I turn 62 next month and buying a new Harley for my birthday. My last bike 17 years ago was a heavy ass street glide with the sluggish 88 cubic inch engine so torque & power was not impressive. When I saw this new lighter weight mid size cruiser with the 117 engine I knew immediately this is the perfect motorcycle for an older rider. I am 5'7" 130 lbs so hoping the standard fairing will provide enough wind protection as I will also be wearing a full face helmet. Back in the day I wore a $10 plastic brain bucket just so I wasn't pulled over in NY. The only modification I will be making is changing the pipes and doing either a stage 1 or stage 2. I do NOT like going 100MPH on a motorcycle but I LOVE going from zero to 60 as quickly as possible so need to figure out what engine mod Harley recommends. I am not even sure if all stage 2 upgrades use the same cam or are tailored to the individual's preference or if I just need a stage one with new pipes. Thanks again for the new video and you have yourself a new subscriber. Safe travels my friend!!
I understand exactly where you're coming from. I am turning 65 in August, and I currently ride a 2017 Ultra Limited with a 107CI M8 engine. I have put a Stage 2 kit on my Ultra Limited, which gives me 113 hp and 118 lb. ft. But, having bad knees and shoulders, the FXLRST will be my next bike. Good luck moving forward!!!
The street glide will give you more wind protection and alittle more room to store your items in the bags, I spent months making up my mind and went with the low rider st. More nimble and customizable in my opinion

BROTHERRRR
Would you recommend a Low Rider ST for a beginner?
Yes, just take your time and ease it to into it, has lots of power but nothing that someone couldn't get used to quickly.
@NeverSatisfiedOfficial good looks! Appreciate you, boss!
I’m torn between lowrider st and street glide

I have the same bike 2024
Right on 🤙🏻
