I have a set of Aggregates and Kimberlites in 700x50. I have other tires in smaller sizes, but due to the lack of 700x50 available on the market I wanted the volume.
Took additional time to receive the second Kimberlite so most of my rides have been on the Aggregates....
They've performed to my expectations, which is actually exceeding my expectations because these tires perform as good as tires twice as expensive.
They are smooth, compliant and roll along perfectly fine. They setup tubeless on non-tubeless 'ready' wheels with just a foot pump. The sidewalls seem very robust.

I hope you review Goodyear's gravel tires in near future. I love your review style especially about wear rate.

I picked up a pair of the Kimberlite 700x40 last Friday. I was going to get the Pirelli Gravel H before finding them.. Really liking the Kimberlite so far. Super easy tubeless setup with floor pump. They feel like a lovechild between the Specialized Pathfinder and WTB Byway.
I'll probably pick up a pair of these Krumbeins for my 650b snow tyre now.

I'll be really interested to see how people like yourself adopt the American Classic range. The pricepoint is so damn cheap! Especially compared against Specialized tyres

@@JustRideAdelaide They're incredible so far. I'll admit I do feel a higher rolling resistance compared to my the previous WTB Resolute I had on there but for the extra puncture protection and that warranty discount it's well worth it. Especially when I consider I only had the Resolute for 5 months, now the rear has nearly no tread and had from what I could count, 23 punctures.

@@EurynomusBH haha wow, that sounds like a friend of mine who went through a set of WTB Byways. By the end they had about $50 worth of plugs in them because they punctured so much.

@@EurynomusBH Did the 700x40 kimberlites run true to size or a little smaller?

I just ordered a set of the wenthworths after a several days search for something that’s going to be a good year round tire on a budget flat bar hybrid/gravel build I’m doing. Everything I like was above my budget, everything in my budget I didn’t like. I was about to pull the trigger on the Pirelli Gravel M despite the price because I had a 15% discount but they still would have been $120 USD for the set. Once I saw your other video I hopped on Amazon and read some reviews there and ended up going for the wentworths. There was a 10% off discount on one tire, with my prime membership and tax they were $72 for the set. I can’t wait to try them. Several of the reviews said the 700c sizes, both 40 and 50, ran small regardless of different size rims. They were several millimeters smaller in every case. I went with the 700x50 hoping they’ll actually be the 45/6/7 people are measuring because I’ve only got about 54mm of clearance on this old frame and fork I’m using.

If you look around you can get any of the high end tyres for more like $70 Aussie. The savings here don’t really seem worth it.

Would you consider the terra speed if you could buy them für 55aud? Or is wear still too high at this price point? In germany you can buy them at this pricepoint and they are available…while everything else is sold out…

    • @JustRideAdelaide
      @JustRideAdelaide  3 года назад

Oh yeah, I'd buy the Terra Speeds for $55 AUD and have expectations they'll get to about 1,000km. Plus if everything else is sold out then your decision has already been made!

Do the 700x50 actually run as a full 50cm?

So exceptionally heavy and requires inner tubes for most models. But overall a good price point.

Heavy, yes, but this whole gravel range is tubeless

Krumbein means Crooked leg in German lmao. I can recommend the continental race kings, faster rolling and longer lasting than their dedicated gravel tire.
