amazing coincidences! i am not sure what it means, though

Stories like this are hard to give a like! Where I think such a terrible narrative of time, but being so well told and needing to be said one says thumbs up.
Like my dad I recall him telling of a guy in his little home town who returned having survived The Bataan Death March where he was all crippled up, which you can tell how he described it the man was messed up terribly.
